Priscilla had the right idea , coconuts are high in potassium helps replenish electrolytes prevent dehydration, leg cramps and exhaustion. You could also try 100 plus or Asam boi does the same thing .

For your info, during my first hike up this same hill, initially,I was also puzzled by the burnt tree trunks, saplings and leftovers on the slopes! Found out from other regular hikers that often lightning strikes and unfortunately,the trees that stick out,are often,the easy targets! In a way, it may be considered Nature's own way to regulate..the burnt remains do become good natural fertilizers,for the next growth! Keep on enjoying Sabah! East Malaysia is coconut pudding (with milk, coz it's white?) but in West Malaysia it's coconut jelly (jelly like, with shredded coconut flesh & pandanus flavour). Both are yummy! 😋

Sabah is rich with wildlife bro, especially monkeys 🐒 even rare ones like Proboscis monkeys, Tarsier monkeys, Slow loris monkeys, Orang Utan etc
