I was more than a bit worried about the exposed drive belts everywhere as well. A set of simple guards they could have fabricated themselves would save a life.

If I looked at the part first, I would have assumed it was flattened first, then bent into shape with the pieces cut out, all in one go. Aside from that little bit of machining on the lathe, that's what I would have thought happened. The part was moving around a lot. I can only assume it was to allow various cooldowns/reheats between setups to give it more strength maybe?
This is the first video of this kind where one of the workers has had some proper footwear (boots).
It's too hot in there for boots flip flops is a good substitute they've been there forever don't care...

You could easily implement a gyratory jig for the purpose of holding the disk while its being sanded. Sort or let the disk free spin while you position the angle grinder comfortably.

I've watched a lot of these videos of how things are made in other countries and this is the first one where one of the employees is wearing boots. Wonder what kind of Money they make. I've had a lot of shit jobs when I was young so I can feel for these guys.

You have to love all the open toed shoes :) There are like 1 million safety issues with these videos. I bet most of them wind up with lung problems unfortunately. I am no way a safety karen but man, they don't even have the basics....really sad.

The Indian Railways has the second largest rail network in the world.-
Researchers develop a new alloy with improved corrosion resistance for Indian railway tracks.
TOILET discharge into the open from passenger trains is perhaps unique to the Indian railway system. Atmospheric corrosion of rails, particularly in coastal regions which accounts for a significant fraction of the Indian network, is also a serious issue requiring urgent attention.
