    Just a tip brotha, the bass in the background music makes it difficult for people to actually listen to what you say. I understand you put it there so the video is more stimulating but try not to mix frequencies as it causes confusion in our lizard brains, God bless, great video, keep up the great work.

      Agreed the tinny/hissy background music made it hard to watch all the way through. Use music without words (or what sounds like words)... I did make it to the end though, thanks for sharing.

    I appreciate how you broke down your journey for success. We on the outside see you (SEALs) as 100% hardcore crazy non-stop never quit. When it reality you aren’t being that way all the time. You are just being resilient and disciplined one second at a time

    After being shot at as a kid, and having to resort to defend our home with my dads riffle while he was abroad and 3-4 intruders trying to get in while I fired blind shot through the doors I found out that no matter what, just get up and get moving - even when you're sick, or any other state. Either you get up, or you die trying 🙂

    Those of you complaining that the music is too loud, take this as an opportunity to improve your focus.
    The content of this video is amazing!
    Thank you, Chad, for reframing SMART Goals for me.
    Where things have not worked well for me in creating SMART Goals in the past, is that my level of belief was so low, considering the gargantuan nature of what I want to accomplish and achieve in life.
    By keeping it believable -- such as the example you gave regarding acquiring 10 customers a month -- it actually makes it much more actionable. Something that I can train my team on, as well.
    BTW: I am a huge fan of all things Navy SEAL. I appreciate the discipline and how you are able to channel your training and experience into other ventures.

    I like the structure of your videos and that they give actionable advice. But to be honest man, I would cut the music and the over editing.

      I don't mind the music as much as I mind hearing the vocals on top of the music. Not my place to say anything here but it's just my opinion 😉😊

    So... first of all, holy shit.
    I sat down to do this journaling technique. I've done quite a few, and have some I fall back on. Or just resort to brain dumps, which helps. But man, this one just ... just had a huge impact.
    So I'm a writer, soon to be author, and I've been struggling with some fundamental things with writing. (I started writing 20+ years ago in a very fundamentally different way of doing things.) I've been learning or re-learning the craft over the last few years. Especially story structure. I've been struggling with confidence too. I have ADHD, and for standard writing for publication is a vastly different animal, and feedback might take years. I realized I needed to focus on much smaller SMART goals that will serve as my markers for if I'm on target or not. (Story, pacing, etc etc. Word count or word count per day I don't worry about as much.)
    But too, I was working out some issues on the page, when one of the biggest pieces of the puzzle to my issues just came boiling out, and let me see the things I've been worrying about so much? I got it. I've learned what I needed to. Really learned it. Internalized it. It's part of me. I *understand* that part of writing now.
    So the real enemy is my own anxiety, discipline, and motivation now. Applying it. Planning and execution. But with SMART goals, focusing on 1% improvement per day, I'll get where I wanna be much faster. I just have to show up and be consistent.
    Also I may be able to codify a system for myself now. (My earlier successes came because of systems I developed and then refined over time, and I still use them. Maybe now I can develop a system for my writing that leverages all I've learned)
    So thank you for this. Even if I don't adopt everything here long-term, it's still created a big ripple in my little pond.

    I just subscribed to your channel, great stuff. I am one of those that is great at starting but fail to complete. At first I thought that I lacked motivation, but then I realized that motivation isn't what I needed, it was discipline. Motivation tells you that you want to do a particular task for whatever the reason, when that reason is no longer valid the motivation is gone. Discipline tells/drives you to do a task whether you want to or not and doesn't require motivation. I still struggle with discipline, even though I'm a squid just like you (you are never not a squid, just a different rating). Thanks Chad

    You are awesome, your delivery is awesome but the music was too loud and distracting. I stayed til the end because I wanted to hear what you had to say but I struggled near the end, so if you see your retention rate drop, that is where you can improve for next time. Lower volume for SURE but play either without lyrics or change tempo.

    1) Overcome Self Doubt
    & don't worry about others doubt,
    Or use others doubt as a fuel
    Problems:
    1) We set unrealistic expectations, and if we don't achieve it, we get discouraged
    2) We focus more on Failures than our progress

    And what is your current plan to improve it?
