    I spent 8 hours trying to unclog my sink.I plunged till two plungers broke.I used Drano and still nothing.I rented a snake but that didn't work.I bought my own snake but that didn't work either.I removed the drain plug from the bottom of the trap that flooded my cupboards and kitchen floor.I put the snake from the bottom and hit something solid.I have to wait until after Christmas for a plumber.
    A word of caution.I burnt my hands from the Drano so make sure you wear rubber gloves when working with caustic material.

    Thank you for this video! It totally worked. I had my husband hold the block in place on the right side and I plunged the left side. Worked perfect even though the sink being plunged was filled with water so it took a bit longer. Bottom line this ABSOLUTELY WORKED!! Thank you!!

    Thank you a million times! I tried baking soda & vinegar! Hot boiling water after it drained some plunging & plunging & plugging for 30 minutes straight! I also did bleach. NOTHING worked until I did this. Within 6 plunges BAM! I could hear it draining. Thank you!

  • @anneweprin
    @anneweprin Před 4 lety +1

    Brilliant! I'd tried other things (baking soda/vinegar; plastic snake; leaving it overnight to work by magic?). My garbage disposal with adjacent sink was just as you described; clean and clogged. I tried one plunger from bathroom (eww) and it didn't work. Knowing not all plungers are alike, I grabbed a different bathroom plunger that actually had never been used (yay). It took, maybe, 2 sets of the 5 plunges (your plunger had a better seal around the sink I think) and then YAY! It was cleared. Thank you for posting. and having a great title that made it easy to search; and without the ads. I had found another before yours but it was going to have 1 min of ads so I saw yours and the picture and 5 seconds grabbed my attention; combined with a relatively short video time. Thank you thank you!

    Thank you so much for this!!! Lord!
    The ONLY thing I want to add is once I plunged, the water came up my dishwasher line. I cleaned up the water and had to use a clamp on the hose and that worked!
    Thank you, truly appreciate it !

    Omg! You are a lifesaver! I tried everything from Drano to baking soda and vinegar, taken p trap apart, shoved snake all the way into wall, and nothing happened, poured boiling water and dish detergent and still clogged,
    After watching this video problem solved, The only reason a plunger didn't work is because water would simply go to the other side!
    A plumber knows how simple the solution is but they just do it the hard way because they are in business to make 💰

    One thing I noticed while growing up was most people always wanted to run cold water down the drain when they were doing something. Hot water helps to melt grease! Think about it. When my mom would burn something in a pot the first thing she would do was put cold water in it to soak. I don't recall how many times I tried explaining it was better to put hot water in the pot, pan. I'll wash vegetables in cold water and then run hot water afterwards. I grew up in the 1960's and learned how to listen to the plumbing so you could be proactive especially if you have an old house.
