- We have got a Zelda cartoon in the past and Nintendo are now making a new Mario movie, but did you know of this official Wind Waker series?
It night not be what you expect but this series is defiantly worth the watch and today i want to give my thoughts on this forgotten Zelda series!

As someone who has cosplayed Zelda from the 80s cartoon I like saying it to lol also have people always say it to me at conventions

This is cool. There is indeed a problem with 1-1 recreations, and that's just the difference between watching something or interacting with it. How can they possibly recreate something that has the same satisfying punch as pushing a button to stab Ganon? It's nice to see this done properly.

The best part of the original Zelda cartoon series is that there was all-but no lore for it to be based on, so the writers and artists had free reign to do whatever they wanted. Link? Check. Princess Zelda? Check. Ganon? Check A fairy? Check. A couple of Triforces? Check. "Hyrule"? Check. Various enemies like Moblins, Stalfos, and Gleeok? Check. That's pretty much it. There were no personalities to work from except "Ganon evil, Link & Zelda good". Everything was made wholecloth for Friday afternoon kid entertainment.
Sadly, there are some man-children out there who think that the DiC-created show is _canon_ somehow. Thankfully, the number of people who make this mistake number only around 1, mostly because the opposite is obvious. If you are that single, solitary person who thinks the Zelda cartoon from the 80's is canon, even after being called out on being an idiot and after all these years, _seek help._ 🤣

Im glad someone else is getting the toon link love he deserves. I also believe that toon link is the most expressive character in zelda as a whole.

@@SuperZeldaGirl just finished watching. First, thanks again for sharing. Never heard any other Zelda tuber (and I follow many) mention this before and they were really cute and funny. Also got to see some interesting camera angles I don’t think we’d get to see in game since they had access to the programming itself (like the closeup of link’s bow when he’s changing between magic arrow types). Also never realized the Helmaroc King actually sees Link when he hits the fortress wall in the barrel. Thanks again! Have a great rest of your day

Its definitely better than the cartoon that gave us "Excuuuuuse me princess" but then I imagine open heart surgery would be more enjoyable than that cartoon 🤪 Thankks for reminding me about this, saw it a looooong time ago but I barely remember anything, time to go search for it again 😁
