    Great video, thank you.
Does the needle not thread from left to right though?

Hi Yvonne! Catching up on some comments I missed. Hope all is well!
Was it left to right? Try it both ways! Lol! Thanks, have fun!

That's a great question Yvonne! Left to right, hmmm. Any good Sewist (even though I don't sew yet), will know already. I would check with Andy Tube or Sewing Machine Rehab yvonne. Actually, I think I may have threaded it it correctly in the other video!
Thanks for being her Yvonne. It is 5:17am, Friday 8 December, 2023.
Sincerely though, thank you! Have an awesome time Yvonne: I will too! 👍✌

Thanks for your prompt response- over the pond it is 10.27 on Friday 8th December.
I am new to vintage machines, so made the mistake of putting the needle in wrong etc, thank goodness for you tube and the great people - like yourself - who take the time and trouble to explain it so well

I lived in London, England until 1964! I do think it is right to left but I will check. What kind of sewing machine do you have? A 201? I like 201's! I have one of each. A 201-3 which has the motor mounted on the back and has a belt to power the machine; and a 201-2 with the direct drive potted motor. And I like your name too! There are a lot of lovely Yvonne's here in Montreal, Canada!

      @@JebbAdams, I have a 201k, and a 99k, also a Necchi Lelia (a bit like biscuits - impossible to have just 1!)
I am still in the process of cleaning and oiling the Singers, but they run so smooth already.
I like how they are heavy duty and relatively straightforward .
      The potted motor sounds interesting.
My 99k has had a new motor at some point, it is also knee operated which is intriguing, the only downside is no reverse for backstitching - so that's where the 201 will be useful.
You have a cool name too - is it short for Jebbediah?

Thanks Yvonne! I have tried to buy a 99 4 times! And they are everywhere! All 4 times something prevented a purchase! It was one of life's funny times.
But yes; a direct drive machine is strong; but so is the belt driven motor. Those are 3 awesome machines you have there!

Sorry Jebb, I owe you an apology - you had threaded it correctly , I thought that it was left to right, but that was on the Necchi, not the Singer , sometimes the brain doesn't work right 😏
