Used the Foaming simple green years ago (around 2004), tried finding it again for a quite a while and couldnt. I gave up and figured it was discontinued. Happy to see its available and Yes it works great
Oh yeah, I need some of that. I love Simple Green and the way it smells. The whole pit would be smelling like it.
Thanks Mark. Just getting back into this hobby. Your channel is on point. Keep the videos coming. Thanks bro.
I will be making my purchase soon. thanks brotha
Simple green is the best. I just did a RC cleaning video and it took some time. I used SG and water and the compressor. I'm bout to order this. Thanks bruh!👍🏽
Endust works just as good! And smells good
Hi Marc, greats from germany.
I just wanna know, with what do you grease your Center dogbones? Or do they needed to be greased?
Ciao and have a Good day
Yuuup that’s a must need on rc enthusiasts that bash or race on the true dirt tracks. I’ll send my locals to your video tip.
Don't know how to take apart the hole 4s kraton i have just know the basics Anyways i don't drive on race TRACKS or bash it or crash it Either just drive on Baseball Diamonds short grass valley areas and big shcool yards THATs it until i upgraded more
But it is a very good strong Truck bought my simple green at home hardware in Toronto where i live
Right Across the street from me
Man, this makes me HAVE to clean my fleet now. I have a few rigs that will put this stuff to the test.
Ever try it Mega? I use regular simple green and I'm gonna have to try this stuff
Oh yeah bro. Thats good stuff
i am new at the rc game but i love this vidio now a subscriber thanks for the insight
Wow!!! Greetings from AUSTRALIA!!!! Cheers for the TIP!!!! 🤙
did it strip the paint on your suspension cylinders? they ;ppl red om the beginning, and gray at the end ...
I did some research and the Simple Green BBQ cleaner in Aerosol form is the same product as the foaming crystal.
Good stuff man!
you dont need to rinse it off? have you noticed any effects on anodized parts? this seems to good to be true lol i use simple green but i always rinse with water afterwards because ive read simple green may mess with certain anodized parts even plastics if left on to long
I think this is a sweet product and definitely has it's place/use escpcially at the track. However, I will still continue to buy the gallon of simple green as it's just $5 locally for me. I only need to do one coat along with the water hose spray down and things come out spotless. I'll buy a can for when I need a quicker wash down but it seems like I'll get 2-2.5 uses a can and it's gone..
Thanks for the video I need that.
Bro, what air compressor you sporting there in Santaland? Needed this stuff a year ago when restoring my old Tamiyas.
just buy regualr simple green and put it in one of those weed sprayers to get it to foam. I just use a 99c spray bottle. and scrub with tooth brush on bad areas and blow off with air nozzle. way cheaper then this can stuff
Can you use regular simple green to clean your trucks lexan bodyshell? Or what to use that cleans that and wont scratch the shell up
J Zepp I’d think simple green and an air compressor would work well. If anything hit it with 1 coat of simple green to loosen up chunks of mud or dirt then blow it off and hit it with another coat to get hard to get the mud/dirt stains off
I love cleaning the R/C's take them apart and clean real good put back together with a nice body to make it look good while sitting, then put a bashing body on and go do some bashing, I hate seeing cars or trucks sitting all crusty, they all look good cleaned up...with a fresh body.
I've seen questions about if you could please let them know whether or not it will damage the bearings and all I see is a thumbs up. Not sure if the thumbs up means you can let them know or if it will degrease the bearing. If you wouldn't mind a yes or no to make it a lil more understandable. Ty Mark.
Awesome, need to try some🤙
Just ordered two cans. 👍
Can you use it on your electronics also? Like all in the chaise
i have a new revo 3.3 now only a week or so. i am new to the hobby. any advice?
It's my birthday in a week and I'm getting the Traxxas Vxl system, and I'm making my Rustler look brand new because why not. Im taking all the bad and rusty screw and cleaning them and replacing stripped ones
Hello guys 🙌🏽I need help ...in my city it is rainy season and the track has water and mud...
and I want to continue using it...I bring a copperhead 10 waterproof ESC and a castel 1412 3200kv. with sensor but in the place of the sensor I already put dielectric grease..
