I love your videos, they remind me of all the fun I had learning to sail on Lido 14s, 30' Shields, and then owning my own Nacra 5.8 but that makes me a little sad now that I'm in the middle of the Utah desert. I grew up in Southern California a 15 minute drive from the beach and I would ride my bike there when I was in my teens. It's most relaxing when you point the camera at the bow of the boat and I see the hull slicing through the water. It brings me back 30-40 years.

Brings back memories of sailing the Mediterranean in the early sixties from Barcelona to Istanbul. Would love to see Stromboli lit up at night in your ventures.
Such a beautiful boat, I looks like it was made for it. Sailing is so easy, even in light winds. It appears peaceful, I know it’s a video and you edit the video of course, but it just does it so well. You are really learning how to be one with the boat. Beautiful video, boat and people. Great video that really shows the light wind capabilities of and sail settings in light wind. It's amazing that you can keep the Outremere moving in 4 knots of wind. On the Lagoon you would have switched on the ironspinnaker probably under 5/6 knots. Sailing the 2 Outremers in formation was amazing and you had some great drone shots. I am very intigued by your latest B&G Nemises 12 inch navigation system which was only released at the beginning of this year. On the video it looka huge. I would really appreciate it if you can dedicate one of your videos on how you use the Nemises to navigate and manage your boat as well as all the sensors you can display. How you do your route planning on the nemises would be very interesting and I assune you can also set the autopilot with the Nemises. To illustrate the navigation it would be great to alternate drone shots of Great Circle sailing with screen shots of the Nemises showing detailed sailing and performance data so that you can relate the sailing sequence to actual performance and wind angle. The B&G CZcams videos of the Nemisis system are very commercial and don't tell you much about the system and how it is used. I am sure that you could become a B&G ambassador on your world cruise and show how the system is used to get you around the world safely. Hi Steve, it does require less wind indeed, especially when not exactly abeam when the L52S with his big code 0 performed really well. The BandG plotters are not the Nemesis version but Zeus 3S. In the saloon 1 of them is replicated on an LG monitor

I've noticed an increasing trend in the Med of countries putting in moorings to stop people from anchoring. Or it's to increase the number of boats they can get in a little area, which, depending on your boat stats, may force you away from areas you would otherwise visit.
Apart from Croatia and Calvi we didn’t experience that yet but of course we haven’t been in the Med the last couple of years. In Collioure I kind of understand it as there is very little room and poor holding. We don’t like being on a mooring nor in a marina at all so we hope to be on anchor every night except for the joint Glywo marinas.
Guy's...just curious about the anchor chain how it tracked across the trampoline...was that the only option... or was there an enclosed casing available.. Once again Another great vid.
Yes Gunboat has an option on the same carbon cross with an integrated enclosed chain casing and it is possible to bring that to the Outremer as well (not within our budget though 😇😇😇). To be honest we didn’t like it at first but it works really well like this and we don’t have the banging against the sides that we used to have on the previous boat.

@@MrAxel1234 depends on the conditions we’re anchoring in. In undeep waters with enough scope we don’t even use the anchor alarm. If we’re not sure we use the app and/or the vesper-cortex which has a similar function On Mallorca in over 40 knots the anchor was fine, more danger from other ships adrift.

I seems there is not much under sail, that can keep up with U.
Oh I wouldn’t say that, plenty of faster boats but not a lot that combine it with comfort in every aspect
Great comparison of speeds between the 51 & 55 - does speekend also have the carbon mast?
The ones with an extra diamond in the rigging at the upper part of the mast are alu masts
