These are my favorite episodes. I don’t know if you’d ever consider going on a podcast like Jocko’s or Mike Ritland’s. Given the span of your career from the 80s to the 2000s as well as your personality, I think you’d make a phenomenal and fascinating guest. Hope to hear a little more about your backstory someday!
100% 👍
2nd that
Sign me up.
Yes pleas
Jocko podcast are super boring. Mike Ritland, vigilance elite and cleared hot would do him justice
I love it when Coch takes us through weapon development during his time in the service.
Coch's videos are more like a conversation with the viewer than a formal presentation. He is easy to understand and unlike guys on many other channels his experience speaks for itself. Tactical Hyve is the best channel on CZcams for this kind of information.
Excellent, the evolution of optics have come along Way! Back in the 1970s we used pipe clamps to attach flashlights on our rifles!
You're like that super wise middle school football coach that everyone needs...but for adults that love freedom and tactical goodness
AMEN FRIEND.
damn right, reminds me of my old coach rogers. hell of a man
Never could put my finger on that. But u are 100% right god bless him
haha funny you say that he reminds me of a chemistry teacher i had in highschool who was also the weightlifting coach for all the teams for the school. He was one of the guys who really got me and a friend into the modern guns like ars and aks. Hed let us fish at his house whenever we wanted and one day showed us his gun collection in the basement. Was a sweet gun room. Havent seen him in awhile hope hes doin alright.
Love it when Seal Dad geeks out on modifications! You were there during so much progression, and your insight is amazing!
Cheers, Coch! I concur, you need to get on Jocko's Podcast!
Seal Dad, friggin love it!!!😆
Man I remember when I first started watching this channel there wasn't this many comments. So glad to see this channel grow, you guys deserve it.
Thanks, Mike. We really appreciate the support from the start!!!
@@TacticalHyve How about a watch video? Eye spying Coch’s Sangin.
Thanks
Rooftop Korean is dee wey! Rooftop Korean is life!
Coch is outstanding with how he explains everything over his career. Great videos
Keep forgetting that Coch was in Devgru, always a treasure trove of information even if he was in some time ago. Keep up the great informative work!
He was ?
@@mynameisnotbob6369 gold squadron he mentioned in the video, I didn't even know until I saw that
I never caught that, but it makes sense considering he was part of the scar development program. Would have had to be in devgru for that.
These tend to be my favs as well. Hearing the progression thru history of how things were invented, innovated, and implemented is really cool. I bet hearing his stories about their down-time, after a few bears and a few shots, would be just as entertaining.
Always a great video when it’s Coch. Love to hear what his favorite knives were through his career.
What a History lesson from a true Pro~
Great content as always.
I absolutely love stuff like this and coch is my favorite lol. Definitely post more stuff like this.
It's like a fire-side chat with FDR...but with Guns!
Excellent vid...
Love the history of spec ops weapons and gear lessons. Keep em coming Coch!!
Hey Coch, I really appreciate the video on the advances in weapons tech. Thanks for all you guys do and have done. Thanks Tactical Hyve.
I pretty much automatically "like" any video that Coch makes. He's like the definition of "speak softly and carry a big stick"! 👍
Coch is the best
Anybody trying to go next level with carbine should watch this
Love these videos, especially hearing about gear actually used in combat. Video recommendation, it would be awesome to hear about the evolution of slings and sling placement from your point of view what you like and what you didn’t. Keep up the great work!
Very very interesting. Larry Vickers did a similar rundown of the equipment he utilized during his time in Delta.
This man and his SEAL buds are a blessing on America .
Love these informative episodes. Keep up the good work guys!
Always good to listen you Coch, all the best!
So great to see the evolution of your equipment!
The mk12 and mk18 are two of the rifles im in love with at the min i enjoy shooting both of them so much. Thanks for taking us through the histroy of socom /sopmod i would like to see more videos like this
Thanks Coch. You're videos are always interesting and fun.
Coch, you are so much fun to watch! Your videos play like a cool next door neighbor or friend is telling you the cool stuff you always wanted to know! Thank you Coch!
Coch seems like such a cool dude. Thanks for the content!
👍
Great video. Absolutely loved the topic. Wished it were longer and even more in depth!
Great content, Coch! Your videos are something I always looks forward to. Thanks to you guys for blazing the trails so much early on, the same way the Nam guys did prior. Proud heritage that makes me proud to have such Americans at our nations’ call.
We certainly are spoiled nowadays, but I sure wish civilian IR lasers didn’t have power limitations on them!
Thank you for your service, love this channel, very informative and enjoyable
Well said friend AMEN.
Always happy to see another video from Coch
Great info. Really enjoy seeing all the changes and hearing your experience that goes along with them.
Thank You for your service Coch......and for this service as well......good to see somebody doing this sort of info-training....OnWard.....
Thank you for your service and for sharing your experience and knowledge. Much appreciated.
Damn, that really informative and a great little run through the history of the evolution of the platform and accessories. Thanks a lot man and definitely more of this content.
Totally spotted Shipley in there. Around 6:30. Crazy ! Coch needs leave get outta CA so he can (literally) bring out the big guns! Politics aside! Shit boutta be underwater. AZ is prime real estate so we’ll take ya!
Thanks for the history and explanation. Love listening to Coch.
