I have the exact same Master Sword specified in the story. It's from Katana Kult and is advertised as a fidget toy, with the spring-loaded release from the sheath. It's completely harmless. Wild that a man's been locked up for carrying it.

The prices might be ridiculous, but I think it's totally justified to have that in a completely free to play game. I'm glad we're at the point where we have so many big budget high quality free games to choose from.

Maybe it's an age thing (I was born in 85), and/or it's how my brain is wired, but I have a really hard time engaging with other media while playing viedo games. I guess maybe I've done it with Power Wash Simulator or Rocket League, but the idea of watching a TV show while playing a looter shooter sounds so foreign to me. But hey, if that's what pickles your veg, then live your life.

Out of all the movie and tv announcements that Ubisoft made over the past 5 years I'm surprised that Watch Dogs is the first one to actually start to get filmed. What happened to the Assassin Creed show or The Division movie they were the first projects that Ubisoft announced like 5 years ago or something.

Someone needs to inform Tim Gettys that mouthwash exists. If you brushed before teeth before bed then when you immediately wake up there isn't food trapped in your teeth. Just use mouthwash if you don't have trapped food to rid of.

I'm really enjoying the game, early days so far, and looking forward to playing it more at the weekend, if the servers hold up of course.
You shouldn't brush your teeth right after you eat... eating changes the pH in your mouth, and if you brush right after, it literally breaks down your enamel - which is what you want to keep.
If you need to brush within 30 min of having eaten, you should rinse your mouth out with water really well first.

I played for about 5 hours
It’s fun but overall very mid. Doesn’t do anything better than Destiny or Warframe but tries very hard to be both
There are some egregious microtransactions, but nothing we haven't already seen. Overwatch 2 is far worse imo. Call of duty as well.
Also, I've put about 4 hours into it so far, and have unlocked 2 additional descendants for free. Even the 60 dollar ultimate skins are unlockable for free, albeit a grind, but free nonetheless.
Paying for inventory slots is inexcusable though.

First impressions after playing 6hrs of The First Descendant.
Pros: Fun gameplay and great character design and their unique abilities.
Cons: everything else! The grind to unlock other characters you want to play as suck sooo much.
I see this game dropping off hard here in the west but might be big in Asian markets.
Every time I see the first descendant, it's just so glaringly obvious to me that this game has no character diversity. I really wish that we could acknowledge this more as gamers but every character in this game is White and Western looking... Why? Can we get characters that look a little bit more like the rest of the world with some different skin tones and backgrounds and ethnicities? It's really not that hard to do that. Just takes effort. I wish that we could call out the lack of effort from these studios more.

Brushing your teeth before breakfast is insane. It’s kind of pointless. You brush then eat and get stuff on your teeth anyways. Plus the mint over powers anything you eat.

I love Mike but I don't find his obsession with in-game purchases to be cute or endearing. I find it to be fucking egregious, and I'm tired of the crew acting like it's some silly trait. Again, I love Mike, but he's a huge part of the problem. I wish he would stop acting like it's some cute little thing he's doing especially when yall constantly talk about the corporate greed in the industry and Mike just brags about feeding into it
I felt that asian gotcha/microtransaction feel on playing The First Transcendent being from Nexon. It is free to play but sucks everything is behind a paywall. My issue is I'm like Mike I like look cool in MMO games 😂😂😂
... Look I get it's just a throw away comment, but what IS the issue with maid outfits? Like that's such a silly thing to take issue with, like YES some people are weird about it, but some people also just like dressing up their chatters in cute outfits.

These two and their political bs. Greg and Tim are the poster children of American kids spoiled with freedom living in America. As a European living in Texas I enjoy the fact I can protect my family without apologizing.
It needs some heavy optimization that’s for sure, but it has potential, aside from the sexy female characters (take note western developers) it plays a lot like Warframe with some Destiny. Personally I was hoping it had some Anthem elements.

The main concern of most of the artist who are opposed to generative AI is not copy right stuff. Those people don't want to improve. They want to same job over and over. And AI giving them to pressure to improve. They don't want to make that effort to be better at their job. And they know that AI and people who embraced AI will make them irrelevant in the future.
AI is literally just doing the same thing that has been done mixed with other things that have already been done mixed in. AI can’t create something wholly original.
tell me you're not an artist without telling me you're not an artist. all serious and professional artists are constantly working to imrpove their craft their entire careers. even most hobby artists strive to improve with each new work they create. the only "pressure to improve" coming from generative AI is the demand for shittier art to be shat out faster to satisfy the corpo lines going up. machines can take a million shits a minute. humans cannot.
