How long did it take for the Ausländerbehörde to review your documents and contact the embassy to issue you with the visa? And which city in Germany was this Ausländerbehörde if you don't mind me asking that question?
@@hashimwamutitu682 it took Ausländer Behörde 5-6 months. My City is in Niedersachsen. Note that it could take longer to shorter time to get all documents review and visa approved. Individual cases are different and also we have to consider Urlaub sessions as well, cos this guys over here don’t joke with their Holidays😁 I have heard cases of people that their VO left their files unattended and went on Holidays
@@Iam___dora I am not asking about the entire visa process but the time between you submitting the Meldebescheinigung and the pay slips to the Auslanderbehorde and you getting the visa. Specifically, that time frame
Thanks for the information, can't believe it takes this long to ger appointment in Nigeria, am from Ghana and I got my appointment within within month and did my documents submission, I called the embassy for documents status and they said mt documents have been. Given to the lawyer for verification but they said they nor sure if the lawyer will go see my family not, they said the lawyer will make those decisions when he done going through my documents, How long roughly does it takes for the lawyer to be done with the verification process? The lady from the embassy said over the phone to me thay could take anywhere from 1 to 3 weeks but with what am seeing from other people could take even 6 months
Usually in Nigeria it takes 3-6 months, more when there are issues with the documents being submitted. But I honestly don’t have an idea of how long it’s takes over there in Ghana

Now going for a second interview doesn’t make it a sign of Visa denial or rejection, the embassy just needs more convincing, Usually for second interviews you and your spouse will be interview alongside. They just need to collaborate the information you gave to them at the time of your interview. While you will be invited for an interview in Lagos, you husband will be interviewed as well in Germany and at the same. If the visa officer doesn’t not find any conflicting information from you both then your visa will definitely be issued to you. Just hang in there and keep all hope alive all will be well soon.

He should contact his city Ausländerbehörde either via phone call or book an appointment with them to check out what the cause of delay is, usually it could be due to shortage of staff or the Visa Officer handling your file could be on holiday (happened to my friend but her file was transferred to another VO available at the time). But whatever the case may be, I‘ll encourage you to hang in there cos your process is 80-90% complete 🤗. All is well that ends well🤗

Welcome Queen, it’s a good to have you here, I think you are talking about the application form and Questionaire form, these forms are for you to fill and submit on the day of your appointment not online. They can either be hand-filled or filled on a computer and printed out. And for your interview date, it will be sent to you via email stating the exact date and time for your Interview/Appointment. @queen so after application for the appointment via the embassy website, you will have to wait for a year and some months before you will get the email, informing you of the exact date and time of your appointment, so while you are waiting for their mail, it is essential that you gather all the necessary documents needed using the checklist for Family reunion Visa. Hi, I am just seeing your question, so sorry for the late response. Health insurance is only requested when you get your verification completed mail. They request for Travel Health Insurance when they ask you to bring your Passport for visa stamp. In summary that is requested towards the end of the Family reunion process. If you are applying for visiting/tourist visa then you can take your Travel Health Insurance with you for your appointment.
Good morning Dorathy, pls do you know how long it takes for someone that doesn't need a lawyer, cos i was told i didnt need a lawyer, thats i didnt need verification and two months after my interview i was sent an email to send my passport that was in October and i did and they also reached out to my husband to send some documents over ther too, i havent heard from them till now, so i'm wondering how long its supposed to take to send back the passport and my documents 😢
Does your husband hold a Bluecard??? If yes that explains why you didn’t need verification in the first place, but it sure doesn’t take time to issue visa as long as they have asked for your passport. But the visa issuance authorisation is From Germany here. October is a long tho but just be patient you will get your Visa. Just hang in there 🤗
@@Iam___dora Hi Dora, No my husband doesn't have a blue card yet, he is a scientific researcher, it was based on him being a researcher that they told me I wouldn't need verification. Although he has later applied for a blue card after my interview.

@@victoriavictoria3939 hello Victoria good to have you here, My travel insurance was done by my spouse and sent to me via email by the insurance company, but in Nigeria you can use AXA Mansard travel insurance, they are reliable I used them once when I applied for visiting visa, it wasn’t expensive. Furthermore a friend of mine who is also in the process used them recently and it cost about 22k or so, for 3months insurance. I cant remember the exact amount but do well to download their app and see for yourself. I hope this helps. Happy holidays 🤗
Hello, so usually it takes 1year and some months before an appointment mail is sent to you, and this mails carries your appointment/interview date and time. So basically this is when the process starts for you. Just hang in there, hopefully you will get your mail soon.

It’s usually take 3-6 months but you should be contacted anytime from now. Usually people have little delays tho.
