  • Kota Kinabalu's Durian Street doesn't disappoint, there were so many nice stalls there with friendly sellers. Durian was super Yummy and high quality as expected for Malaysian Durian.
After that we went to some market area in Kota Kinabalu to buy some snack and explore around . Market was quite shocking they had Dried Sea cucumber on display, I never quite seen something like that.
Kota Kinabalu is close to sea and is well known for seafood, but I didn't expect to see such unique fish sold at stalls, so yeah was quite a experience for me and Frecilla.
Thanks for watching, blessed to have your support! :) ❤️❤️❤️

If you are still around KK for another day, you should ask Presilla to take you to the 66 market which is incorporated into the longish Old Town White Coffee outlet.( facing the Bandaraya Mosque) at tg. Lipat. In that building, there is one food stall which surprisingly had Imported fish from Uruguay! It is dried fried and served with rice! Wish you can try before leaving! i ate there very often after cycling along tg lipat.

durians traditionally had been classified by their taste, ranging from the expected Very Sweet,Medium Sweet,Bitter Sweet and Bitter. The degree of fragnance usually can be detected by literally smelling the outer skin ( despite the danger of the thorns, pricking your nose n fingers).

We were really lucky with those ones, it was so sweet and creamy for cheap variety. Later some chinese couple gave us more expensive variety, but for me it was less good. Frecilla I think liked it more, so depends on taste too I guess😁

Wow! Great-looking Sabah durians! Do enjoy! It is also one of my favorites. Just for info ( you need not believe me BUT,it pays to be careful instead of regretting it later). The Chinese community is very particular about what a person Drinks After eating durians! Stay off Any form of alcohol ( beer, stout n whiskey) and also gassy carbonated drinks like Coke, after a durian meal.Stay off .. at least a couple of hours. just plain water is best. There had been incidents whereby those who drank alcohol n ate durian simultaneously, had been admitted to the hospital when their abdomen got Bloated due to the strong reaction between the durian flesh n alcohol! Rgds from David Kampar Perak Malaysia.

Good durians indeed, David. :) Wow, thanks for warning David. I recently ate a bit too much Durian and I also felt heat in stomach. So smart to enjoy in moderation :D

The name durian is from the word "duri" means thorn. Presila mistaken the pulasan as rambutan 😅 its ok because even some locals did not know pulasan..pulasan taste not as sweet like rambutan. Maybe next time you can visit durian orchards n see the durian tree, try durian kampung etc

Wow, cool, I never know the meaning of the name. Visiting orchards would be amazing honestly during the season😋😋