The question is: can I use it by disconnecting the fan from my ESC? since it says that it is the only thing that is not against water, the ESC fan.
what dou you recommend?? I bring a traxxas slash 4x4, can I use it and it doesn't deprogram or have any problems? Obviously after using it, wash it completely and oil it...
Nice bro.....
That's fire wow... the I use wd 40 spray silicone lube . Does not attract dust.
I'll have to get some. I've always used Yamalube... which is good for lubricating but definitely attracts dust
@@RileyVanAlstyne Dry lube WD40 Brand
How's it do with the dirt that gets in the screw heads
EXCELLENT VIDEO!! You just sold a Shit ton of simple green!
hahahahaha
Mark santa maria can u let us know if this foam will damage bearings ????
Hey Mark. Question for you. Just wondering what kind of air compressor use? Looks like you have some good pressure to it. Currently I have a air tank that I have a air spray nozzle on but doesn't seem like it lasts for a long I have to keep going back and forth to the gas station to fill it up. I've been looking for a decent compressor that maybe I could take with me I have to to the track or an end to be able to use at home. do you have any recommendations?
Do you happen to have a air mattress pump? I use mine for this.
I’m sold!!! 👍🏾
That stuff s awesome it cleans really good sub and like to Mark Santa Maria
I just clean it and spray silicon spray on everything other then esc and fan. Bash all day and it just needs a hose off and a respray of silicon spray. I use PB blaster silicon spray the green can.
Hey Mark! Do you still use this stuff to clean? Or you find something better? Thanks!
Whats the simple green 1 FOR rc Cars or TRUCKs the proper 1 i mean
Could you spray it over the motor or the ESC?
Hey what I was looking for something for beginners to clean the car safely, can you pls also tell me what air machine you were using to blow of the cleaner, your always happy in your videoz💥💯💪🏿
Air compresor
Will this foam work for your tires too?
How long does that can last for? Because like almost all spray cans they go quick unlike spray bottles
Hey! Can i use All Purpose Simple Green instead of Foaming Crystal? Whats the difference? Should i dilute it with water and what parts of my nitro car should i avoid to spray with it? Thank you!
You should try SC1 not many people know about it but it’s awesome it’s like $15 on Amazon but it is really good
What body is that and would it fit a backslash
Absolutely, Simple Green is the best cleaner for RC'S, that's all I use.........ALSO, IF YOU WANT A NICE TIRE SHINE, USE WHESTLEYS BLEACH WHITE.,👍🤙🤟
I clean my rc’s with the same stuff i use for my Car and atv’s and gokart. Which is Meguires ultimate products like Ultimate wash & wax along with Meguires quick detailer.
Can you spray the electronics to?
Simple green hd work's great. I take my car apart and use it in my ultrasonic cleaner and it work's awesome.
Mark. I thought you were a big cow rc fanatic. They have good cleaning stuff too.
But you still have to take it apart to check all the hinge pins, shock pivots and ball cups to make sure everything's not bent and all works right.
wow got to order some
👍
Mark, what is your compressor of choice for cleaning down caked up dirt? Also do you carry a generator to races?
How has this been holding up? Any issues with plastics or rubber?
How do you clean the main chassis
anyone know the simple green concentrate work the same if diluted with water. spray optin seems exensve for me
Does this sease the bearings?
How many cleans u things u can get out of that can
holy crap, Im ordering some
That’s impressive
Nice dude I may try that on my xmaxx!
try cow rc products that is made for it
I will look into that!
What psi is your compressor. ?
Cool
And do u have to take hole vichceles
this for normal cleaning and an ultrasonic cleaner for when you strip it right back for the big maintenance intervals will keep it like new.
What drill is that? Milwaukee M12?
Can it clean wheels and tires?
dude love youre man cave
Do you have a video of how you apply WD40?
Is their a substitute for this?
I haven’t been able to find it in stores and I have NO intentions of paying $650 for shipping.
What kind of WD-40 do you use?
