      @@BoliceOccifer Fans gave this rationalization why the war system is shit on Vic3, always referring to the 19th century as the most peacefl period in history, refusing to admit, that the century began with the Napoleonic wars and contained some of the most bloody conflicts of the modern history, such as the American Civil War.
      Plus the game's timeline is between 1836 and 1936, sooo... WW1 and a possible WW2 should happen within this timeframe.

    @spudgun official
    seems the issue with the machine parts are related to both lag and the fact that machine parts are required for the upkeep, combined these make the machine parts factories collapse and then further leads to the collapse of industry around it and the world due to the lack of machine parts for upkeep - once two or more countries get enough production going the issue disappears completely - i hosted a game for myself on two installs of v2 and then filled up the download to mimic lag and ran it at highest speed; i got it to appear once in three tries so take this with a good deal of salt and pepper but something similar could probably be tested with a vpn...
    fixes could include having artisans always be capable of producing machine parts and/or having machine parts not be required for machine parts factories

      Victoria 3 had all that time to improve on Victoria 2! It had all that time to learn from the mistakes and make something perfect!

      The fact that nobody in this lobby of highly experienced Victoria 2 multiplayer players has never heard of this happening to someone and that nobody in the comments has had it shows how rare it is. 1 person in the entire community, it's probably clientside.
      In Victoria 3, every single player can report issues from dodgy multiplayer (None of me or my friends can get an MP game into the late 1870s without it dying), oil shortages or other goofy crap.
      While I used to be a spudgun doomer, I have enjoyed my 50 or so hours in vicky 3, however, painting it that Victoria 2 is anywhere near as broken is insane, I've never really had an issue in Victoria 2 that wasn't related to mods.

      @@evelyncooper724 I absolutely agree that Victoria 3 needs a ton of work. I think people are just used to Vicky 2s jank and thats why they think it's less broken.
      I don't think it's a problem to say Victoria 3 is a disappointment or needs huge improvement. I think Spud hates the game because they didn't design it for the MP community. . . but that'd be like being upset that COD isn't designed around SP.
      For example, I couldn't care less about MP stability for another six months until AI is improves and some other features are improved. The game needs a LOT if work but I'm enjoying it.

      @@SpudgunOfficial Nah, not saying that. Victoria 3's design paradigm is fundamentally wrong. Vic2 is busted (e.g. the inevitable 1890s liquidity crisis) but it's also fun to play and fun to watch. Often the busted nature of the mechanics is part of the fun.
      Vic3 is just boring, boring, boring. It's like it was designed to be as unengaging as possible.