1st comment! Another great video from TH and Coch. wow didn't know Coch was formerly in DEVGRU. He's amazingly so humble about his accomplishments and feats. We're so lucky to have Coch sharing his experiences and knowledge with us normies.
I was getting the original lights and the barrel mount from Mikey, my friend and a Unit Armor in 1994. I remember getting some goofy Delta hand-me-downs prior to SOPMOD. Great video Couch.
Good job going over all these sights and lights Coch!
I would really like more of these videos on evolution of other gear as well. Uniforms, rucks, sleeping bags, you name it. Tips and hacks for just life in different environments and on missions. All of it interests me and especially a DEVGRU dude has lots to share. Thanks Coch.
Awesome video Sir, Thankyou for your service!
Thank you for your service. Thank you for all your content. I truly appreciate what you are doing with all the information and education. God bless! Be safe! 🤙🙏🇺🇲
I've seen this man in a few videos and love the way he explains and breaks things down. Just also realized that he was in DEVGRU...
I learned a lot. Thank you, it was worth my time to watch this.
Thank you for your service Coch. Hats off to all military, former and active. 🇱🇷
What a great channel! I’m glad I ran into this.
👍
Very interesting to see the progression of the different tools and the thought process behind the changes.
Awesome info taking us through this progression.
Love seeing the tech as it evolved thanks for sharing.
An extra aspect of why these videos with Coch appeal to me is because we are the same age and this is a bit like visiting what life may have been like had I taken the same career path. Probably my favorite episode yet is still the one covering Coch's career Pt 1: The '80s. I was in NJROTC in high school sophomore year '81/'82 and that's where I first learned of the SEAL teams. I was still determined to go Army SF at the time though. Well neither one happened, lol.
Love seeing the progression
Love your style very informative and at a great pace! TY for your content
Thank you for this history lesson. Very cool!
I still have the upper but early 90"s had the carry handle with a red dot but was mounted so I could use open sight with red dot. Still to this day my favorite upper. Filled the freezer many times. Thanks for sharing.
Nice to hear from someone who was there........thanks for your service. My main rifle is a DDM4 with a Geissele rail. I guess it would be considered a 'block 3" type of weapon but I'm a civilian so no fun switch......after 4000 rds. or so I have fallen in love with the accuracy and weight/balance of the gun. I'm an AK guy also but I totally get why our professionals like yourself prefer a beefed up M4 to the Kalsh pattern for --most-- things. Ultra accurate and 100% reliable with minimal cleaning even when I run a can as long as I wipe the bolt down and pull a bore snake down the barrel every 600-800 rounds or so I'm good. It takes less than 2 minutes and the gun is back up.....I guess that's why the AR pattern has had such staying power, when properly built and cared for it just runs great......
Love the historical perspective and some insight into the what’s how’s and why’s of the evolution of gear. I wasn’t military, but I did do 32 years in the fire dept. in CA. We considered ourselves pretty progressive in terms of gear, SOGs, etc. But, looking back over the span of a 20-30 year career in any job where gear is such an important part it’s amazing to reflect on how primitive some of the early stuff seems nowadays. Good stuff. 👍
Love these types of videos bros
Good presentation. Very informative and entertaining. Thank you.
Always enjoy listening to Coch!!!
Great video! I subscribed to this channel to learn and you do an excellent job of teaching 👏 👍
Great review of the evolution of optics!
I LOVE these gear vids. Thanks
This is fantastic information. Great video!
An awesome trip showing how it all developed!
Litraly just stumbled onto your channel.
Love it, can't stop watching, really interesting.
Awesome video! Cool going through the timeline
I do like this- kind of thing! And especially, how things have progressed during your time in the Teams!
Thanks for sharing!
Keep it up Coch. Love the vids brother!
Personally, I admire all of them 😁 I’m a retro rifle guy at heart. I just love the simple Iron sights and steel.
Great review and history lesson. It helps to know the reason why. Thanks!!!
Hey Coch, great vid and congrats on the growth of the channel! Could you perhaps do a video or comment on the evolution of hearing protection and your experience with them throughout your professional career? I can imagine those Mk18s were terrible with naked ears, especially indoors
I always enjoy your videos Coch.
Thank you. I love your videos!
Coch, you're an awesome dude! I was just a grunt that got to work with cool people and you remind me so much of a super BA Master Sarnt I knew from 3434. Cheers brother
Outstanding video sir!
Great stuff as always, THX
First time watching first of all thank you for your service and the great video …🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thank you for these informative videos. I'm a nerd and love'm.
Awesome information from a true pro.
I love this. Beautiful weapons.
Great video, I enjoyed the history of the rifle. 👍
man I miss those old days, doing sf qualification with the heavy & stubborn H&K G3... not all NATO allies had the top notch stuff. These days are way different🤘😉
Adding lights to rifles or handguns was a real gamechanger. I felt like a jedi in star wars🤪🙃🤪🙃
your old school vids are FANTASTIC & OUTSTANDING & FUNNY.... Can't wait to see more, so please keep it up & coming....
Nice! Interesting to learn the evolution of these guns. There's a sim called Ground Branch that has a lot of these.
Great vid as always.
Its cool seeing the old-school gear.
Great video!! super interesting!
Cool video, thanks man.
AWESOME!! THANKS💪🔥
So cool to see gbrs group in those throwback seal photos
