I've loaded trucks for a few yrs with a loader. And being respectful to the drivers makes a lot of difference. Those drivers certainly don't like to be thrown from side-to-side when being loaded. I have made numerous friends/drivers for being a bit slower and respectful when loading them. I don't have as much experience on excavator, but on loaders I can do it. My dad taught me how to load trucks.
It's amazing how having a little bit of respect for others on the job goes so far. The trades need to be nicer to each other.

It is amazing how we take for granted the little things we do every day thinking it is common knowledge. I keep running into new guys that just don't know these things. Good tip and video.
Thanks Shane! I feel the same way. Sometimes the challenge is thinking like someone that hasn't been in the industry. I am just used to certain things being "common" knowledge.

Good advice I have a good one for you I think more people including myself ( I should be faster at) is how to use Architect/engineers ruler on blue prints for measuring plans 3/8s scale 1inch scale etc. and also if you ever come a across any new GPS rovers! if not keeping making good videos!
I'll have to see about the engineers ruler for prints. I don't know that I've ever had to do that in the field. As far as your rover goes, stay tuned. We will be making a whole series of GPS videos this winter.

Do a vid on when it is wet clay and big clumps and your machine starts to tip. My way is get the truck closer and if the driver whines send him on his way empty.
This is more of a "Why is this guy using a GP bucket to load trucks out of a stockpile of soft dirt?" sort of a question.
I think the answer is probably "This is American earthmoving and my machine does not have a quick hitch" - therefore changing buckets is a 10-20 minute affair.
You act like you've been on an American job site before...
Why you load the truck halve way?
You don't fill the truck to the brim. A properly loaded truck should have the load centered with a slope up from the front and down to the tailgate.
Truck drivers fault. Back him up more. Truck drivers never get it right.. always the drivers fault never the operator. Btw stretch out like that you could end up in the truck if your materials wet. Especially not loading over your toes. Tippy tippy
Standard GP bucket on it, he's also not loading the bucket right up either. He'll be right, the risk of tipping is pretty low with his set up and method.
