  • On today's Down & Dirty, we're going to show you how to grade in Case's new machine, the Minotaur.
    Rick and I were able to get our hands on @CASE Construction Equipment 's newest machine, the DL550 Minotaur in order to do a review. Thanks to Southeaster Equipment out of Novi, Michigan for supplying the machine.
    For a high level overview of the machine, head over to @EquipmentWorld • Test Run of Case’s DL5...

    G'day again buddy :) very interesting little piece of equipment :) I can see where this becomes handier than a regular clam shell :) I have said in the past I'm a 4in1 guy and I do feel the 4 in one makes this achievable :) I honestly just love seeing new machinery and the jobs you show us it can do :) Loving the black case by the way! :)

      You could absolutely throw a 4in1 on this and be comfortable operating. I agree, the black is sexy!

      I love the look of this machine, I’m just confused as to the point of it?

      @@MrFatdaz it's a new machine class that bridges a gap between skid steers and full on dozers. You also get the versatility of a skid with all of the attachments

    Cool attachment. Thanks for the video bro

    still seems like a pointless machine you can do the same work with a regular skidsteer and a bucket

      he is in soft dirt. in rock and hard terrain the minotaur you cann see the difference

      As was stated below, we were in pretty soft soil conditions so we couldn't make this thing work the way it could've. It really pulls away from the skid steer market when you start putting it in some tougher soil conditions.

    This thing is soooo fukn nuts !!!! Be sweet to operate and check this out! Like any equipment i believe this has it's place and it's quite a versatile machine. So cool i think

    All old school operators look out over top of blade, you had to with the way dozens used to be made

    Anybody know the price of this machine? Ive not been able to find the msrp anywhere.

    Sure are alot of opinionated ppl that are mouth runners and
    💩 flows from. I think minotaur is a good concept and cutting grade with blade or bucket in hard earth will be faster and more precise with blade

    • @DieselandIron
      @DieselandIron  Před rokem

      Time will prove the concept. As more people get comfortable with the machine I think we will see some pretty impressive things from the Minotaur.

    What a silly tool that you need to dead reckon where the ground is. As if there isn’t a computer that can determine as little as a 1% grade based on the height of blade relative to tracks!

    • @DieselandIron
      @DieselandIron  Před rokem

      Spend some time in the dirt industry and you'll realize that computers aren't doing any of the grade work. There's a reason it is called the skilled trades.

    The pronunciation is like nails on a chalkboard. Big bug bear of mine.
    My-no-tour not a min-a-tar.

      I haven't heard it pronounced that way a single time in my life. Perhaps you have picked a tiny hill to die on 🤔