Wow
Do you Need to take apart yhe whole rc car or Truck?
another good cleaner is called Greased lightning you can buy it at lowes or home depot for less the $4.00 it doesnt hurt the paint or plastics
Does this degrease your bearings?
Hi bro.
Detailed video 👌
I'm new to RC just got myself a Losi 5IVE-T 2.0
Can I use Simple green to clean it and do I have to take apart
Would appreciate your reply 👍👍
Hey Robert. jumping in here. you should be ok with it on your losi. Just steer clear of your electronics. Cheers!
I checked home depot out here and they have it for 6.50 a can i dont know about a case thou
6.50 x 12 =78
With SG being a degreaser, does it not break down grease in bearings etc?
Bearings shouldn't have grease on them. Grease collects dirt. You should use a thin bearing oil or any oil really will be fine. You just clean and then oil your bearings at the end 👍🏻 but no grease 🚫
When the video of the nitro buggy?
After you do this do you need to re lube the bearings
Also what wd-40 did he mean when he was talking about giving it a spray with wd40, just the normal one?
Standard wd40 attracts dirt. Use wd40 silicone spray or ANY brand of silicone spray. I personally use wd40 specialists dry lube on all my rc's/dirt bikes/lawn equipment etc
I think the wd40 is just for making the plastic look black again
@@TheNamesArif wd40 actually soaks into the derlin/ plastic and makes it more flexible/ less brittle.
I use. Muc off, awsome products
Purchased!
Simple green is a degreaser so not crazy about the idea of using it to clean my RC. It'll remove lubrications from bearing if it hits them. yes I understand they are sealed but sealed doesn't mean air tight.
Is IT safe to use on ur rc cars or Truck s
So my only question is why WD-40 and not a silicone spray? Dirt sticks to WD, silicone lubes and leaves a little protection behind almost like a coat of wax when it dries, just trying to understand why 1 over the other
Robert Kast me to
Robert Kast WD-40 is the worst thing to put on your car. Use SC1!!!!
@@nednerb6520 I didnt plan on it at all, but it sparked my curiosity when he was saying that he does that, it seemed like a horrible idea so I had to ask
Thank you so much for your video, very nice tip. I use silicone spray either cause regular WD-40 contains acid and destroys your bearings...
Fabrice Maggio what about that dry graphene spray lube? I use that over silicon thinking it will prevent dirt sticking, what you think?
Simple green period is great and biodegradable.
I prefer Maxima SC1 to WD40 waterproof and smells amazing
CJ Moto way better than WD-40 I swear by SC1, it’s the best thing to put on your car
What if I don’t have an air compressor do I just wipe it off with a rag
Yes, but after In front of a dehumidifier with a fan on it is gold
That's all I use is Simple Green, that shit is amazing for cleaning RC's.👍👍😝
If your going to do this use use a clean paint brush or woman's make up brush or even a tooth brush to agitate the dirt after you let it sit for a few minutes. I have an assortment of brushes, all different sizes for different things. Then rinse it off with water and use an air compressor to dry it afterwards or a towel if you don't have one. You will have much better results. I wouldn't let the SG dry on my car without rinsing it off.
Just bought a case 😀
❤
I found a can at Walmart for $3.50-ish, it's in the paint section.
Is it safe to put on all electronics? An how do I apply wd40 to keep safe
WD=water displacement. Leaves a film though.
Yes i need that stuff... but i guess i also need an air compressor.. damn it
what does wd-40 help out with after using simply green?
KEN if anything it makes it worse, that’s why his cars get so dirty. WD40 attracts dust and makes it stick. Use SC1 after you get your car all clean!
@@nednerb6520 Thanks for the help..I'm new rc
Tire foam.
Wd 40?
Please show what you do with WD40 the whole cleaning process
Does it mess up your bearings doing it like this?
codysb05 ive never had a problem and have been cleaning with simple green for years. I always finish off cleaning my cars with wd40 or PTFE spray
@@MarkSantaMaria does WD-40 ACTUALLY hurt the bearings?
Says 12.00 or so om amazon...am i doing something wrong?
If you order a case its just under 4 bucks a can
home depot has it for 6$ local to me
