- The moon from Majora's Mask is a iconic part of the Zelda series with this creepy recognisable face, but did it always have this face or was it just a effect of Majora's magic?

@@voidpunch1324 Thank you very much!
You can do it mumen rider ! I believe in you!
I had no idea there was a moon on the Mayor's Chair but that makes SO MUCH SENSE now! :O
Its a detail i never seen brought up, i think its a cool little detail that adds to the world just a little bit!
The moon looked happier before
Poor moon
Ye. I never noticed that not many npcs talk about its face.
You would think it would be mentioned by a lot more
Great theory. I would like to add that the face on the moon is not an evil grin but a grimace meaning that moon isn't being mind controlled to fall but is just being pulled down. The moon is making that face and crying because he can't do anything to stop.
yeah that's what i was trying to imply with saying its a victim of Majora though i may not have explained my thoughts the best haha saying its being pulled down over made to fall does fit a little better
I agree because majora’s mask doesn’t really make huge changes to the appearance of things it curses. It just makes them angry and mean
If the moon was a living thing im sure being controlled by Majora's power wouldn't be the best thing for it
It makes you wonder... *If the moon of Termina always had a face, did the sun as well?*
Think about it, could the Sun Blocks and Sun Switches in Ikana Canyon be a representation of Termina's real sun? Does the presence of the Sun Mask also indicate the people of Termina celebrated the sun?
For that matter, did Skull Kid do something to the sun? When you think about it, you don't really see the sun much in Majora's Mask, except on the occasions where it's weakly peeking through the murk of the skyline.
Perhaps the sun and moon of Termina were friends, and after Skull Kid potentially moved the sun out of its proper orbit and/or damaged it, that's part of what brought the moon into such a rage. The Moon's Tear could be indicative of the moon weeping for his friend.
I'm just rambling and speculating, of course.
The theory connecting this moon to the faced asteroids in SNES Star Fox is one I couldn't forget.
I always thought the moon of Majora's had a face, even when I was a kid. In fact, I'd have to watch a theory to try to convince me that it DIDN'T always had a face. Dunno why, it just always seemed right to me.
Same though I see far more who think the face is a result of majoras control so I thought I’d show evidence in game
@@SuperZeldaGirl And I loved every minute of it. You got yourself a new sub!
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to binge watch your other videos.
7:44 if thats the moons true face, i hope it stays angry forever
Lol yeah it’s not really a improvement is it 😂
And that may be the reason the Moon cries. Deep inside it doesn't want to destroy the world.
Inside the moon's four mini-dungeons, in the rooms found at the end of each one where Link finds the four children wearing the boss masks and is asked several philosophical questions by them, these rooms that look like children's playrooms each have some large stone blocks in them. And on these blocks are faces that resemble the moon's face. But instead of the fearsome and angry looking expression it makes as it falls closer and closer to Termina, the expression of the faces on these blocks is one of pain and anguish, almost as if it is crying out in desperation, "Help me, please!" In a sense, these blocks inside the moon's four mini-dungeon playrooms are showing the moon's real face in that moment, one of sorrow and agony.
I think the Moon smiling like the moon on the mayor’s chair is more terrifying than the hostile face it has now
I’ve seen theory’s about the moon being forced down and the face is the moon not quite understanding why it’s aboht to destroy its own world. Hence why when you go to the astral observatory it sheds the moons tear because even its unhappy with the situation
When I was a kid, I at first thought (before knowing the Anju&Kafei-sidequest) that the mayor also was controlled by Majora (and this is why he was so indecisive during the evacuation-discussion - because Majora wanted him to ruin Clock Town); the moon on the chair being an indicator to or perhaps even a tool to achieve this fact - it smiled because it was "happy" (or it was expressing Majora's happiness/joy) that Mayor Dotour was harming Clock Town. So during the game Link would of course free the mayor from Majora's influence.
Ever so slightly disappointed this didn't turn out to be true, I think it's a cool idea.
When you were talking about the moon's real face, I had to think about the cubes in the masked children's rooms on the moon's surface. It always seems to me that this (sad?) face looks similar to the moon's face.
If I remember correctly, in the german official guide to MM it stated that the moon shed a/its tear because it was sad what Majora had it do to Termina. Interesting thought - would make the moon a victim to Majora's evilness as well and would give it more/a personality.
(Of course the guide is non-canon, but still.)
My main concern would be about the moon disappearing after completing the main story. It vanishes after you beat Majora.
it just returns ack to its normal spot in the sky
Hey szg! Love watching your videos! ❤️❤️
Thank you glad you enjoy them! 🥰
I never thought that face on the mayors chair was the moon. Of course I was very young when I last played Majora's mask on the N64, (never really played it on the 3ds despite buying it)
i can understand if some people dont but i feel it looks to much like the moon not to mention it as its possible true face. still a very creepy looking thing lol
I always wondered whats the thing on the mayor’s chair. Never thought it might be the uncorrupted moon. Anyways great video!
Thank you very much
i always thought the moon was a deity of termina the same way the dragons and leviathans are in hyrule, as for the inside of the moon i think thats more inside the mind of either the moon or the spirit that inhabits the mask which would be sad if true as the child with the majoras mask is sitting alone almost scared whilst the others play around the tree
I like this idea i can see it. If the moon was some king of deity watching over Termina it really would show how strong Majora's magic is if it can control a deity
