  • Time to do make some dimpled speed holes! Following the previous video where I built the bomber seats, I add dimpled holes without the use of dimple dies, or an hydraulic press. No expensive tooling required! The simplest way to do great looking dimpled speed holes!

      For simpler version i did with just piece of pipe and ballpin hammer slaming with 1kg hammer. And once tried in good blacksmithing vise i recovered from scrap both works. Not so sophisticated and effects are bit worse than presented here but if it works it works :)

    WOW..I wasn't expecting that. I think that is as simple as it can get. Truly innovative. Now have to go look for some steel balls, my brass ones just not gonna do the trick...lol. Thank you again for sharing Div. By the way seats look "awesome". You could drill multiple holes on the seat frame say 20/25mm (3/4" or 1" ) apart, 2 or three of them, so that you have a little ajustability in the forward/backward direction.

    • @ratrodsafrica
      @ratrodsafrica  Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks my friend! You know me, I like as simple as possible!😅 Been learning over the years that simple, yet effective engineering is the hardest. One of the benefits of your dimple die system over commercial dimple dies is that you can space the holes much closer together. After foolishly spending the money for an expensive commercial system I discovered this when I was working with a test piece. Still, I guess I don’t regret spending the money. We shall see in the future.

    Drill a hole through the center of the ball and the center of your lower cup. Use a pin to center the ball in the cup. The ball then will be the centering guide

    • @ratrodsafrica
