- An engaging conversation between a Christian Pastor and a Muslim Imam, "Out of Context" is a 14 part Interview series answers pressing questions about Islam and gives valuable insight into the spirit of the faith.
In Part 9 of the interview, Shaykh Omar takes questions from the audience. There is certainly an element of bigotry and racism, says Sheikh Omar Suleiman, because you'll find that the same people who are Islamophobic are also anti-Semitic. Within Islam, which is very monolithic, the majority follow the Sunni tradition while the remaining 10 percent belong to many different sects. The sectarianism we see today in countries like Iraq is a product of political turmoil. Before the war, Sunni and Shia intermarried for instance, despite their clear theological differences.

Did you notice how the pastor starts the video even though it is bayyinah's channel? Technically Sheikh Omar is the one who is supposed to make the introduction. The idea (I believe) is that they want their guests to feel welcome. Bayyinah institute is a great representation of Islam mashallah (at least they try as much as they can to show what Islam is really like).
it is because he is the interviewer
+Nauman Khan But sheikh Omar Suleiman could have introduced the pastor and said "he will be asking me questions", when you go on to someone's channel as a guest, the person that is a part of the channel usually does the introductions even if the guest is the one that will be asking the questions. The vibe here feels like Sheikh Omar Suleiman went to the pastor's studio not vice versa. I might be wrong though! :)
+john smith 👍🏻
+Heba G I agree with you there, it totally feels that way yeah.
Wow I didn’t think of that until now. It’s quite remarkable way to welcome people subh’an Allah
Plz continue these great series to show reality of our GREAT DEEN. Jzkl
thanks for correcting me. jazakAllahu khairan!
May Allah bless you both abundantly! =)
Excellent question and excellent answer.
Noticed the camera sounds and crowd cheering when Mohammad Ali comes in animation?
Pls do more of these
may Allah reward all crew of this collection of videos!
How beautifully he answered this question which we so called ''Proud of'' could not solve ...Islam is a way to reach a certain destination which is Allah, and we should respect each way but follow what Muhammad(PBUH) followed,,, Still its a way.. So we should be flexible and have good opinion for others...
I think that criticism of Islam isn’t islamophobia, but hating Muslims and fearing them as a whole is.
Just keep them comin
I don't know if it's been mentioned but did Bayyinah ever explain whats up with those images and drawings?
They might be following a different opinion
For example, as far as i know, the Maliki fiqh makes a distinction between 3D images and 2D images and they permit hand drawn images
where is nouaman khan ?

Is amazing! He's different to all the other ones mashallah
ya harusnya diskusi tuh gini pada adem ademan hati gak saur manuk
What does Omar Suleiman think of the Ahmadiyya ? Does he think they are Muslims?
what does catholic say about protestants?
" 90% of muslims belong to one school and the remaining 10% shias have multiple different schools " ??? That is a very wrong answer !!!
@A Alm sunnis have multiple schools also . Shias are actually more homogeneous than sunnis
@A Alm with respect brother i don't need you to teach me. im not new to this topic. Sunnis range from wahabis to sufis. From ibn arabi to ibn hanbal. From abu hanifa who was the student of shia imams to ibn taymiyah whose followers takfir shias. They are all sunnis. The history of sunni idea of islam was never as homogeneous as the shia part. Have a nice day brother .
