    This is the coaches fault. Coaches need to step up and discuss expectations of the parents behavior. If they are not capable of holding up the standard DISMISS THEM!

      Don't be....I'm a white guy, but it isn't your fault.
      I am a basketball coach in a mostly white and asian neighborhood, and I have had parents of both "races" be extremely positive, and I have had the memorable parents (for the wrong reasons) of both as well. I had a player named "Gary," whose mom would yell at the refs the whole game, and when we lose, would yell at me (his coach). Gary is of Chinese ethnicity.

    @BasketBallFanAustin: As a matter of fact, I AM the official in the middle of all that. I am ashamed, but only for the kids and school because of the horrible image these fans have put up. The head coach is to be commended because he forfeited the game voluntarily in disgust at his fans.
    I've been doing high school athletics for 10 years, and frankly, I've never seen anything like this before either.

    And we wonder why? Should have escorted all of them out the door! The total lack of respect of the game and for the individuals that are playing the game. I heard one of the ladies say "they are just kids." I'm pretty sure the level of the language that was being used are that of a kid. I feel terrible for what kind of homes that these children go home to if that is "Normal" behavior.. If I were the School Administer they would have to read about it in the paper because, they would have been gone. There is a fine line between being passionate and totally disrespectful.

    This is a real simple fix, but they need to set some standards. If you don't want parents making jackasses of themselves, then you need rules about how they need to behave. If they don't behave, they leave and are not welcome back. It's that simple. It's embarrassing that parents don't know how to behave.

    interfearing with the basketball game no matter what type of game it is can get you ejected. I have seen so many things from a High school band getting in trouble of playing when they are not suppose to, To Parents getting kicked out or ejected for screaming and yelling mostly games like this cops/security is always present to handle roundy fans but i am shocked that no cop or security escorted the family out. I have also seen parents get arrested for fighting with other players.

    • @slowdownmoveoversharethero9701
      @slowdownmoveoversharethero9701 Před 8 lety

      Think about the high school band that would play at these basketball games to show team spirit. If you play when your not suppose to like during the start of a game or time out as the ball in motorin the game would be delayed

    i know its just a middle school game, but these referees need to learn to how use proper mechanics, when the ball goes out of bounds raise your hand open hand and point the direction the ball will be going too, give the coach an indirect tech for how the fans are acting, the head coach must sit down the rest of the game he lost his prevlige to stand up, see if that dont calm the fans down like quick , in games like that i have a lot of techs in my pocket to hand out!!!

    • @WaterfallWhispering
      @WaterfallWhispering Před 7 lety +1

      joel maldonado after watching it again, yup those refs were pretty bad on the mechanics side of things but in this situation I doubt proper mechanics would have calmed anyone down. but I am also sure if their hand signals were this bad, they may have earned their way into that craziness with horrible or missed calls as well. who knows....could just be another night of middle school bball there. when she got tossed she walked out like it had happend b4 haha.

    number one as a referee of any sport stay away from the crowd when they are out of control, let the director or administrator take care of that, we are not their to control the crowd, now with that said, as a ref, go to the coach of the out of control crowd and tell him if his fans don't calm down he will get a indirect technical foul for how his fans are acting simple, after that start handing out t's a ref!!! problem solved!!
