      Yea so far this yard had the largest amount of novas,omegas, venturas, and apollos in one area than all of the other yards I have been too. It’s a shame some of the cars had cars stacked on top because the bottom car appeared to be solid before having the other car placed on the roof.

      That's trouble people on pick him up for nothing. Not Pay anything that they are worth. But if you sat on a moment enough somebody will come along and it's usually not somebody local. It's how all that people will drive such a long distance or had them shipped. Somehow it makes them worth more because I had to go halfway across country to get it. I saw 39 wagon that was in the family since 1970 give or take. Got about five k out of it and you could just about Jack the body off the frame it was so rusted. That was my I don't want to mess with the price to the guy and he took me up on it. I probably turn down$20,000 part at least over my lifetime. That's when you add up all the 100 to $500 offers some people say where you going to let Rust in the ground. You're darn right before I give it away, now that guy could have had that car for about $1,500 less. Just point of view send those guys who actually owned a batch of cars that will Rust away and has rusted away but they're worth more now than they were when they were in good shape. Not coming down on you in particular. Just pointing out the other guy's point of view that has a bunch of cars laying around. Anyway there's true that some guys always planned to get around to it. Much more so for some reason people think you out laying around they're entitled to it for free.

    That's pretty cool how much you like this era of Nova. I've got a 73/74 hatchback two Door Nova and a 78 two-door NOVA. The hatchback is a hatchback with it and it's a shell with a decent interior. God cannot give it away back in about 1984ish. Had a V6 which I transplanted into a front-wheel-drive newer car. Traded body parts that would unbolt for other parts and always thought it was cool because it was the end of the run for that body style and it was a hatchback. I'm glad to see other people liking them, because they weren't even ten years old and they were hated with a passion. The 77 coupe that just stayed around the family, from several of those body style that I had over the years back then. Remember novas were never true muscle cars. That was the general consensus until about maybe 20 years ago or so. I had plenty of them that were fast. Well just a little backstory I'm a kid I used to be a kid that grew up around them 😭. If you didn't have money that's what you drove if you want them real muscle car you got GTO maybe a Chevelle. Definitely not a mustang that was a true muscle car either. Ironic that most people consider a Camaro a muscle car throughout its run. Good see you soon so much love to these old novas..

    I once found a 70’s Nova with a automatic console. I can’t remember what Chevy called it, but I knew it was rare. I needed the steering wheel column for my 69
    as it was converted to a 4 speed. Another rarity is my Nova was once a 4 cylinder car. You wouldn’t think that when it’s a low 13’s car on street tires.

    The later models, 75-79, are getting to be the popular build now because the 68-74 2 door Novas are getting hard to find in buildable shape, I just moved back to Florida from the Fort Mohave/Lake Havasu area and when I went back in October I bought a 75 Olds Omega, idk if it was there while you were there but it's Gold with the Black painted roof. I was looking for a Nova but I grabbed the Omega because the front clip was in REALLY good shape and if you have ever had an Omega you know how hard those Grilles are to find, it has the 250 Strait Six in it which I'm just going to rebuild because it's a GREAT engine and it's rare these days, alot of people pull the Strait Six and put a 350 in in them. Past that I idk what I'm going to do with as far as what color or interior.

      Just a 2 day update.... I stopped by my local Paint and Supply store to look at Colors and I picked up gallon of Eastwood's Agave Green Metallic, Why Agave Green? because I got a SMOKING deal on it, my local store is an Eastwood Distributor and it was a "Miss-Mix" and I paid $50 for it, which is 66% of the price, and honestly IDGAF that it's 1/8 shade off of what it's supposed to be. I'm Painting the whole car so noone's gonna notice anyway unless there's another Agave Green car sitting right next to it and there's little to no chance of that.

      Love the 75-79s. Especially the Ventura-Omega-Skylark.
      Is your Omega the one with the angular front facia? I think that was a one year only front end.
      The straight 6 is a good engine that will last forever. I came across a '76 Omega F85 for sale about three years ago. That is the strip down model that is super RARE. Only the second one I have seen in my life. Someone had swapped in a SBC but the emissions sticker showed it had a 250 originally.

      @@tommylord all of the Omega's had the Trianglur front-end but the 77-79 were the ones with the pronounced beak. Congrats on the 76 F85, Not alot of people realize that Olds brought F85 edition back from 75-79, they think they ended in 67, which they did with the Cutlass but they brought it back for the Omega in 75 because sales for the Omega were bad in 73 and 74 and they didn't want to scrap the model.

    • @tommylord
      @tommylord Před 4 měsíci

      @@TheREALOC1972 Thanks for the reply. What I meant by angular was the grill and headlight bezels were sloped back at the top, instead of straight vertical. That was 1975 only.
      I did not buy that F85 I saw but I took a lot of photos for brevety.
      Back in about 1982, I saw an Omega (76-77ish) parked in a small town that had a factory 5-speed. I bet those were rarer than hen's teeth. I think that a 5-speed could only be had with the 260 V8.
