Yes finally 🎉 But i think they got rid of the Photo commissions, Dolphin Training and the Aquarium which you could use in the Wii Version. I will get it anyway.
Playing Endless Oceas as a kid encouraged me to get my diver certification in real life. It allowed me to experience some AMAZING things, and I'm so grateful to these games
Thanks for covering these details! I knew a lot of these already, but you managed to dig up a bunch of shiny new facts that I had NO clue about! I’m all that more excited to play this now!
Woah was there an Overview Trailer recently?! I feel like 80% of the facts you shared were completely new to me. Epic vid, and I’m hype for my first time with an Endless Ocean game
Great video and information that I was not aware of. This wasn't on my radar but looks like it could be fun to play a couple times a week and relax, plus my special needs son who is 3yrs old likes watching fish videos on CZcams so he might enjoy watching me play this - also looks simple enough that maybe he could help me control the guy some.
Story mode's confirmed, yeah. It seems like we'll be swimming in one area again like game one. Also, just looking at how our diver's entire body is obscured by the goggles and helmet, I suspect we won't be spending significant amounts of time on shore (since it seems like none of the customization focuses on what we the person in the divesuit look like.) We'll have to see how in-depth the story mode itself is... but hey, less than a week to find out!
I'm very pleased to hear that there is a singleplayer story, and pleased to see that there is a way to revisit previously generated maps so that not _every_ dive is different and you can have favorite areas. I'm really not fussed over the graphics. It's not as big of a graphical leap over Endless Ocean 2 as I imagined an Endless Ocean 3 would be but it's a decent improvement and graphics aren't what I loved about the Endless Ocean series in the first place. My only real concern is that some of the swimming movement is a little rough - jerkily strafing up and around, stopping instantaneously instead of stopping slowly and drifting slightly. Very excited for this game. I waited 15 years for this day. Cynical doubters told me to give up, that there's no way Arika would bring back this series, they don't care about those old Wii games enough, bla bla bla. I screamed into my pillow during the Nintendo Direct when I first saw a scuba diver.
So the ESRB rating ONLY mentions references to wine and alcoholic beverages in the context of salvaging, no signs of violence like they flagged for Blue World with the animal attacks. We also see a shark that's CLEARLY either Thanatos, Magu Tapa, or a new shark in the same vein as them swimming non-hostilely around the coral reef in a couple different trailers with divers clearly close by. All together, I think we're safe this time around. If it is Thanatos he has acquired chill.
right now there is only one question topic in my mind... well two actually The first has to do with.. whether or not we will need to upgrade our suits and gear to explore locations.. or if everything is visitable at the start of the game.. and how much time do you have to play... or do you not need to worry about oxygen this time? being able to just Swim and play for as long as I want is VERY appealing... particularly with the randomized map set up... Like imagine finding a sunken ship... starting to explore it.. and then running out of time and loosing all that progress... The second has to do with the fact that the way it was phrased.. digital was just an option. Is there a physical version? and if so how much memory will that need?
Physical copies definitely seem to exist, since you can order them on Nintendo's website. No clue about the size. I'd ASSUME it's all on cartridge except whatever bug patches they do, but who even knows these days. I've assumed there's going to be an oxygen meter just because it would mean surfacing to change up the map every so often, but we have seen very little of the game's UI. Likewise, we have no clue about what if any upgrades there are that aren't aesthetic. But as annoying as an oxygen meter is, it's probably necessary for a game with randomization as a factor to periodically force a reset of some sort so it can refresh its memory. (For example, the blood moons in Zelda are an in-story justification for the fact that the game needs to reset its state every so often to keep running smoothly. Annoying if you're doing something right as/before one hits, but it's worlds better than the game getting laggy or crashing because of memory issues.) My guess is that there MIGHT be slower oxygen loss over time as we increase our dive rank (or whatever the skill is called here that allows us to swim with the animals,) but that there won't be the "you lose oxygen faster in X environment until you beat story section Y" situation we had in the second game, based off nothing concrete. I think the primary limiting factor in unlocking things is that we won't be able to access every biome every dive - that if you get a shallow coral reef setup, you're probably not going to be able to go into glacial waters or the deep sea in that same dive. I also suspect that the story mode is going to introduce at least BIOMES in a set order (so you'll get shallow coral reef, and then icy waters, and then ruins, or whatever the order is, and it's the same every time,) and possibly fully pre-designed maps. I have absolutely no evidence there because we don't know anything about the story mode beyond "it exists, it's solo player, and it focuses on 'saving the World Coral'," but that's what I'd assume is the case based off there BEING a story mode separate from solo dives.
I'm looking forward to playing this but I wonder if they removed the river biome. I'm sick of Nintendo releasing games with less content than their predecessor. It keeps happening with Switch games like Switch Sports and Mario Football
We've seen some areas with a more greenish tint to them and what I think were arapaima (in at least the first trailer) that make me think that there's at least SOME kind of freshwater biome, presumably with whatever handwaving gets us glacial and coral reef dives in the same region yet again. But we haven't had it confirmed as yet. At the very least, if they DID cut the freshwater biome they replaced it with something like 150 more fish than existed in the second game TOTAL, which would suggest a deeper dive into the saltwater biomes they include. (I just looked at the wiki to confirm - 2 had 352 encyclopedia entries, 26 of them legendaries, 340 if you only count each unique creature and exclude the young/mature and male/female variants for certain species.) So over 500 is good!
Yeah, that's my big question with the customization - do we get to choose frame, or is our featureless diver gender-neutral (using a traditionally "male" rig)? Guess we're going to have to see for sure, because honestly it's not a close enough look for me to tell one way or another.
This game makes no sense to come out now why you don't have the hardware? This seems like it needs PS5 or Xbox series x type of hardware to look beautiful
After several hours of gameplay, I have to say that I'm a little disappointed. There are a lot of missions and options missing from Endless Ocean, a lot has been left out. I think that's a shame, the story is also progressing very slowly for me. You now have a huge sea and no longer have several areas like fresh or salt water, in this game everything is somehow in one sea. The fact that you have photo assignments or collecting orders to earn money is also missing here. I haven't spent any of the money on this game yet, I just don't need it because you can only choose different colors for your gear (not even different styles). The colors are all too bright for me. Exploring is fun, but even if you see a special fish now, it no longer stands out as much. I still remember in Endless Ocean 2, for example, how the giant shark was presented... here in this game it just swims around randomly. Interesting locations such as the Crystal Cave are also missing here. There is a big ruin or the same sunken ships and that's it. The side missions are always the same (swim to the orange area and find a specific fish there). No own reef or the possibility of equipping an aquarium like in the second part. I have now fully explored 5 free maps and can now continue with the story. Hopefully it will be a little more versatile💪🏻 but it's very good for chilling and switching off.
I WAITED 15 YEARS 😮
Theres no wii speak!
Same! People always gave me shit when I said my favorite game was just scuba diving and discovering fish.
Yes finally 🎉
But i think they got rid of the Photo commissions, Dolphin Training and the Aquarium which you could use in the Wii Version. I will get it anyway.
What year was Everblue 2 released on PS2? That’s how long I’ve been waiting for another Arika diving game (without motion controls)
Playing Endless Oceas as a kid encouraged me to get my diver certification in real life. It allowed me to experience some AMAZING things, and I'm so grateful to these games
ENDLESS OCEAN THE GOAT!!!!!!!!
There are *no goats* in the ocean. Go to school.
The facts you dropped actually got me interested in the game, might have to pick it up
Same, it also looks really cool
This seems like a great game to settle down the day with.
it looks like a no stress game, but what about sharks and other dangers ??
Thanks for covering these details! I knew a lot of these already, but you managed to dig up a bunch of shiny new facts that I had NO clue about! I’m all that more excited to play this now!
Woah was there an Overview Trailer recently?! I feel like 80% of the facts you shared were completely new to me. Epic vid, and I’m hype for my first time with an Endless Ocean game
Didn’t know much about this series before so this was genuinely helpful! I might pick this up eventually, looks like a great relaxing time.
I like how the game is $49.99
Seems like a fair deal for once.
I wonder if they’ll add in mermaids this time around
My inner six-year-old seven-year-old self is so happy right now you don’t know how much
I always love these fun fact videos! Honestly, I wasn't really interested in this game, but now I'm definitely more excited about it!
Endless Ocean was my first Wii game. Spent between 90 and 100 hours on it from just exploring
TheBitBlock, This is awesome! I subscribed because I want to see more!
I’m fortunate to have an OLED monitor, and I’m so excited to swim in the deep dark depths!
Im soo hyped about this game. I played hours on the wii version
I am looking for some kind of zen game. I have tried with No Man Sky, didn’t work for me.Last zen moments I had in Botw

