He absolutely should, but as we've seen since Jan 6/21 the ENTIRE System is disinclined to treat any Former member of the upper echelon - of EITHER Party, as if they were regular Citizens, and in some ways they aren't. BUT, that isn't what the defenders of the US Justice System tell us - they CLAIM that America has a Single Tiered Legal System, and that EVERYBODY is equal under the Law - which is not only pure BS, but it is a conscious and self-serving lie ...
Because half the country supports him. They can’t treat him like the rest of us and he knows it.
But Donald Trump, of course, is different. He can't be prosecuted now because he's running for president. He couldn't be charged while he was in office because the Justice Department has a policy against indicting a sitting president. He couldn't be charged before he was elected because the offenses he'd already committed by then were being covered up, and besides, there were Hillary Clinton's emails to focus on. Apparently, Trump simply isn't supposed to be held responsible for anything.
I just want this all to be over so I can get back to my democracy.

These lower corporate taxes are possible because the "taxpayers" (the average people who work their entire life & pay a generous percentage of their income to taxes) subsidize the corporations. The corporations do not then turn around & pass any of those savings to their employees (who are paying the corporate subsidies). There are people above the law. If you are a presidental nominee, you're treated different than anybody else. That's really mindboggling injust.

If you become a nominee, and are then accused of a crime, that would seem kind of fishy. But if the crime was committed 8 years ago, and you have been skating on it and other crimes every since, you shouldn't be allowed to run for office until you have cleared your name. He isn't making any bones about the fact that his campaign is about ducking responsibility for all the things he has already done.
The simple reality is that certain people get treated differently, for a variety of reasons. Women often get prefferential treatment in the justice system, especially if they are a mother of a young child, in many ways that is injust, but we live in a reality where women are generally the primary carer of their children and the damage done to those children by their mother being in jail while the grow up might be worse than the damage done by giving the woman a lenient sentence.
Reality is complex, it's all shades of grey and nuance. As much as we should strive for justice to be equal for all, it never will be, especially in a country that allows politicians and voters to decide who is in charge of prosecuting criminals and judging their crimes. Reality is that anyone who was appointed to their job by a democrat or voted in as a democrat has to tread extra lightly and be 200% sure they've nailed him, or else the other side can just claim it's a political witch hunt.
If this was happening in the UK, Trump wouldn't be getting anywhere near the kid glove treatment he gets in the USA, because our prosecutors and judges are selected on merit, by independent bodies, not politicians, so the other side can't argue it's political.
And the stupidest thing I've ever heard. The idea is to facilitate honorable, qualified candidates to run, not pick ones who have to be shielded from prosecution in order to run.
I don't believe there were "thousands and thousands" of employees at Trump Organization. It was a relatively small family business. Maybe 50 full-time employees tops?

The Judge is not advising the Defence of the witness list in advance, which is not standard practice. If you have followed the proceedings, the judge is over ruling the Defence like 20 to 1. The Judge has selected Wednesdays not to hold court, normally it’s Friday, which would allow Trump three days to campaign is other states. All these indicate the Judge has a biased.

Disbarment typically comes after all that. Show where a complaint has been made to any of those bodies and we can discuss the merits.
@@joelkevinjones- The judge should have recused himself after it was shown his daughter raised at least $93 million in democrat campaign donations, and used this case in her solicitation emails, raising concerns that the jurist has a major conflict of interest. Plus he's a Biden donor. And not allowing a change of venue. He rejected all those filings. If convicted, it'll be thrown out on appeal anyway.
This trial has really been impressive and it won’t matter if he is found guilty because the fascism must go on. The people who support and protect Trump will do what they can and the “base” of hate will ram him through too.
