    Summary: Chas tries to talk to Aaron about the break-in but gets nowhere. Aaron is then left conflicted when Hazel brings Jackson's things for him to look through. Later, he is sent home from work, unable to do his job as he has a cut hand. As the day continues, Chas finds Aaron running scalding water over his cut hand and it's clear that he wants to hurt himself even more. In the pub, Carl tries to wind Aaron up about the burglary by threatening to call the police, and Aaron is tipped over the edge. The ensuing argument results Aaron trying to grab Diane. and Hazel slapping Aaron around the face when he pronounces them both murderers. Once the working day is over, Diane tells Chas that she must take control of Aaron but softens towards her when Chas breaks down in tears.

    It's interesting to see how chas has learnt to understand Aaron's behaviour. Her and Rob understand that if he's acting up then something's wrong.

    This is the first time that i've seen such a realistic storyline. When other shows discuss self-harm it always magically resolves itself in a day or week or so. But this time it is ectually close to reality. The continuing battle of self-destruction and self-harm is really well told! This of course wouldn't have been able without the brilliant acting of Danny Miller!! Amazing and breaks my heart everytime I see it!

      janiemanie yup totally thinking the same. Danny portrays it so incredibly well!! And the writers did a great job as well!

    Aaron is consumed by pain and guilt and he doesn't know what to do other than lash out at everybody. When he screamed "I don't need your help!" it's obvious how desperate and alone he was feeling. My heart went out to Chas at the end of the episode aswell - she was frightened for her son and she felt helpless.

    and there begins the self harm, so saddening to watch, he's even neglecting himself of jacksons stuff and his mothers love.

    This is why Chas should have never pushed Paddy out of Aaron's life. With Paddy's calming influence, Chas would have help with Aaron.

    Amazing acting from the incredible Danny Miller and Lucy Pargeter once again!! It had me in tears, their acting is so believeable and emotional. They have real raw talent for acting and Emmerdale deserves more recognition for what they do, especially with actors as great as Danny and Lucy. xxx

    Aaron wanted to go to prison. You could see it on his face when the jury said not guilty. He feels as though he did murder Jackson, regardless the fact that Jackson begged him and hazel to do it.

    The look between Chas and Aaron when Carl came in and Diane inquired about the break in. Aaron lashing out at everyone and saying, "I don't need anyone's help, tells me he really needs help. He is screaming for help but everyone is oblivious to the true matter of help. Hazel slapping him, he deserved it. He just can't get past what he had done to Jax. Hazel is trying to move on in a healthy way. But Aaron's way is so destructive that I wish I was there to help. Hot water on the wound which one can tell is infected. Noticed he had an Ace Bandage on. His guilt is so overwhelming that it breaks my heart.

    It's sad watching how one person's unfortunate circumstances really can affect an entire village. I can't imagine the complexity involved in trying to help someone like Aaron out; I'm sure it almost seems an impossibility. I do hope that Emmerdale doesn't recycle this exact story about 5 times over though. Sometimes they have a tendency to stay stuck in a certain story for entirely too long. As long as they can keep it fresh and moving, I won't complain!

    Omg what intense and sad episode.Aaron is out of control his blaming himself he wants to harm himself.He wants to go to jail.I feel really sad for him.Aaron yelling i don't need anybody help i can feel his pain.Hazel slapping ouch he deserved it.Chas i want to give her a hug she trying but she needs to try harder.

  • @jwsm2
    @jwsm2 Před 13 lety +1

    Lesley wrote a great episode.Brilliant acting all round.I thought after Aaron was found not guilty it wouldn't be so intense but his behaviour is so out of control.I feel for Aaron but being short with everybody especially Hazel is gonna lead to trouble for him.Thinking he murdered Jackson and deserves to be punished is clearly a job for a conselor or mental heath professional.getting Aaron to agree with that is going to be the challenge.

    So, everybody ignored what they perceived with Jackson's depression, they all ignored Aaron's conflicts and he tried to kill himself and now they are all avoiding and ignoring Aaron again saying the same stupid robotic things rather than recognise he is in trouble. In reality he would try again to top himself. What the stupid writers will do is anybody's guess.

