Pro tip from one who is addicted to these things: go to settings and change the speed to 0.75%. Not only is it more relaxing while laying down to listen, but also your favorite stories last 1/4th longer!

An entertaining story, but the timescales were all wrong. The seconds the scientists took to attempt a rescue would have lasted generations for the hydronaughts.

What did they use to build their ships, and cities etc? Also, they have multiple generations per second. By the time their ship was spotted, and original guy finished telling the second guy about it, they would have been dead a couple of centuries!!

I think the outstanding and amazing
story plot was "The Humans" was sizes
    miniature as floating organisms,
explodes the truth in the middle part
    of the novel.
    Otherwise, existed many refutes,
such as: how can" The Humans"
can read the metal plate, unless
they were genetic settings by our
    Earth scientists, in the beginning.

Except that it was the godless Eurasians who developed the scientific mechanisms to preserve life. And if you believe in a god that designed and created the universe, it was that god who is responsible for the destruction of the earth.

I agree that the radio adaptation is vastly inferior to the original short story. First, the notion that shrinking life to submicroscopic size would speed up life cycles millions of times is nonsensical. No where in nature has anything like that been oberved. Microscopic tardigrades, or water bears, for example, have been observed to have remarkably long life cycles. Second, the adaptation argues that although life on earth cannot be preserved past a two week period of common time, it will be some kind of moral victory that the reduced life will have experienced millions of generations in that two week period. The original story concerned perserving life so that it could continue indefintely, continue to explore, and continue to advance and develop. It's an inspiring story about human ingenuity overcoming immense odds. The adaptation turns that story into an exercise in futility.
