Cracks will always appear when steel is cold pressed.
It is better when steel is hot pressed or at least heat treated.🤔
Or you leave it that way so that you're sure that there is always work and income of course....😅

When he is cutting with the torch, he keeps the flame too close to the Material. The torch tip should be at least a 1/4" away from the material being cut . It would give him a cleaner cut infact it should fall out it shouldn't have to be sledge hammered out.

I always wonder about the tolerances. Like is this good machining work or sloppy? I wonder how these guys would react to being in a modern US machine shop.
Something like this doesn't appear to me to be that critical. But I suspect that for many other projects they are actually doing a lot of measurement off camera and using light markings that don't show up on camera such that it looks like they are just eyeballing it.

That looks like thousands of rims that need repair. Obviously a terrible manufacturing process.
With the price of welding helmets extremely cheap these days you would think they would all have one instead of some 20 year old hand held one. Oh and a mig welder as well. Not much quality control there.
