Awesome!! WD silicon seems to be the best stuff to use. Wash, rinse, air, WD and wipe down. And some 1 UP clear on the bearings. Is the best way. For those worried about bearings

I watched this, the next morning I went and got the supplies and it worked soooooo good it looks brand new🤣 I sprayed the simple green, let it sit for 15 minutes, rinsed it off well then I covered everything with a thin layer of wd40, let that sit for about 30 minutes to kinda let it soak in then I just blow dried it, went over it with a rag and omg it’s crazy how good it come out

I use close to the same technique. I use the exhaust end of a shop vac to blow it dry. More air flow, faster results. I used silicone spray at the end as well and wipe it down. Dirt comes off easier after next session.

Hey this is a good vid that's the way I clean my Arrma Cars also but I use oxygen Orange from the dollar store to clean but Simple Green will work also and then I would dry it off with a air blower then spray it with WD-40 on the A-Arms and some of the Plastics that are there but I use mo-94 so you can spread out on the bearings also put WD-40 on the on the Plastics if I have only WD-40 then lubricate the bearings with some R.C bearing lubrication but WD-40 or mo-94 will give the Plastics more tensile strength and more stronger to bash it around.😉👍👍👍

If you really need your off road toy to be sparkly clean, that often, go for it. But for those who just want it to keep working well so they can enjoy GETTING it dirty, don’t clean it like this. Exterior dirtiness doesn’t hurt your xmaxx and areas that are important to keep clean need a little more care than just spraying it with chemicals and water then blowing it off with air. Btw compressed air can blow debris into places it wouldn’t have otherwise gotten into. It’s a no-no in my industry to clean off machines with air compressors.
The xmaxx dust covers that cost $15 work GREAT if you’re smart enough to put it on right.
If you get your xmaxx real muddy and actually need to clean it off, do it with care and sense. Be willing to take a few things apart and not just treat the entire machine the same. Take the time to let it dry thoroughly before powering it up again.
I clean when I do repairs or rebuilds and I just focus on the area I’m working on.
I drive through everything and not much clings to my truck. If you’re jumping it 20’ into the air not much stays stuck to it so maybe jump more and clean less.

Hi!! Thank you so much for tuning in. Also please subscribe! I have never had a tire explode or be ruined from water or really anything. Besides maybe coming unglued.
I feel if you drive your car in water you’ll definitely ruin your foams. I don’t drive in water though. The little bit of house water I focus on lightly spraying.
And for the. Wd40, yep. Not good for bearing but neither is water. So for me I use it to soften plastic parts and also keeps rust out of screw caps

    • @pnwRCMADNESS

I only wash my truck like this when it gets muddy. In the summer I don’t wash as much and just blow and brush the dirt off. When I’m done cleaning the truck I make sure to spray compressed air in all the bearing carries, and re lube with a squirt of wd40. Just so it doesn’t rust. And then every so many tear downs I replace certain parts and bearings to keep it fresh. Hope this helps💯🤙

@@pnwRCMADNESS I experimented with a bunch of different products for a couple months and my current favorite is:
Before I go out driving, I spray all wheel and diff/cup/dogbone related bearings with some Silicone spray, then when I get home I will follow your process and if it was raining out or muddy I’ll apply WD-40. If it’s sunny and dry, I will clean the car and apply another coat of Silicone before putting away. I’ve found all my cars run and free roll so nicely after pampering like this.
The silicone spray I use is Liquid Wrench Part Number M914, but I’ve also used the WD brand of silicone spray with equal results.

Hi! If you don’t have a compressor the next best thing would be possibly a small blower. Like a makita or a dewalt. If you don’t have any of those then a towel and rags will do it just add mores time. Then maybe i would also spray wd40 really well on the screw caps to keep from rusting and the pin areas. Also after a few wet runs take your entire rc apart for full maintenance rebuild
