If there's anything life needs MORE of, it's waffles....literal ones, lol. Oh, also, don't trust those regular-grade bearings in the motor for too long, motor bearings are a higher grade, typically, but you probably know. Really liking your eBay course...starting to see some profits.
I didn't know, but you learn something everyday! Thank for the course feedback I'm glad you are liking it, thanks :)
@@KevinTalbotTV Y'know how much you love your TRX-4 I'd love to see you do a video shoving some tracks on it, see if they're Kev grade lol
@@KevinTalbotTV run 6s on it and send it to the suicide jump. Be cool if you did a 2 years ago today type of thing
@MAD GRUMPYMAN Correction: motor bearings are SUPPOSED to be a higher grade....but with all the myriad chinese rubbish, bargain basement bearings are put into hobby grade motors all the time.
@MAD GRUMPYMAN I'm sorry if I sounded like that, I was agreeing with you. Isn't it sad how name brand items are made in China with all the cost-cutting that comes with it, while still charging name-brand prices? At least 10+ years ago, the Chinese stuff was cheap.
Found your channel after being out of the RC works for about 20 years. My 3 year old just got his first basic RC plane and I started to get the itch to buy another RC car after my last one (Yokomo YR-4). Stumbled across your channel and subscribed instantly. Of my 100+ subscriptions youâre already the one I look forward to most. This channel is simply CZcams done right. Well done and thanks! đ
I really like these quick rebuild videos. They motivate me to work on mine. I know it takes a long time and there is a lot of editing but you do a great job at it. Thanks for all the hard work and entertainment.
Very soothing video Kev. I don't have enough RC work to keep me satisfied. Came here for this.
Turn the roverginy into a rally car.
Yessssss!!!!!
Yeah!!!!!!
Kev I love your videos and you were the reason I got into the rc hobby 4 years ago keep up the good work and canât wait for 1 mill subs
Iâve been wanting a rc for a long time. I had a few when I was growing up, and I loved them. Hopefully Iâll be able to get one eventually.
I just recently bought a used brushless 4x4 slash for 40 dollars!!! Even came with a 5000 mah 3s! I had to do this same thing! It had been abused and fixing it back up to what itâs supposed to be felt good! Now itâs my daily basher! Great video! đđ»
You are the Best in our Hobby ! I always check your stuff out with great interest!
It's always nice to see you taking care of your RCs.
I want to see more of these videos builds they are really cool to watch
Yeah
Man Kevin you are the best RC Repairman! Your video will help me understand on how I can repair my RC's.
Great job Kev , I don't think I would have remembered how to put it together again ..I've learned so much from you , Thank you and keep up the great work .... Mark G ....
This is the video I needed! I needed specifically a Kevin talbot video on how to unfreeze bearings and where each one is
I like your how to videos... You could do a whole series on this for beginners.
J!b!nvk jdys the a k lovh you have fun with your friends and family
Great video to show what happens and how to prevent it đ
Hi Kevin thanks to your unique tip on how to remove a broken screw I the xmaxx diff . By applying heat to the screw. Works great no problem taking it out. It all because of you that I am a proud owner of thee greatest basher today the xmaxx8s . Your friend in the USA.
Awesome vid Kev, I really think a lot of people get plenty of unknown knowledge out of these types of vids even though a lot of them donât mention it , as most people like to pretend they already knew what you just did , but in reality they really didnât but need people to think their pros and know everything ! But awesome vid and Keep up the Great Work !! đâïž
Great video Kev! My Stampede went for a swim yesterday so will be rebuilding that this week, I did go mad with the grease last rebuild though so hopefully wonât be too bad!
Hey Kevin! This video was a very useful tip, cuz my broth broth is thinking about getting paddle tires for his stampede 4x4, to drive across our Nanaâs pond. Well just wanted to comment on the video, Iâve got the tama flu so I canât go drive my new maxx. Well keep up the good work and have a good night! đ€
Kev your work shop vids are allways packed with information and tips love it, can also appreciate the time that goes into creating a wreching vid đ€, I've driven a few Traxxas slashes but recently got a Amma Mojave have to be most durable and best handling short course đ€
you really have a talent for making great videos. anyone else that did a rebuild would be boring. i come to your channel for unboxing videos too because you keep them interesting
I appreciate that!
