I did an overnight test-drive on the base 991.2 911. Way more useful power band than 991.1.
That's dope! CBRD finally got a sick feature! I live 45 minutes from there :)
Another great video. Man, what a flat torque curve!! You guys know the coolest people!!
I drive a MR2! Finally a little love for the MR2. You boys need to get one for your channel. Trust me, you will love it.
I had a fully modded 997.1 3.8 Carrera S with full FVD exhaust including header, tune, intake etc. it made 345 at wheels on a Mustang dyno. And it sounded glorious!!
Thanks for the info.I really dig the earlier 930s.
I think Porsche sets the carrera up in a way that it feels NA, more linear. For the turbo model they set it up that it has more boost in higher rpms so that you feel the punch. And at least here in austria where i live the 991.2 carrera s cost as much or more as a 997 turbo when it was new... BTW I am a big fan of Speed Academy very high quality content and sympathic hosts. Greetings from Vienna
Is there an update to this this video with full tune? I'm hearing of +125hp after tune which would put it at the 475hp to the wheels mark.
Leasing the test mule. Love it.
Omg that shop is amazing!😍😍😍
I live in York. Kinda cool and surprising to see it in a vid. Get out while you still can. RUN!
Was the baseline run for the 991.2 a corrected HP number? Trying to determine if Porsche is really underrating engine power or of your baseline runs are corrected which bump them up a bit.
Japan know how to make wheels.
Japan knows how to make everything lol.
To all the haters saying how cheap the japanese cars and wheels are. we should thank them! not every car enthusiast can afford Porsche or Ferrari. Japanese designs their car to last and affordable.
Sat Singh sure, and Germans know how to make cars. I think generally the best cars in the world come from either Japan or Germany, Italy makes beautiful, but often fragile cars, Britain hardly make cars anymore, but the US makes lots of dreadful vehicles.
Wow, great power for a base Carrera. Porsche seem to be underrating their 991.2's. My 997 GTS barely hits 350whp on a dynojet and this one is making more on a mustang awd dyno??
Beautiful shop
Do you have a twin turbo kit for V8 R8 Gen1?
So that's about 415 bhp to the crank on a rwd base 911 Carrera?
couple of bolt ons and modest gains. Wow.
Those HP numbers are not so impressive if compared with Cobb stage 1 software upgrade!! 435hp-465tq
that mr2 oh my
Really coooool shop
Yup, awesome stuff !
what kind of exaust is that?
"Who drives MR2's, I never see them!"
Don't give me a big head PT, I have an MR2 turbo :) haha
Heh, used to looking at my PCCB, those rotors look so small to me now... even though they're huge.
Chad has good taste in cars
Twin turbo V10 Audi, Yes please. I assume it will be done in a similar style to the runway racer Lambo's with the TT V10's. Very cool.
Lawrence Sullivan UGR does twin turbo v10 R8s as well. Same engine.
update on s2k
Motor is out, we're waiting to break it down!
Chad's a stand up dude
I love it!....hope you have good life insurance owner guy (MR2) :-)
Very cool and clean shop!
Why not starting with a Carrera S instead of a base model?
Smaller brakes, softer suspensions, and the engine already make more than that (even though they are the same).
The gains with just a pair of header is pretty impressive! When you look a the stock manifolds you see the potential for improvement. I bet the throttle response is even better now?
Much cheaper to get a stripper base Carrera as a shop car than a Carrera S. Also, only difference is turbos, everything else is the same in the engine. They don't care about the brakes suspension etc because if it's a shop car they'll eventually replace them with sponsored parts.
I know it's cheaper and they will probably get sponsor brakes, but I would think that for developing and testing they would have used the engine that already has the most power, it makes more sens than testing performance parts on a less powerful version.
I think the 991.2 was pretty sweet, looks super nice. I want more of those Audis and the rest of the shop, that place was super bad ass. More MR2!
Where's the mustang and the celica?
Agreed, need more of these.
I need to see big moose break something.
Don't worry, lots more of both coming soon.
Are you guys based in PA?
buddylee19082
They are from the Toronto area.
sick chumpcar shirt.
Those Wheels LMAO
It was called the M635csi, not M6.
👍
BoostedBoiz have a VTEC MR2
can u please show us his 930,water pumpers are soooo boring
I drive a 91 mr2 everyday
Fuzzii Domo me too! I have a whole series on my channel about it.
Carbon Sw20 I used to drive an 86 Mk1 MR2. Fabulous car. Now finally in my dream car; 911 (991.2).
I'm going to keep it real.. Those wheels look like shit..
You don't put those wheels on a German car !
Why not?
the car is nice but it sounds like ass love the video and content keep it up guys
Get your hand off the MR2 Spoiler lol
so is it a turbo or a 911
911
it's not the Turbo model, but it's got a turbo! Thanks Porsche for confusing the shit out of all of us ;)
just a carrera
Its a 911 thats turbo, but its not a Turbo 911.
It's twin turbo but it's a smaller engine and the turbos are small.
Not a big fan of the stripes and wheels!
Love the car, hate the sound it makes.
Mumble you're a sick individual
I dont GAF about his butt dyno.. I only care about actual data.
375hp .... *ReallyNigga*
It's definitely not the most powerful. I have one that comes into our shop with full fabspeed exhaust and a prototype GIAC flash. Butt dyno says its 450-470.
Most powerful turbo 911 is only pushing 340hp?! Tha fuck?!
To the wheels, and it's a base model.
They are rated at 370hp stock.
911 not Turbo. It's the 991.2 BASE CARRERA.
CK_32 the thing is, the 991.2 is brand new so it's just a matter of whether anyone else has tinkered with their's yet.
CK_32 dude it's carrera and with 3.0 twin turbo making that much and but 911 turbo s makes 560 around
Those some ugly ass wheels smh
Maybe a nice car but it sounds weak.
Ruined a good car with cheap springs and awful wheels.
My dad has a BMW m6. Lol
lol!
Lol!
