They number these because they know if the movie figures are part of the Classified line they'll sell more of them. I only got these because I wanted to collect the entire line.
They don't need to show pictures of the figure on the package as long as you can the the figure in the package. They should move from one big picture on the back to showing off some of that nice character art they love to use on the sides and show that off as a cross sell like the vintage packaging.
Really liked the Blue Ninjas but didn't feel like paying that price. Repainting Akiko is going to have to do.

Is her crossbow the same as Beachhead’s but black? If so I can swap those horrible lime green weapons out for this crossbow and give Scarlett a nice rifle. And does anyone know if taking the neck along with the head is a pain in the butt or not to switch it out with the Classified Redeco Scarlett?

The figures are the only good thing to come out of the movie...although I think the Scarlett figure body makes for a better Baroness than the actual Baroness figure

Still haven’t seen these 2 in the wild. But my stores are stocked full of the other 3 movie figures Flint Lady Jaye and cobra commanders.

I saw Scarlett and Akiko buy only picked up Akiko because I have a jacket black leather with white stripes on the sleeves United States of America flag on the back with red stripes on the sleeves they reminds me of Akiko costume. I hid Scarlett 😂 and will be back soon to get her since tomorrow is payday
I admit that I also haven't seen the movie and I might have been influenced by early hype against these figures. However, as I started to collect Classified, I returned to these Snake Eyes Origins rejects; especially because their prices were slashed in half. I have to say, the hate isn't all that justified. Who cares if the movie sucked or not. The figures are, for the most part, great figures. Although, in some instances, they are *NOT* good representations of the characters from a retro-standpoint. *:cough:* Storm Shadow *:cough:*. There is hypocrisy all over the place in regards to these reviled figures. For example, Akiko gets harshly judged and rejected, yet the female BLUE Ninja from the Classified line gets high praise.....despite it being a 95% repaint of Akiko. New head and new feet, otherwise the same. Also, people giving relative high praise to the new Kamakura character because of all his accessories....despite those accessories largely being from Akiko and Storm Shadow (Snake Eyes Origins Ver.) In terms of articulation, I find Akiko to be very pleasing. Easy to pose, not too loose and not too stiff. Both Classified Baronesses that I have gotten were very difficult in contrast. They are the same base model figure. The Snake Eyes Origins Baroness, on the other hand, is an extremely difficult character to pose on top of being far too skinny in her extremities.
Scarlet is absolutely perfect. I prefer her over the reco-Scarlet. The Snake Eyes Origins version looks older. Certainly more believable that she's an E-6 Staff-Sergeant in the Army and a highly trained Martial Artist. I bought her on the cheap, largely to get her crossbow. I love it. I hate the standard classified version. It's in two pieces and keeps falling apart. :( Beachhead's ugly green crossbow is an eye-sore.
I also think the actual Snake Eyes figure from the Origins version is a decent Snake Eyes. He looks very ninja-assassin-esk and has more details that he has a right to have. The Storm Shadow, on the other hand...is a most HORRENDOUS Storm Shadow. That strange off-white color is wasted and he just doesn't have any remote features that are icon to the character. HOWEVER.....as a basic ninja...he kicks ass. As cheap as he is...he's a good army builder. Have a squad of off-white ninja for the actual Classified Storm Shadow to command! I did. I got two to act as Storm Shadow's personal guard.
All in all, these figures aren't as bad as the hype.

You have to swap the necks as well. The peg holes are completely different sizes.

Oddly didn't mind that Snake Eyes movie. Liked how the reception of Storm Shadow is similar to that of Loki of the MCU imo.
Either way give it a shot if you've got the time and investment.
Ooh boy, now I'm having a hard time thinking whether i should get this Scarlett, the head and bow are the ok things for me, for some reason I'm not a fan of that outfit.
Got the first release one which isn't bad really, the hair color could had been better though the face is alright for me.
So unless i buy this new Scarlett to kitbash the head with the 1st release Scarlett body, i guess that sounds alright yet another part of me would be like "really man? You just buy this figure for the head and bow only?" Still debating on that.
Long game
The redeco is superior to the original release in my book but i did not dislike the original. Just prefer the Redeco which is far closer to her original look.
I dont think Jinx makes sense as she was a character whom came much later in the gi joe material.
Having her be part of a snake eyes origin film would have been basically just placing or should i say misplacing a well-known character for name sake and woukd have been an injustive to the story of her character as well as kind of a slap in the face to snake eyes.
As far as snake eyes goes, eventually he was revealed to be a white American however early on Hama left his identity a mystery on purpose so any child could envision themself behind the mask. His file cards always said his name was classified, his place of birth was classified. His 1985 File card referenced him serving in Long Range Recon Patrols in South East Asia.
Hama has indicated Hasbro was the one whom pressured him being revealed as a white American and the comics revealed as much saying he was an American whom served
in Vietnam and became a Gaijin or foreigner whom trained as a ninja after that time.
Hama also said he should have been asian from the beginning.
I have no issue when it comes to storytelling in film including characters we may never have heard of when it comes to an origin story though especially one as mysterious and untraveled as snake eyes and his origin.
These characters had lives, families, friendships alliances and enemies before joining gi joe or cobra so it makes sense that there would be individuals important to them or heavily involved in their past that have nothing to do with the character during their days with gi joe.
It be like Lucas saying “oh when i write my Star Wars prequels i have this awesome idea for this Jedi named mace windu and this Mandalorian mercenary/assassin for hire named Jango who is Boba’s father. Ahh but i better not put them in the story as they are not know and have nothing to do with the films/stories already released. Guess Yoda is going to be the only jedi master we see.” Or once they are included sayiny “but dont make figures of then as no one knows who they are.
The reason you cant find scarlet is she is a known character of joe lore, people didn’t like her classified versions(s) (i loved them especially her redeco) and there is only one Scarlett per case and we can bet they probably aren’t getting more than one or two cases per store depending upon location/consumer interest in the line.
As far as Scarlett goes she is a good looking fig. I wonder of her head can be swapped to the Redeco classified version? Would look pretty good me thinks. Also where are her extra crossbow bolts? She only has one shot? Maybe she only needs one? Too bad that holster doesn’t have a removable/equipabke pistol.
I did not read all this but they totally changed snake eyes race and story for the movie so adding Jinx to me is not a big deal at all and would bring joe fans into the movie more as she is a fan favorite

You’ll be wasting your time for sure if you watch the Snake Eyes film.
I wouldn't mind them making some figures from the other two live action GI Joe films. A Dwayne The Rock Johnson Roadblock figure would be awesome.
