    Great video. This is the easiest to follow, and the most complete that I've seen.

    Great video. This is by far the simplest way to flash the Sonoff basic.

    This was an excellent video, Roberto! Especially for a new to Sonoff/Tasmoto person like me.

    Roberto, o melhor tutorial para flashear. Great, thanks. I didn't have to install the Arduino IDE as I did for my older Sonoff!! Great, thumbs up!

    To everyone that had a failed flash. The "FTDI" adapter recommended here is not good. There are many fake FTDI chips in the market and the adapter doesn't have a voltage regulator. Please use the one recommended by Tasmota in tasmota.github.io/docs/Getting-Started/

    Been watching your videos for a long time here from Brazil, specially TV Boxes. Don't know if it's temporary or not, but I've noticed you stopped using B-Roll. If it's a change in style, let me say it was a nice change. Even TV news stations are stopping using it.

    Thanks, how do I switch off the sonoff bridge without powering down? It is working as an alarm that cannot be put off which is a pain, when I am home or has to keep going off because I am there, unplugging the unit doesn't sound right, what should I do

    Question: I just flashed my Treatlife spst light switch using ESPhome within Home Assistant. The problem after getting this flashed and showing up on my wifi lan I realized I didn't know what the pin usage is for the relay inside the device. Without this information, I can not configure the ESPhome wizard-generated YAML. Can you help?

    Hello Roberto.
    I used your instructions and I flashed more than 20pcs of Sonoff wall switches (TX T1EU & T2EU two gang model) with Tasmota 12.0.1. Lately I had the following problem.
    In some units the second touch pad was working perfectly but the first touch pads is not responding although when I a pressing the touch pad sensor this is recognized with a beep sound.
    Please note that I used the same setup with the switches that don't have a problem.
    All problematic units (totally 3) are working properly when they are controlled through Wi-Fi by TASMOTROL Dashboard installed on my mobile.
    Any suggestion?

    Any advice please ?

  • @franktechniek
    @franktechniek Před 3 lety

    I tried this, flashed ok, but no wifi from the sonoff. Then I tried Tasmotizer, which seems even easier. Just one program (tasmotizer) to download, flash with tasmota.bin and that's it.

  • @bennguyen1313

    I don't have the AZDelivery FTDI (FT232RL) Serial Adapter, but my computer has a COM port.. should I use ESPEasy's Flasher or Tasmotizer to flash the Tasmota.bin programming file?
    How can you control the SonOff programmatically thru the internet?

    • @andrewgray200
      @andrewgray200 Před 4 lety +1

      Once you remove it from the cloud use something like HomeAssistant to create a connection then from there you can use HASSIO Cloud or create a hole on your firewall to access HomeAssistant to toggle the device or see if you left a light on. Leaving it on cloud has pro's and cons. This way if WeLink or someone changes their policy about cloud it doesn't impact your home. Just look at Tuya and IFTTT last month in changing thier policy and breaking alot of peoples automations.

    • @andrewgray200
      @andrewgray200 Před 4 lety

      There is an OTA (Over The Air) Tasmoda you can look into as well. But you really need the adapter I won't try with a standard serial port on a PC.

    Hi all
    Oh gosh.
    What can i say ... I watch many videos on how to flash Tasmota.
    NONE, absolutly NONE of the video on the web are saying that first step after flashing is to connect to the new temporary Tasmota WIfi network that will show in your Wifi network list in order to set the SSID and password.
    Then and only then your newly flashed Tasmota device will show on your network.

    Nice tutorial, but man, 7 euro for cheap ass usb-ttl? The SAME thing costs below 1 dollar on aliexpress. And its 100% legit. Btw, sonoff costs around 4-5 bucks.
