I think Federer, out of the other three guys, Federer can make you feel really bad, like he makes you want to leave the court. He can make things seem really quick and that the court's really small. Nadal and Djokovic, they allow you to play a little bit from the back and if you're not playing great, then you struggle, but Federer can really take it to you and get you off the court real quick."

This match and the following round where Federer lost to Millman was a classic illustration of what Chris Evert said at the 1989 US Open. That as you get older, inconsistency sets in. You can play brilliantly one day and then fall off a cliff the next. Evert had played brilliantly to crush Monica Seles 6-0, 6-2 and then fell to bits against Zina Garrison in the next round after being up two breaks in the first set. A bit like Federer being up a set and a break against Millman.

I like Federer, but these highlights are so biased it’s ridiculous! One point from Kyrgios is blatantly unfair...

Kyrgios played Federer defeated, because let’s be honest, Federer can break your spirit if you don’t humble yourself. I feel like Kyrgios only plays respectful with Federer. Either way, it’s almost as if Federer plays will Kyrgios like he’s practicing. Not sure Krygios can beat a Federer unless he was having an off day. Federer does give you a chance and is always steps ahead of you
