Summary: Diane suggests that Aaron should get counselling, but Chas doesn't get her hopes up. Chas and Carl argue about Aaron and she tips the dregs of a pint over him, but is rocked when he tells her that Aaron doesn't have much of a chance with a mum like her. Later, Chas goes to talk to Aaron at work and gets in the car with him. However, Aaron is angry and begins to drive recklessly. As he gets more emotional, Chas grabs the hand brake. Aaron loses control of the vehicle and the car swerves off the road into a ditch.

Chas saying it wasn't your fault. The jury can't be wrong. Aaron saying, "He'd still be here". broke my heart. Doesn't anybody get it, Jax was his first real love who really loved him. And Aaron loved him back. he has gone through life mother leaving him, father abusive, where is there love in that. For first time he felt genuine love. Now that love is gone. Aaron needs to realize that he is not at fault. Deep inside he didn't want to see Jax suffer anymore and with true love he felt for Jax, he did what was a final wish and act.
Ok, seriously, Chas is REALLY earning Mom points.
JordanJamesx Also I don't believe they went against any stereotype, they just showed being gay does not change who you are as a person. Its about time they make gay characters without it always being about their sexuality, like even when Aaron was with Jackson, it was more about the relationship aspect than the fact that they were both men, which is the beauty of openly gay characters and relationship storylines, it doesn't have to focus on it being a gay one cos its not in secret

JordanJamesx This storyline wasn't about his sexuality or his image. It actually is realistic because people who are both grieving and guilt tripping at the same time do act like that when people keep getting on their case, it shows that sometimes maybe you should leave well alone. Everytime he did a stunt like this in that period of Emmerdale was because no one would leave him be, if Chas hadn't got in the car in the first place, or Cain hadn't stopped him getting back out of it, he wouldn't have flipped out. The whole point of storylines like that is awareness, ok some scenes might seem way too over-dramatic but ya never know you could find yourself in that same position with a loved one. Just look at the Little Mo and Trevor storyline from Eastenders, that was dramatic but so realistic, and had something in common with this, she, like Aaron in this, tried to bottle it all up and even hide it, and lashed out and drove people away before they twigged it

@JordanjamesX the Emmerdale character Aaron has ALWAYS been a macho hard man. Even before he came out as straight. Aaron Livesy was portrayed by Danny Webb in 2003 to 2006 and had early signs of bad boy.

these story lines are too violent,they take away from his could be charm too negaitive he showed he is impossible. I love aaron and adam not enough love mostly fighting,want to see the whole series but have to skip past the rediculas parts try to watch this before bed time but to upsetting take some violence out let him have a relationship

I know soap operas are not supposed to be realistic but Aaron behavior is so far beyond unrealistic . Aaron's most unattractive behavior is when he tries to make himself a martyr. He lashes out and justifies it by saying that it's what everyone else expects him to do. He is so crazy and rebellious that it's sad to watch him go down this road. It's time for the writer's to bring Jackson back in the form of an angel who tells Aaron to move on with his life and be happy.

@JordanjamesX I think it is, I don't think his behaviur has anything to do with him being gay, it seems to be in the Dingel genes to be a bad guy, look at Cain he is the worst on. It's realistic that a self destructive person behaves this way. Usually gay men a portrayed as dramatic, femenine etc they has a gay character like that before,now there portraying a gay man in another way a tough manly works with his hands kind of guy..
I don't blame Carl for saying what he did to Chas, she shouldn't dish it out if she can't take it, it's so obvious that Carl didn't call the police b/c he's still in love with Chas.
Right now Aaron is a menace, they should call the police on him, the authorities can force him into counseling and maybe it would do him good to go prison for a while it might scare him straight.
I think Chas could take Aaron. I would hate to have her take a shot at me:)

@JordanjamesX Am going out with a guy that looks and acts straight, you would not know he was gay unless he told you, I dont like how people stereo type gays to be like all the openly loud and proud ones that you see over tv and everywhere, in some ways thats what keeps more guys in the closet.

@Merima1978 It is not realistic it seems to me the writers are trying really hard to challenge the gay male stereotype. So the writers are writing Aaron as this macho kind of man to go against the grain of how a gay man is supposed to act. Aaron just comes across as a crazy thug there is no sympathy I have for his character.

@rksu747 I think it's very realistic, Aaron is a selfdestructive person imo and he is a Dingel they are all more or less thugs even Belle is starting to do shady things.
I just don't have any sympathy for Aaron the writers of this storyline are doing a terrible job. Aaron comes across as just a dirty thug and a criminal. I just don't like Aaron anymore and I just think the writers seem to be trying very hard to go against the so called stereotype about gay men. This whole macho Aaron is a bit over the edge it just seems like bad writing to me.
