Great review and yes I was blown away by how good the articulation is on the wolf but for me I really wanted this set for the version 1 Snake-Eyes as this was the first figure I ever bought as a kid, this brought back a lot of nostalgia for sure. What Hasbro should do if they cared is release waves of 4 and in each wave include:
1. An Original joe like they did with Breaker (I may be the only person that actually likes the Breaker figure a lot with the hopes they will release the original 13 joes)
2. A vehicle driver (I don’t see Hasbro eating money and time on any big vehicles)
3. A figure that wasn’t mainstream or someone different like Oktober Guard, Cobra-La, Kwinn, Dr. Venom, Billy Kessler
4. A fan favorite figure, one that they know everyone is anticipating
5. Include a build a figure part for a bigger character like Big Bear, Serpentor, Road Pig, Big Boa)
My main concern is that an ex employee from Hasbro said that this line will not continue past summer of next year, with how bad the movie flopped and the fact that Hasbro doesn’t seem to care about this line, if they did they would have given us the original Storm Shadow and not the dirty milk water version, but at least they are making up for it with this Snake-Eyes and Heavy Artillery Roadblock
Arethyr Balius (the horse figure from Mythic Legions,) is competing with Timber as the best animal figure, though Timber has more articulation.
Your take on Flint was funny. For those who don’t know the JOEs have scars on their faces to pay homage and to shout out the original 1:6 G I jOE which had a scar on his left cheek. The scar and the inverted left thumb are Hasbro trademarks to the JOE brand.
I preordered mine from Gamestop as it had a cheaper price. Its estimated to hit August 30th.
I cant wait as I too favor commando over ninja Snake Eyes. I plan to give him the first wave release snake eyes back pack with sword and sheath.

Commando will wield his uzi and possibly one of the other machine guns while his other machine gun will go to Breaker as i don’t like him wielding the gatling gun.
I simply love Timber. I surprised they didn’t go full-on classified version with him and give him like a modern military service dog plate armor harness with some spots to carry snake eyes’s extra weapons. Not saying I would have favored that but depending on how it was done I would not have been against it probably as the classified line is about bridging the classic look with a modern present and current interpretation and generation aspects.

I can't wait to get Timber, we usually get most stuff later here in the UK. Give me more Joes or Cobras with pets. Heard rumours there may be a Croc Master with crocodile, that will be amazing if true.

I got my timber with the snake eyes accessory and the snake eyes was in bad shape but boy oh boy that timber with the angry face is just awesome. I agree with you on the numbers on the box no matter what the line is. It shouldn't be with the main line. It should be considered a subline with either no number or a letter.
Dude the interchangeable dog head is next level to me, so cool 🤘

The Timber figure IS the only reason to pick up this set, as we already have many, many Snake Eyes figures, already.
In fact, if I had the money, I would actually army build a wolf pack. :)

Hasbro pulse exclusive D&D Drizzts' Do Urden ( Drow Elf , Ranger) came with Guenhwyvar his Black Panther pet that was highly articulated as well mite give Timber a run for his money but only a mite
The panther was great but the articulation was inferior to Timber. Timber is proof that Hasbro occasionally learns from their mistakes.
Awesome review, commando Snake Eyes is my favorite version and the one I wanted to start with and I like the bulkier Beach Head body mold, don’t like that white star logo on the grenade it stands out, still waiting on BBTS to ship mine.
I ordered a scorpion Statue from BIGBADTOYS since a year ago. And I still don’t have it. Why does it take so long????
