The Crux of the Matter regarding Bougainville Issue is the Bougainville Copper Mine . The Land owners were not fully compensated for their resources . After the War ,the BRAs proceeded to Independence . This is two different Matters . PNG Government should not compromise and give Bougainville Independence . By doing so ,other Provinces will seek for their Independence also . The New Guinea Islands have already stated including the East Sepik Province recently . What God has put let no man break it . Bougainville should have become part of Solomon Islands but God knew Bougainvilles future and made Bougainville as Papua New Guinea .

The root cause is about disparity, corporate greed, selfishness, unfair distribution of BCL equity benefits which State continue to collude and conspire with Developers to deny, decieve and cause injustice to Land Owners throughout the country depriving maximum benefits. The Country’s failure to address such issues lead to civil war on Bougainville. Bougainville is an integral part of PNG and if am PM, I will never entertain Independence, but have special funding support to compensate loss of lives, rebuild Bougainville and negotiate to reopen BCL for 50% mutual benefits.
