- Usually when the game designers of the Pokémon TCG print very powerful abilities they try to make sure that they’re somewhat balanced by including drawbacks in order to use them. Oftentimes this requires the player to discard cards from their hand, deck or field in order to use them. Today we’re going to take a look at some of the best abilities that require you to discard cards to be used.

"Top 10 Worst GX attacks."
The reason Ninetales and Custom Catcher saw play at all was because when the 2019 rotation happened before Worlds there were no better gusting options. Custom Catcher was an absurd 8 bucks a copy and you needed to play 4. Also number 1 should include all of the Trade type abilities we have had over the years.
Putting Delcatty at 9, despite it defining an entire year and several decks in other years of the TCG is insane. No mention of Feraligatr Downpour, Magnetic Field Magneton, or Roast Reveal Ninetales also feels underdone
Delcatty deserved better :(
Considering Feraligatr was one of the best decks at the time, it not being on here is absurd.
some serious recency bias here
@@ZombieInsane09876Rahul Reddy's fault, the script writer
I think Feraligatr isn't here because it's for abilities that REQUIRE discard to activate. All Feraligatr does is discard, with no other effect
At #10 you forgot to mention Inteleon VMAX has started seeing some serious play with post rotation
After seeing the upcoming special Therapy energy, I kinda wanna see the "worst" special energy cards.
Kid named Lost Origin Snorlax
Downpour Feraligatr from Neo Genesis (namely after the first ever Set Rotation the game had to the Team Rocket-Neo Block) is probably the biggest omission here since it was the first ever time when the most dominant deck of a Pokemon TCG format was one built around a Stage 2(closest before that was Rain Dance, who even then still plays runner up to Do the Wave, Haymaker and several Several Stall decks).
Definitely think refinement kirlia is gonna be up there soon!
Baby blacephalon takes the cake for me. I absolutely love that card to this day!
If we are talking a bout a single discard, I liked heat factory as a single trade of fire energy (or energy search/spinner) makes it 1 card profit in terms of card advantages.
But if we can have multiple discards, I would like to say computer search or dowsing machine, discarding 2 cards for any 1 card you want, simply broken
Tbh Refinement kirlia should be on the list
in the colorless type list?
Could you do a vid about your thoughts on the new sets for SV?
Before watching, if #1 isn’t Zoroark GX, I’m rioting
Ok I’m satisfied. This card was so poorly made.
There's one thing i dislike about the Fusion Strike subgroup. I creates a easy Mew VMAX deck but it has a VERY LIMITED ammount of cards to copy attacks from.
When did copies of cards in pokemon go to 3 from 4?
Ditching the magikarp under gyarados would be 120
Always a good day when DexLogs uploads.
Radiant Greninja should be number 1 imo. Legit one of the craziest cards ever printed imo.
Love these series even tho I've never played Pokémon seriously in any capacity.
aint no way inteleon deserves a spot here homie didnt do anything
What?
They just explained why it couldn't do anything mate, because fusion strike power creep nerfed it at the gate, and SV meta electric is another gate keep
You'll see when I take Inteleon VMax, Medicham V and Radiant Alakazam to worlds. Jk lmao
Inteleon VMax was a solid deck pre-rotation because it could utilize Training Court to get the energy back plus it could also use Cheryl to heal everything off.
Pyroar with flare command is just older and better ninetails. Where is his spot on the list
I retired when Zoroark retired, but I was a Volcanion fanboy... Zoroark was my second deck and took the first place till rotation, then I retired from the game. Until Silver Tempest/Lost Origins than I decided to comeback just because of Zoroark.
I play Volcanion until now, i play it with gouging fire 🔥.
Dedenne does not require a discard. Should not be on the list
not even an honorable mention for professor supporters?
That's not an Ability
Jesus Christ loves you
