I try to make multiple videos on every sewing machine I own.
Including a long video with practical tips & tricks AND general info on that specific Singer.
But also a video on the threading path, how to wind a bobbin, and this video on oiling an maintaining your vintage Singer sewing machine.
It is vital to oil your Singer. Yes, they are almost unbreakable. But you want a smooth running machine.
Apply sewing machine oil to everything metal on metal that hinges or moves.
DO NOT USE WD40!

I oiled my tension disks FUNNY I used my Singer 306 that is in a table and was having issues sewing ;-) My machine is in a table on its side and oil had migrated through to the tension disks from the head area, spent a bit of time flossing the disks with a J-cloth.
I do have a couple of 319 machines. One of the 319 machines has a FANCY BASE there is a rod that swivels out at the back to stop the machine tipping over and it has a 3rd hinge inside side on the right that locks the bed at the tilt angle when changing the bobbins.
Great video
Hi thank you so much for watching and your comment.
Good thing was to flos the tension discs. Well done! (It is always a good idea to do that to any 'new' sewing machine btw.)
You have multiple 319's?! Amazing. Ive never heared/have never seen a machine as yours with that rod on the outside. [I wil browse the Singer Swing Machine (306/319) group on FB later today to find photos of such a 319.]
Mine as the extra hinge on the inside too, locking the 319 to prevent it tipping over.
Thank you so much for sharing!
Take care