    @genevievewyatt Před 13 lety +1

    I said it about Aaron is head back toward committing suicide again. The self-harm is the start of this journey that will end up with him back in the hospital or possible killing himself. However, Danny Miller is very popular, so they wouldn't killed him off. I predict that he will eventually attempt suicide again because he will conclude the only one to stop the turmoil inside him. People/ the Village need to band together or the Dingles Family are needed to support Aaron.

    re-watching in July 2017 while Aaron/Robert on a break from show (again ffs). So this is the start of Aarons self harming, which has been ongoing upto 2017. Such a great young actor, shame he is stuck in this show, if he had lines in EVERY ep, like some of the 'oldies', would be fine, but they write him a few lines 1-2 ep a week, then write him out for weeks - madness - he keeps the show on air, 1,000's of gay men watch this show just for Aaron, a brilliant str8 actor who deserves better.

    jackson was selfish

    • @infinitesprings
      @infinitesprings Před 8 lety

      Yeah he was, but not because he committed suicide, or wanted to! Because he forced Aaron and Hazel to help him! Because out of all the things he planned out for the suicide, he didn't think to try to come up with a way that he could do it without having either Aaron or Hazel shoving a drink down his throat, thereby putting one of them in the line of fire and having the death of someone they love on their conscious for the rest of their lives! He didn't let Aaron go, but instead dragged a 19 year old kid, who he claimed to love, into this! Worse, he begged that 19 year old kid and his mother to kill him, and allowed him to do so! He didn't give a damn how this was going to affect Aaron and Hazel psychologically! It was all about what he wanted, all about him! What he did to Aaron and his mother isn't love! I didn't see love for them in anything he did except maybe making those recordings so they don't get sent away to prison! But where was the concern or consideration for them when he was planning the suicide? Why didn't he ever consider things as simple as maybe a table to sit the drink on so neither Aaron or Hazel would have had to force it down his throat! Or some other way so neither one would be directly responsible for his death! So neither would have that in their heads for as long as they live! It was bad enough he was making them watch his death, but to be directly responsible for it! Where was the love for them there?

    @simbaqueen I feel really bad for Chaz. She is trying so hard as a mother to support Aaron even while he's being so insufferable. I am not sure if I would be as patient as Paddy and now Chaz have been with Aaron leading up to his relationship with Jackson and since Jackson's death.
    Aaron definitely needs professional psychological help to process all he's been through with Jackson's assisted suicide. He's attacking even Hazel now.

  • @lionjake72
    @lionjake72 Před 13 lety

    Oh Aaron what are you doing to yourself and to us... haven't you (and we) suffered enough?
    I feel sorry for Chas, she absolutely needs to get Paddy back on board, as it's obvious that she can't handle the situation on her own. And where is Adam? Aaron could really need him right now.

  • @dipsyhappy
    @dipsyhappy Před 13 lety

    @BoysLovingBoys The thing is, I think, he wants to go to prison, that's why he acted the way he did doing the trial, he wants to go to prison for Jackson's death, and since he wasn't convicted of murder he is trying to find a way to go to prison which is also why he keeps saying Carl should call the police, and of course he has a lot of anger built up towards Jackson, himself and Hazel, and it is now getting out on everyone

    I actually feel sorry for Chaz she is trying hard to help for her son Aaron but he just is trying to be so macho. Obviously Aaron is really hurting that Jackson died I blame Hazel for this! It is Hazel's fault because she should have known that Aaron was just a teenager. The whole assisted suicide plot is just so depressing.

  • @sanyrub
    @sanyrub Před 13 lety

    @Demetri450 I keep on not getting it then. Supposing you are refering at the time these people dedicate to their work to do it better: for example the 3 actors clearly said they were given more time than they ever had before to film the assisted suicide scenes. Or the crash episode. Do you think there were not much time spent on doing the great scripts for that single episode? Anyway it´s ok, it´s your opinion :)

    Nice job, carl. You wanna call the cops, call the damn cops. Don't poke at an emotionally traumatized and unstable Aaron. Maybe someone should plant you under a train and let it run you over. This storyline is really beginning to concern me. I don't like where it's headed. It's very real and painfully truthful, but at it's current state it's headed only in one direction, and that worries me.
