Absolutely beautiful piece of artwork my 66 has been sitting for about five years and I wish I could afford to have one of these friends put on. I want to drive it again. It’s got really really old school technology and a hack job on lowering it maybe someday, love your channel very informative and through my progression of healing from pancreatic cancer. I love watching anything VW specially your channel kudos to you guys.
Thanks for all that you do for the Vw industry! Bad Ass Quality Caftsmanship. The videos are awesome!
Yes please.
I have only watched a handful of Airkewld videos to this point, this one was excellent! Five STARS. Just happens to be right where I'm at in my Thing project, so very applicable and informative. Thanks!
My ultimate wish. Superb workmanship and presentation. ✊
Life long VW nut here. I'm finally building my '69 Beetle the way that I've wanted it to be since 3 decades ago. I am absolutely buying one of your beams! You'll hear from me soon!! Thanks for what you are doing for our industry.
Thanks Daniel!
Bought your 4" narrowed beam and starting to install it. This has been a tremendous help as this is my first time attempting. Thank you for video demo. Stay safe.
Thx Kirk!
Another great video Pete, I'm saving up for my own.
Thanks for the info!
So yea. You’re a bad ass and make bad ass stuff.
And I totally needed this video right this second. Thank you. Keep it up.
Love the new beam. Great video.
I've never seen such a detailed, professional build....EVER...and I've been building cars a lot of years. AMAZING DETAIL.
Wow, thanks!
This has been on my wish list for awhile, maybe I’ll win it for my ‘71 Bug. I’ll get one this year either way. Airkewld rocks!
Super clean!!
Love the details

Thanks Dino
Excellent video.....
Ótimo trabalho.
Awsome work!
Thank you! Cheers!
My 67 would love this beam. Perfectly detailed. Perfect stance.
Neat video for what looks to be quality parts. As a small FYI - when you run the jamb nut on, screw the tie rod end in, and then put the anti seize on the male threads - the first couple threads on the tie rod end stay dry, along with the innermost threads in the sleeve and the jamb nut threads. If you put a little anti seize on the tie rod threads before running the jamb nut on, and in the sleeve on the female threads before threading the tie rod end in - it coats all the tie rod end threads, the innermost sleeve threads, and the jamb nut threads. While this may not be an issue on some builds, coming from a rust state, I've learned to try to lube and protect threaded parts as well as possible.
I need this!
Awesome thanks for sharing Great info yes l would love one for my 68 bug 😎👍
That is one sexy looking beam.
Awesome video and even more awesome front beam! On my list to do!
Thx Ben
I’m in, would look great on my rebuild of a 1970 dune buggy. I’ll though I would need it in Florida Gator Orange!
That’s got to be the sexiest beam I’ve ever seen I’d love to have one under my 1971 Baja
Thanks Brian! We have a couple different versions for the Baja. Stock everything and a 3.5" lifted version. Let me know if we can get the chance to WoW you!
Es un estupendo trabajo.. desafortudamente vivo en Mexico y no hacen envios.. 😔

I lost myself in time watching you. I just wanna learn how this front air vw suspension / steering works. Thank you!
nice info thanks
Thx John!
Are my camber adjusters supposed to stay stationary on the ball joint or pivot with the spindle
I'm ready for mine. King/link pin for the win!
Let's do it!
Where is this chassis rebuild contest?
Hola desde Panamá 🇵🇦🇵🇦
I’m finally going about putting my beam back into the car and almost forgetting where I’m at, this has been massively helpful!
What is the thread size on the grease fittings in the beam? Mine weren’t blocked off when going for powder coating and just want to cut the powder back out!
8mm x 1.00
I would love that beam on my Red Baron bug, 🇬🇧🇬🇧
Waiting on mine, can you do a video on proper way to adjust ride height ?
I will put one together in the coming days Ronny! Thanks for the business!
Now I just need to get a bug so I can get one of these xD
You guys don't use steering stops?
Like your video how did you square square up the tie rods I didn't see that video part of it thanks
Thanks for the comment Ronnie, I used a carpenters square across the face of the spindle and referenced the 90 degree angle to the tubes of the beam.
I want it!
What would I be looking at for a 61 Karmann Ghia with 5x205, rotors drop spindles, ball joints
Hey 👋🏻 Nick, thanks for the comment. We are currently out of brakes at the moment but hope to have them in the next couple of months. The beam can be found here www.airkewld.com/Stage-1-PRObuilt-Adjustable-Beam-Complete-2201-p/2201.htm
Let me know if you have any questions and thanks for watching. Hope you are subscribed 😜
Would so love to put one under my new gotten bus.
How do we get in contact. I live in Vegas and would really like to put this in my chenoweth buggy
Fantastic video. First of your videos I’ve watched and now subscribed! I have a standard 76 beetle front end with tyre hitting upper left torsion arm at right full lock (1 1/4 turns). Clearance in the left lock (1 1/2 turns) is ok. I was checking the arms on your video thinking the wrong arms are on mine but all looks ok. …any clues please? Coming to you from Australia.
Split the revolutions of your steering wheel in half. Then align the car with out moving the steering wheel so you have 1 3/8 on each side. Then remount the steering wheel so it is straight. Then you will have the same amount to turns left to right and right to left. If you still touch, then the offset of the wheels is too great for the vehicle and a space might be needed should you still want to run the same wheels.
Hola que tal, me encanta como quedo, es un sueño para mi hacerle eso a mi carro VW 67, saludos desde México Ciudad.
Hey! I want one under my car!
Love to have one for my 64 Vw
We can help Mark. 623-518-3537 if you want to discuss it.
HI gents, watched the video, very nice! I have a VW Type 3 1972, I'm trying to finish the renovation, and starting to look for a Better than stock Suspension package, front and rear. what is a Rough estimate of the cost for the vehicle. Thanks for the inspiration.
www.airkewld.com/Articles.asp?ID=357 We stopped making parts for the Type 3 last year Tony but you can subscribe to our list and if we get enough interested parties, we will move forward.
Please make this and disc brakes for Bay window Bus. We've used your front end and front/rear brakes on our Beetle and love it ! Restoring a Bay Window right now and realized you don't have anything for 68-70 Bus.
Sorry Larry, we decided against doing products specific to the Bay.
What do you think of IMOHR suspension
Conflict of interest to give my opinion, sorry my friend.
I would LOVE to win an Ultimate Beam 👍
i NEED ONE FOR MY 1970 SQBK. IM IN ORANGE , OC CA
Sorry for my ignorance...a tortion bar is not required on this beam? Thanks.
They were installed first thing
what is that orange vehicle at 0:30 ? I feel like I have seen one of those before...
Fridolin
There are no springs on this type of suspension?
New VW of mexico 🇲🇽 torsions
Cuando Valera ese kit , espero queno más de lo que vale un carrion de esos

Pick wheels you want to run first, then stance you want and then we can build a package for you.
Do you build fron ends for Type 181
No problem. Like this - www.airkewld.com/Stage-1-PRObuilt-Lifted-Beam-Complete-2204-p/2204.htm

You beetle guys in the US are so lucky. Here in sSouth Africa we have to deal with reconditioned backyard jobs and they all use crap parts.
Here in south Africa the currency of the rand dollar is killing us we can't afford it
Cobus Van Niekerk absolutely
Recondition one yourself with quality parts. Thats what i´m doing.... from Brazil.
