I forgot to add please you are to also go with your international passport and that of your children too. You are to also pay for visa fees for each child aside yours, kindly check the website for the correct amount.

To God be the Glory, my wife didn't go through all these processes. Ours was very simple and smooth.
No A1 Certificate, no marriage pictures ( infact the Embassy threw the Wedding pictures back at my wife, telling her they dont need them).
No insurance coverage asked, nobody came to her for confirmation. It was just smooth

Yes appointment is one year. Although there is an exception for those whose spouse have the blue card resident permit and also the ZAV approval.
Please my husband is a German and we just got married at an registering office , we did not do a traditional marriage or wedding , so we don't have pictures can we just go with the pictures we took at the registering office to the embassy?

Hello. My only advice would have been send a mail but since you said you have. Then you have to be patient and hopeful. You can also try and call but you have to call at a particular time. You can check the website for the number and time you can call.

A1 is required for the spouse to have. But spouse’s of blue card holders are excepted. I was also exempted

'm a Blue Card holder and currently waiting for my wife's appointment. Is it certain that she won't be needing the A1 certificate? I have heard cases of interviewers asking spouses of blue card holders to provide it on nairaland.
Furthermore, how long did it take, from the time you had your interview till you were asked to submit your passport and insurance? Also, your hubby being a blue card holder, did the home office contact him to provide any documents? if yes, what was the time frame from after your interview? Apologies for the many questions.

Hello, Yes she does not need A1 certificate if you are under blue card. I did not do so also with all my friends so I am sure of that. For your second question, I had a lot of missing documents so I can say after I submitted the missing document, it took about two weeks for them to request my passport. Lastly the home office did not contact my husband for anything. But I think that depends on your city because some of my subscribers have mentioned that their husbands were contacted. So they might and they might not.

@@fiveandsixduo I saw somewhere in another comment where you replied to someone saying there is an exception for spouses of Blue Card holders to have expedited appointments. Please, how can I go about this since this is our case? We’ve applied for our own appointment since July this year and have been waiting with one year in mind.
@@offorchristopher It is only possible if she had not applied. If you had contacted us before her application then the fast track would have been possible because she would have applied as family of a skilled worker and not family reunion. A subscriber reached out to us last week on IG and after applying she was given appointment for 12 Dec. It was possible for her because she reached out before doing any application. Don’t worry tho you might be lucky and not wait up to one year. I wish your wife all the best🙏

Hello, your question is not very clear to me . What do you need the verflictungerklarungen for? For family reunion you do not need it. The documents needed are what I mentioned in the video. Verpflichtungserklärungen which means declarations of commitment is usually needed when you are in Germany and wants to invite someone over. You can please clarify your question further.

Hello ma, Pls I need guideline on A1 certificate. It wasn't available during the interview but was gotten after, the issue is no deadline was given for submission, so my question is Can it be sent to the embassy via courier service without any notice from the embassy or must wait for them to request for it before sending the certificate to them?

Hello. It will not be accepted from you unless they see a print out email that asked you to submit it. So it’s either you send an email explaining to them or you wait for them to ask for it. Your interviewer was supposed to give you a deadline but since he/she did not be sure you need it. If your spouse is under the blue card then you don’t need it.

Please if your Minor kids are travelling with you do you also take them with you to the embassy for the appointment .is it really a must to take them with you for apointment. And also when booking for apppintment online do i book theirs separately
You book appointment for your self but make sure you fill their own application forms if not they will not attend to you. Two copies each for them and other documents that they need

Yes pics are part of the documents required, soft copy can be sent to you then you print it out

If both parents are no more, the head of family should do it. For the A1 I have no idea how it works.

Verification is done by a lawyer. The embassy will assign one to you. The lawyer will visit you at home and also visit all the places you schooled and all that
Do those that their spouse have EU resident need A1 certificate
When you say EU resident do you mean the passport or just resident permit? If it’s the passport yes you need to have A1 and if it’s permit, it depends on the permit. If the permit is EU blue card then the person does not need A1. So it’s safe to say everyone needs it except those whose spouse have the blue card permit

Hello, the Spinster hood is like an affidavit sworn by your parents that you were not married until you met your husband. You do it in the court or where you would normally do affidavit. It will have the court stamp and seal just like any other affidavit.

Hello, the spinsterhood affidavit is to be sworn by your parents saying you were never married before until you met your husband. It is an important document that you must take along for your interview.

Hello, yes you need the German A1. Most people use the Goethe institute in lekki for Lagos you can find out about that. Thirdly you do not need proof of funds from your end. Lastly you will need pics of both of you from way back like an old pics to show you have been together etc

You mean the family reunion visa? No you don’t need bank statements for that. Just go with visa and verification fees.

You need visa fee for your baby but verification fee is just the one you will pay for yourself. Check the website for the current visa fees and verification fees.

Hello, you don’t need her passport now because she will be using same appointments date as yours. When booking you are booking for yourself but make sure are passport is ready for the interview.

Yes no lawyer will come. After interview you wait for a mail from them asking you to submit travel insurance and passport

Hello, you can swear affidavit of declaration of age if you do not have birth certificate but take note that it must be done by one of your parents. I also do not have birth certificate so I used affidavit sworn by my parents .

I said in the video that you do not need A1 if your spouse is a blue card holder but if not then A1 is required.

@@amakaloveth4788 It’s a type of resident permit. But there is a threshold of a certain amount you must be earning to qualify for it.

Hello, you are not paying separately since you are doing with your child or children. Only children that are going alone will pay for that.

You do NOT need to book a separate date for her BUT you must fill her own application form. Two copies each. You do NOT need questionnaire or videx form JUST the application form

@@user-od5ox7cp7p It does not matter. When is your interview date because you will go with a photocopy of his permit. If it’s before September no problem because they know he will renew it. And for the A1 I have no idea how it works because I did not do it. I know you can go for interview but they will give you a stipulated time to submit it. So the problem should be will you be able to meet whatever time that will be given to you ?
