The argument about the beard and flannel shirt is THE BEST...I want that whole rant as my ring tone..."The house is mess Jack, the kids are a mess Jack, your a mess Jack"
when I was a kid, I never really understood the movie, just that it had a cool vacuum cleaner in it, and I saw a glimpse of a lawnmower(I was always into lawnmowers too), also the tv repair woman fixing the tv and it showed one of the original "justice league" cartoons. Also, the "chainsaw part"- I'm gonna have to borrow that chainsaw one of these days- then it'll be "how about a little trim on that mustache Jace?
my dad had a huge old fan(kinda like a shop fan without the stand) he said when he was in the army, they actually made a fan with a washing machine motor. I dont know, but up until like, 10 or 15 years ago, he had some kind of fan or something hung up by bailing wire in his barn hi up. I plugged it in via a real long fat 2 wire cord it had, not for very long-maybe a second- sounded like an airplane- I thought it would fly off!
I used to have a 1-CR that started up like that. after awhile, I had to change the bearings. still started up like that. and ya know what else it could be is that second motor in the movie vacuum starting up too.
yeah, it kinda does...I saw an ad that was from the 50's of a remote controlled mower. Then one day, I actually found the actual mower on ebay! I think I may have the picture saved. I'll check-that is if you care to see it
I finally found what this movie was called. I remember back in March 2002 when I was 7 years old seeing this and thought it was hilarious. Never knew the name or saw it again until now.
dude, I didn't mean to make you mad. I was just curious as to maybe someone actually went and built a Stanley (aka "Jaws") vacuum cleaner movie prop like that. Cuz I know a lot of other people have built movie props such as Ghostbusters props and stuff. I have quite a few machines, but not quite as many as you. Good job!
dunno man. I wondered that myself. maybe some guys name that had to do with the prop building for the movie, and they didn't want to pay royalties for the Scott&Fetzer company. pretty wicked machine . I wanted to build one. I tried to once looking at the screen shots from the movie best I could, but didn't get very far. I sure would like to know whatever happened to that prop. I even tried to contact the original prop master, but obviously didnt get far. I did find out recently.
Kirby Classic 1CR I believe. I've taken tons of screenshots so I could zoom in and edit many angles. problem is when zoomed in a lot its hard to see detail real well.
One of Keaton's best~~~great cast and very funny movie. Great watching for a "blue" day!

Being 12 when this movie came out and still loving it today brought me here!

All of the service people run out of the house at the same time (due to the "runs" the baby was about to have)! :) :)
Omg, re watchin this after about a thousand times and I jst realized that's why they all left runnin ❤ God I'm slow
"...now look you....RUN!!!" Gold!
I love how they are playing theme from "jaws" LOL
He was like "wut the fo sho?" at the washing machine. 😮😆
Loved this movie as a kid, now watching it with my granddaughter and she loves it 😊
Excellent movie......5 stars !
The vacuum scene traumatized me as a kid
Me too
It was the washing machine freaking out that traumatized me lol ❤
he also built the remote controlled Snapper mower for the original "Honey I Shrunk the Kids"

THIS was my roll in life at a point in time plus this is my favorite movie hands down
I wonder how Bruce Wayne would cope raising three kids while Selina Kyle went to work…🤔
What started out as smug confidence turns to mayhem and panic. This movie is great
"You gave a baby chili? Aaahhhh!!!"
What’s wrong with chili? Lol
I use this line all the time.lol

That T.V. repair lady gets 45 bucks an hour?
220, 221.....whatever it takes
Was the washer moving on its own because they over packed it? I asking if that’s what happened?
The washing machine went off balance. Modern washers will have pedestals and suspension rods underneath for preventing them from going off balance.
Before the world went insane.

Pretty cool so I guess the answer is that Stanley was a vacuum in the Mr. Mom world. Maybe a parent company of Schooner tuna.
Very entertaining and fun to watch. Thanks for posting this.
Tide in a big box.
I love Mr MOM
Love this movie

yes I DO believe it was a 1-CR. I've been wanting to build one(Jaws) since I was 8 years old!
Yes it was a Kirby classic 1 CR modified. They put in a drive unit and used a remote control to move it around .
You need to post the entire movie in 7 or 8 parts. Please. It's a great film.
I finally found what this movie was called. I remember back in March 2002 when I was 7 years old seeing this and thought it was hilarious. Never knew the name or saw it again until now.
I saw it around when it came out. Around the same age. I was seven in 1983. Always loved this movie.
Great clip!
Everyone’s cool until the vacuum starts moving on it’s own
That would be cool
It does shows what not to do inside the house
Stranger Things 2 brought me here.
when he turns it on it sounds different. it makes a "doing" sound the second he plugs it in.
what a funny movie.excellent
lol what is it a milkshake. The stirring lol 😆
I used to have an Omega but it died. Had the original bag too.
hmmm...never thought of that...
Is my favorite movie is Mr. MOM

Why does the bag on the Vacuum say stanley? I though it was a Kirby?
It is a Kirby Classic 1CR in real life. It was modified for the film.
@@mattjones7621 Did they use a real Kirby or did they just b*stardize a prop?
They used a real Kirby model 1-CR. They modified it for the film. @@SylvesterTheSupernatural16
@@mattjones7621 do you know where the vacuum went? If it even exists still?
That I don't know.@@SylvesterTheSupernatural16
5:33 that vacuum cleaner looks scary, hungry & tough.
yeah it does. I've been trying to find out where it is or who has it or did they get rid of it after the movie?
And the washing machine
The vacuum was a Kirby classic 1 CR modified. The washer was a late 60’s early 70’s Westinghouse front load washer.
I have custom lore on Jaws, *he knows how to work a Glock*
@korahean9389,and eating up the little boyo's "woobie", PLATINUM 🤣L...

Butler, you got a problem with your horizontal hold?
lol
OMG 😲
destroyed in what way?
does anyone know the make of the washer in this movie? It might be a Lady Kenmore not sure though or maybe a Benndix?
It was a late 60’s or early 70’s Westinghouse.
Does anybody know what Kirby model they used to make that prop.. a classic 1-CR maybe?
Yep (late reply lmfao)
Is this what lead you to become Beetlejuice?
lol! I get it now
an actual "stanley"?! seriously?! oh man- this I gotta see! send me a pic

That vacuum looks like a lawn mower
Kinda
did you hear a doorbell is ring
1983
Didn't the exterminator appear on Friends?
that was pretty funny later on (I think he says "not now kid!") "I warned ya Jinx!"(wasn't Jinx the guy that fired Jack Butler?)
Old vacuum cleaner.
that little girl looks like laira kate
the washing machine was unplugged and mess with water
lol
I had an exterminator come yesterday cuz I had bedbugs in my bed. I always think of this scene for some reason.
I bet you're a trump supporter
@@Michael_Beanflip No, my dad is.

I know made the vacuum cleaner by kirby.

Vacuum sound does not fit the visual at all. It should be a Kirby Classic 1cr sound, not a Hoover Convertible
the dad go living room and saw mess with plant pot on carpet and
go to the kitchen
and go watch tv
Lol
what happened in the kitchen when the smoke detector start buzz
Chili got burned!
clean the bedroom
Cut it off too early!
What's the S mean?
swaz sticker comes to my mind
Stanley, you can see it on the bag
OMG 😲
