Your girlfriend just finished her stream and she comes out looking a little, off. When checking in with her, it's revealed there are a few things on her mind. And not all of them are happy thoughts, as some of the comments have been getting to her.

ONCE AGAIN! I am not affected by these type of comments or ideas nor is this meant to represent my views of the asmr community. However it is a truth that does happen to some people.
Either way, I hope you are having a wonderful day and that you enjoyed todays audio drama. I enjoyed making it and it was a lot of fun trying to come up with a story. I want to thank you if you are reading this, I really do appreciate it.

These people are always so dumb, huh? Even on channels where everyone has the same name or when a specific character is obviously named after the VA… that’s still what they are. Characters. Same with Listener-San. Treating the person behind the mic this way would be no different than going after your waifu’s VA. Seeing ourselves in Listener-San is no different than seeing ourselves in a Visual Novel protagonist, regardless of how much or little characterization they get.
The fact that we can talk to Lapis is a blessing that she can revoke at any time, so please don’t make this audio retroactively based on her own experiences. It’d be a *massive* shame if the teacher had to cancel recess because a few kids showed that the class couldn’t be trusted with minimal supervision.
I agree at the end of the day these are all characters and none of this matters sure we have a character that is very generic that makes it easy to slot in, but it’s still just a character and not real, but you know what’s real? The people behind the voice and those feeling as there are even if there playing a Eldridge horror or not there still human doing something they hopefully enjoy as a hobby or entertainment or as there job and if they can leave (or even outside of that they can leave for any reason) and then there is no audio for anyone

To this day it's always bothered me that people create NFSW material of content creators/vtubers/asmrists, because, bro, THAT IS A REAL F**KIN PERSON BEHIND THAT AVATAR. Very few people on this site or beyond are actually ok with things like that and even that by no means excuses such gross behavior in general.
It is truly sad that some person really seem to lack basic decency towards people on the internet, and it's important that videos like this one bring more attention to this topic. You bring up a good point that it's important to focus on one's mental health, and to seek the support from other who cares. Sometimes you also need to take from things that are causing you stress, even if you enjoy doing them.

The ASMR scene has mostly been a rather positive minded little corner on CZcams. Emphasis on mostly. When you do run into the rotten side then it’s extremely toxic. Seen that side up close and it wasn’t pretty.
And there’s the parasocial aspect, but let’s not open that can of worms.
Anyway, long story short. Things suck. People suck at times. Venting is healthy though.

I do love the addressing of the NSFW which DOES kinda ruin the stories and is all around. I'm not gonna lie, sometimes it is annoying when you're looking for wholesome awesome stories and it all ends up with this. Kinda like how visual novels are ruined and all characters in it as soon as it goes NSFW. Yet all of them writers and teams who aren't going there yet are urged toward it. Do people not understand or do they not want to understand that this ruins values of friendships and relationships and grinds everything and everyone down to one-track minded sex-zombies if they let it happen, causing them to actively hurt feelings and cross boundaries. A little respect won't cut it imo. Other ppl and their feelings are a big deal, as big as your own in fact. And its not all about what people want, it is important to keep in mind what people need, and what is good for them. And this has gone way too far, way too long. I for one am looking for something real, and that only happens where morals and values are still straight. Good stories with good values and touching strives become real and reach hearts, whether they are fake or not. But if good tone is constantly being disregarded for lust and whims, it just gets depressing, that is both my opinion and experience on the matter. And many artist do it and say they having oh so much fun with it, yet constantly suffer from psychological issues. Well duh, guess why! Getting really angery just thinking about it.
