Yes, I couldn't care less what people think, I did once but not anymore and this is the best way to be. I have more energy and am much fitter than many who are 30 years younger than myself. Many are very lazy and overweight nodays - infact in Australia it's become more common to be unhealthy and unfit. Society here at least is in a real mess in my opinion - never seen it so bad, unhealthy and sick people are everywhere.

      Don't let another person rule your life, deminish your worth as a human being. Learn to be alone and enable yourself to make the right choices in committing to a relationship of equals. Have the strength to leave a bad situation. Don't try to control or be controlled by another. Be self sufficient. Don't bring children into your life selfishly on a whim to satisfy hormonal urges, or to give and receive love and affection. Think of the bigger picture re that child's future prospects in an uncertain world. You won't always be around.

She was saying what she thought people liked to hear. Knowing Indian culture, I highly doubt that she raised her two sons to "do whatever they want to do." I really wanted to hear from her husband. She took the lead in answering and he let her, but his body language showed that he did not agree with her.

    Getting "degrees" in school is a good way to show validation from society. It gives society/culture assurance that you are competent. But ironically, depending too much on society's validations is also a lack of strength and courage from an individual level. I didn't really wanted to get married. Studied up to 31. But no one told me, that one day the instinct to have children will become so strong! It will not ask you, do you want become a mother or not. When this instinct will decide you will be getting crazy, not that much to be married, but to reproduce. Another thing, and I am telling my daughter now: give birth to all your children as young as you can. Because after 30 body won't be so flexible anymore, and the birth of a child will come at a great cost of your health. The birth traumas eventually will lead to prolapse of woman's inner organs, which mean your uterus will be falling out of you. No one telling this to all late birthers out their. So, everything is good at it's own, established by nature time. And people never will oversmart it.

    • @virginiamoss7045
      @virginiamoss7045 Před 5 měsíci +1

      @@keithmeadchina Birth trauma does it's damage even early in life, it's just not so noticeable until later in life. The younger you are the more likely you will have those ugly stretch marks because the skin is so tight. At age 38 my daughter had no stretch marks at all because her skin was aging and looser. Most of all, an older and wiser person is a much better parent though lacking in the full energy required while they are little. The ideal time for pregnancy and birth is early thirties, but that is the very prime of life when a career is strongest so it's hard to put that aside to dedicate yourself to children. And if you are not going to put your children absolutely first in your life, then you don't need to be having children.

      The funny thing is that often when you constantly worry (or pay attention) about a certain outcome , can you achieve that outcome. One needs to be laser focused. I think that you did real well to be able to retire at 53. You obviously paid excessive attention to your finances (amongst others) and that lead to an early retirement. Now you just need to enjoy it, since it is such a privilege to be able to retire so young. I retired at 58. Wish I could do it sooner.

I had a ruptured appendix and 3 days away from dying, after 16 days and 3 operations I walked out of the hospital a completely changed person. While in my hospital bed I saw things, I was shown things from a spiritual level. We are all spirits having a human experience. Our jobs, education, money and objects are not important, those are the wants of the ego, it's the human experiences we came for. And as humans we cannot fathom how powerful we really are, we're too deep in a sleep to remember who we really are, we'll remember on our departure day when we go back to where we came from.

When you relocated to another state you were doing more, and having more fun. You never should let your family (parents other relatives) pressure you to resign from a job you loved, you had more happiness got to meet more people, people that valued you, wanted you around and wanted to help you level up with them. You would have been pleased with what you accomplished and you would be very successful. I am not even in my mid 40s, still with regrets, I never listened to my instincts, next year, I am going to trust my instincts more. This includes taking more risks and learning from them. I don't care what my family says anymore. I am not living my life as I should and I know that. I want to regret nothing in my elder years, even the negative risks I will take. @@Neesha242 Regarding government involvement in male/female relationships, there is a need in society to protect children which, until the 1960s, was the natural and unavoidable result of adult relationships. Government needs to know who to make responsible for these children. Today it's still necessary, but there are plenty of laws to protect children without marriage (paternity testing); essentially, there is no real reason for marriage. No one has to marry, but if they legally marry they are committing to the government's contract with them regarding the responsibilities of the two partners, mostly financial. Couples can instead make their own contract that is legally binding or take risks and have no contract if they feel they can totally trust each other. The latter rarely happens. You can live your life the way you want; it's up to you to have enough confidence in yourself to do so without anger towards anyone's opinion.

      @@SprouhtGenetics. I am 66 and my husband is 69. We have 80 acres, grow our own food, have our own beehives, harvest maple syrup etc. Our body weight is low, we get lots of exercise and guess what? The only health problems we have mirror our individual parents. Arthritis, kidney stones and diverticulitis. Thought we could beat that but genetics trumps all.

    Best advice in my advancing years….
    submit wholly to God as a child and
    obey Him continually.

    The woman with the white hair said it in a nutshell. What was right for her was right for her. As no one can apply her ways to their spirit to mimic. Listening to your gut (aka guidance......especially when and if you're up for consistency that isn't driven by stupidity and arrogance) ......as good guidance will never steer you wrong.

    My advice is be VERY careful who you marry and have kids with. When you divorce, it can really ruin you if you divorce in your later years. My advice to modern marriage is, DO NOT GET MARRIED!! For you sensitive people, its just my opinion, and the reality.👍
