Ok so I’ve never entirely understood this sequence. Why are all the other employees freaking out when it appears that Jack might win? I get that Ron is sleazy and obnoxious, but did they think he was gonna have a meltdown and fire them all if he didn’t win? Lol that one guy keeps literally pulling Jack down and is yelling something to him… did he think he was saving Carolyn’s job by making sure her husband didn’t beat her boss???
Martin Mull was afraid of me...I was working on another picture at the time with his buddy Fred Willard..Willard was having a smoke blocking the door of the honey wagon( traveling toilet) and when I tried to exit something was blocking so I kept banging the door...you walk up steps to the door..which was hitting Willard fairly hard between the shoulder blades...( I didn't know!) I think that and the fact that a grip mistook me for a stage hand as I had helped on move a sofa...he called me lazy and told me to get my ass to work..so I tore him a new one and scared him...( To me it was no big deal but my old man was a sociopath so my idea of easy wasn't)... I think word got around and people thought I was mean....
Does anyone know what Jack and the guy- who keeps tugging At him and trying to sabotage him- are saying? I’d love to see a shooting script of this. Not sure if this was filmed by the main unit or second unit?
Also what’s the English woman “saying” toward the race’s end? After she says “what’s he doing!!?” In a very American accent lol it looks like she’s mouthing “oh my God!” To Caroline, Maybe?
No. In the original theatrical version, they used the actual theme but Fox got sued for not asking permission and they were settled by making an original score. Still this sounds similar to the original Chariots of Fire theme.