But can I pet the sharks? 🤔
I’m looking forward to playing this game. And I hope you make some video journals. 😊

Scuba Squad!

I had zero interest in this game, but you kind of hyped me up. :D
6:00 I'm more curious as to why there's a zebra emoji in this game lmao.
Maybe a ref. to Zebra Turkey fish? lol I have no clue beyond that.
Great video
I’m way too excited for this
Does this game have a storyline like the previous endless ocean games?
It does have a story for 1 player, but I am not sure if it is as detailed as the first 2 games.

In solo mode: does your private island, private reef, and private aquarium still exist? Also diver customization is way less than it was in Wii :(
What the f what the f let’s go, bro !!! Finally finally finally welcome endless ocean 3 aka Endless Ocean Luminous
So much to it or so it seems. But older first 2 had all this + tons more. 😊
Can anyone tell me if this game’s story is going to be sort of a sequel to the previous games’ story?
I don’t understand what I’m supposed to do in this game? What are the treasures and mystery for? What about the Inca disk on the bottom?
I love this game
OK, so you know those yellow spots on the map? How do you complete those? Is there a way up? Down? Because around dosnt do it! 😩
Diving in shallow waters, yes !!!
As someone who’s played subnautica, i will never be relaxed playing this game
Looks cool. Can't wait until available on emulation.
Wait are those land locations at 7:20?
I’m wondering if you still get attack by sharks because this shit used to stressed me out soooo much as a child 😢

5:30 !❤
I want to hunt down rare and unusual creatures, then sell them to a Chinese restaurant.
Subnautica would like a word.
Well Subnautica launched in 2014, and Endless Ocean came out in 2007. So technically Endless Ocean would like a word with Subnautica.
I'm looking forward to playing this but I wonder if they removed the river biome. I'm sick of Nintendo releasing games with less content than their predecessor. It keeps happening with Switch games like Switch Sports and Mario Football

Am I going crazy, or does it look like there's no female diver models in this entry? 🤔
Yeah, that's my big question with the customization - do we get to choose frame, or is our featureless diver gender-neutral (using a traditionally "male" rig)? Guess we're going to have to see for sure, because honestly it's not a close enough look for me to tell one way or another.