Lovely video Kev great music đ¶ awesome filming, get that monster truck built man !!!
Huge fan!! Love your channel!! So I SUBSCRIBED!!
Very good video kev . Well done mate
Hey buddy great videos, keep em rolling! , I might have a better idea then rebuilding the bearings . I take a blow dryer and fast dry it after a water run. It's not perfect but it does help prolong the bearings. Also oil filled bearings help repel the water a good bit as well.
Love it bro đŻđȘ
thanks for more great content, you play alot, but you sure put in work as well.... keep pushing !!
I've used my slash 4x4 in the rain, hydroplaning on a river, and I've packed it with snow for 3 years and I've only had to buy a motor rebuild kit. I haven't completely submerged it but it's definitely been very very wet. My friend submerged his rustler 2wd and the only thing he had to replace was the brushed motor
Really enjoyed this Kev,
Very useful breakdown of what to do when Water Happens!
Flawless Victoryđ
I have submerged my traxxxas stampede 4x4 Vxl in lake near where I live. The motor still works. Only thing I have had to replace is the esc months later.
Awesome rebuild video broski!
I recently built a slash 4x4 itâs been a great truck , very reliable and fast
Love ur vids Kev
Claire is awesome! What a trooper!!
Another great upload Kevin đ!!!! So gratifying to bring a rig back from the dead. Strong work. đ»đđđđȘđđ
Nice refreshđ
Best music in a video award Feb. 2020 đ Congratulations đŸđđđ
Thanks for a good wrenching video đ
Kev, I have upgraded my HBX Devastator wheels and tyres with the ones that go on the FTX Outback mini v2.0 and it now climbs up some crazy angles. It does make it look like one of those mud bog trucks you see Americans driving but the fact it now crawls much better and can climb steeper angles is just wicked. I would love to hear what you think of the upgrade and when the new shocks I've ordered for it arrive I'll post a picture on your facebook page.
Awesome , I have the slash vxl 4x4. The BEST 4x4 rc for racing and bashing.
Awesome clip đ
Wow 6s on the velineon motor is insane! đ€©
@KevinTalbot Clare is a true hero .... She is great for jumping in there and rescuing your Slash!
You make it look so easy bruv
Awesome video.
Very informative âŠ.and entertaining!!! Thumbs up!
That carlube is good stuff, i packed out my 2 scx10ii crawlers diffs with that to keep water out
Hi kev nice wreching again. What car grease was that for the diff cases? Does it have any weight? Is it Silicon based? And what do i have to look for to have a good grease for the cars.
Thanks, i am not sure if i enjoy watching you destroy them or repair them more. Thanks for sharing.
If i took my car apart that far, I'd have to buy another. Never get it back together lol
Same . I did that with my trx 4 trying to change a servo now i have a bin full of parts and a redcat 7 on the way in the mail lmao
Why?
Pick up one part and start adding to it. It works best if you look at it one part at a time
@@easylee1417 give it to a hobby shop theyll put it together
Very good job.đđđđđđ±đ±
Love it!
I love the wrenching videos! Gibbs or Zep are really good rust eating penetrating oils btw.
This is the ASMR i need
Nice job Mr Kev :)
Kevin, love the build and fix vids keep it up, just wanted to say I'm a subscriber from Ohio in the US and I have used a product called evapo rust to clean rusty parts and screws and it does an amazing job! I'm not sure if it's available directly in the UK, but you should try to find some for soaking small rusty stuff more thoroughly. I get it here at a place called harbor freight tools, but try online it would be worth it to you! Its environmentally friendly, skin friendly and not a harsh acid... try it !!
Keep it up, cant wait to see mods and fixes on the Raminator! Say hello to all your friends for me!!
I've been waiting for this. Hell yeah sorry i love the slash wrenching videos
Had the same happening to my UDR and what a pain that was!!! Rear axle was stuck solid, had to replace all bearings!
Question: what is the info on that ESC?
I'm in the market for a new ESC and want some options.
Hey Kev Iâve watched your videos for a while now and just wondering if I have a 3300 kv motor in my rc car if I wanted to upgrade it is it the bigger the kv or the lower?
Nice. Another wrench video. Loved it. Shuddered a little when I saw you put Traxxas bearings back into it. I've found them a bit meh on occasions. Luckily enough for me locally I can source some slightly better grade stuff, plus here in Australia, hobbyshops charge like a wounded bull. More of these wrenching montages. Thanks for the share.
Makes it look easy taking it all apart
Whatâs a good do it all gear ratio for the slash 4x4 with velineon? Mine gets pretty warm even when itâs colder out.
I have the to real drive slash it is my absolute favorite car I use that for racing on a carpet track I would like to get the 4 wheel drive though for bashing
Great video
kev is the best rc car youtuber
Keep up buddy,i wish you reach million subscribers
That happened to my offroad rc got wet and its stock its been 2 years i have still my offroad rc btw nice vid.
Which bearings do you recommend for the E-Revo 2.0, because those from Traxxas get stuck after 1 ride in the mud?
I have the same slash as yours , stock esc and motor but almost everything is metal except for the chassis , would you recommend getting the same tires as youâre running?
Great vid kev! Keep up the good work!!! You need to do a xmaxx motor in a slash!
Very useful, my Arrma senton is like this!
I use WD-40 white lithium grease . Used it for years and it works like a charm!
Kev, my understanding is that rubber seals are better at sealing than metal shields however the metal shields privide less resistance and are better for high RPM applications.
THANK YOU
Great work really informative maybe you could do similar thing with your ultimate desert racer
Oi! Whereâs my link? Slash would have stayed there if it was down to you đ€Ł
Claireâs RCâs hi claire i have subscribed to your channel đđ»
links there you nobber! lol
Kevin Talbot you just put that in! NOBBER đ€Ł

Hi Kev!! As good as new buds thumbs up
What's the best more and dad combo to put in my traxxas rustler 2wd
Kev i say get the proline brute body basically its the indestructible body for the slash 4x4 and keep the current body for a shelf queen body it
what gear case oil/lube would you recommend for a traxxas slash?
In what type of Grease do you use on your differential I didn't wreck living room or Marina Greece it look like petroleum jelly
Hey Kevin what r all those Zotac. Computer things behind the Raminator?
Awesome vid! Always excited to see a new upload! I have a recommendation for a dirt cheap rediculously fast RC it's called a wltoys K989. I have one and there fast durable and are a good drift car if you put drift tires on it
Love my slash but canât put it through that
Misery đ. Thanks for the awesome video Kev!
But they are built like a tanks lmfao. Replace the odd bit with rpm and mine survived a crash into a lamp post full speed lol all I had to do is put the tire back on and was working fine. I had a new brushless motor in there on a 2s battery aswell lmfao so wouldn't like to think how hard I hit the lmao post haha
Where did you get your vw beetle body? Ty love your channel
Love Traxxas Slashđđ
I was playing with my slash 4x4 ultimate in the rain same thing happened didnât know what to do so I kinda stopped with the hobby but when it was fixed i absolutely loved it now itâs broken broke his Traxxas arm so now Iâm going to be putting the rpm rear arm on it
Im 43 and actually what stalled me in hobby years ago the velinion esc woukd fry using in rain and close 200 to replace imagine that 170 just for esc i didnt really use computers and was raising kids so at time had take a break you guys dont know how easy cheap and accessible rc is now compared 15 yrs ago
Did those rubber shielded bearings ever blow out on the motor curious if you could use those kind of bearings because thatâs what I have as well and I feel the metal shield and bearings always fail on an Arrma Granite 3S
@kevintalbot how do you keep the bolts organised?
Sweet man. I wanna get myself a slash again đ
Excuse me i have a question can my e revo 1/16 vxl RC go to water and not die?
Got a little tip for u kev. The bearings that go in aluminum, use a dab of anti-sieze. So if it happens that they rusty up again like that, its not such a fight to get them out. Ive destroyed knuckles tryin to get bearings out. Steel on aluminum currodes (i know its not spelled right lol).
I use a long bristle paint brush works great on cleaning
I love the wrenching vids as much as the smash em ups. =D
Bash that body shell and get him to make you a lid for the shelf. But that body looks epic! Imagine what he would do with a shelf queen request.
Hey Kevin what are the part numbers for the diff housing bearings idk which ones they aređ€Ł
I love you so so much kev i have some rc cars and i have the xmaxx and some other traxxas
I am looking for cheap replacement parts for my VRX SCT, got any suggestions?
love rebuild vids
