Yup, even Chinese swords can be made in USA too, so what? You see, I chop and slice, the stuff cut in pieces, what is it "fake" when it can do the job like that eh?
Your hand is a sword!

Chinese sword? Bruhhhh moment
Shouldn't the good chinese swords be made by people that know how to make them
Guy when using Katana: sometimes barely cuts rolled newspaper in half
Guy when using karate chop: *breaks a cutting board in half effortlessly*
Okay,so i watched the test of the katana and I was like okay just a regular guy cutting with a katana and then he just blew the f***ing cutting board in half and I was like HOLY S**T !!!

I like this guy he's obviously having fun. I have one of those swords and they retail around £70 in Britain- that's if you can still get one. I've had mine for quite a few years and got it before all the nanny state interference on edged weapons.
Thanks for the compliment and watching!
You can still own them in the UK so-long as they are manufactured using traditional methods.
@@rtz538 what why? Whats the other methods of making SWORDS that You can't own?
They are still legal to own in the UK. I have a few.
Is it entez katana

you have a great sense of humor and I like how you bust scams.one thing I hate more than anything in the world is a liar and thanks for the vids and I hope you put lots of more on.i love them.
Thanks! if you have $400 budget, you can go with Cold Steel Warrior Katana, it's about $330-$350 range and it's ultra tough, you can youtube their video for the promo video and see their proof, you can't even destroy the sword no matter what you do, it's too tough, haha! I trust Cold Steel for hard use stuff, that's why I buy all their Chinese swords too, haha!
This guy gives me good vibes and i just really appreciate you for making this!
You need better control of your Katana. You should be able to cut those rolls without slamming the blade off the chopping board with so much force that it bounces back at you. You're going to destroy the blade and cause it to lose an edge very quickly.
BloodstainedSinner *tips fedora*
Owned that chopping board at the end! Like a BOUSSS !!!!

Chiinnature , i would like to speak as the audience here , please ignore any Dumb comments That claim Your Katana is not worth a real one . Please forgive their Pathetic way to judge things , Some people are really really not worth talking to . Just the fact that you care to make a video showcasing a Katana, shows that you care about us just as much as you do about yourself . Thank you ( i would like to get the mesurments of this katana , How thick the handle is , how thick the blade is , the Length of the blade alone , the Length Handle alone , and its weight ) And thank you again :D
sorry dude I don't use your videos for as review or information I watch your videos because you are super funny especially when you are cutting stuff lol
Just a tip. When cutting with a Katana you want to step forward as you swing down

oh I thought he was swinging an axe with those movements
actually, there is very little difference. I highly doubt any sword would cut that board across the grain like that. The resistance to a sword cutting through something does not really come from the edge; it comes from having to force the whole sword through the object. Two swords of the same shape and weight will pretty much perform the same in most cutting tests, regardless of cost, edge-sharpness or the quality of the steel.
I just ordered a Katana from corner cutlery. My friend has a couple wooden swords and practice stances and how to position the blades through kendo videos. This woke up the sleeping samurai in me and I ordered a real Katana. I won't use it in real life situations but its going to be cool to stare at and admire...
Its a Masahiro Folded Steel Samurai Sword. You can find it on amazon in this link: www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B007998X4K/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1459184848&sr=8-1&pi=SY200_QL40&keywords=Masahiro+-+Folded+Steel+Samurai+Sword&dpPl=1&dpID=51idG0FomoL&ref=plSrch

A katana is not an axe!
It's made for cutting. You should have placed the paper rolls on the edge of the board, so you can cut them without the need to hit the board
Chiinnature i just ordered this sword, anx im very grateful for your demenstration. Thanks man, you rock
brokennedy1 Thanks for watching!~ hope you like the sword! Remember no hard targets like tin cans and bamboos! :)
Chiinnature sure thing. Can it cut the box like your thunder god katana? And, how long did yours take to get to you. Thanks alot

katanas are not meant to chop like chinese swords.... they're primarily slashes
UltimateBoo L-O-L...I don't think you already used a shinken guy ;)
+Geoffrey Loicq He's right, you use a katana to slash objects. The only place the katana should make contact with is the target and nothing else. Also you're supposed to use the front portion of a katana because traditionally it is the only sharp part.
+Geoffrey Loicq katanas are mainly slash type weapons. chinese swords however were designed to stab/lunge. these are their main style of combat. granted u can stab/lunge/chop with a katana but that is not how u use it to its full potential. neither was it designed for that purpose.
UltimateBoo : I'm not speaking about slashing or stabbing. Just your moves are so random that a 4yo kid could do the same.
I'm a Ninjutsu practitionner and I can tell you one thing : you can NOT use it properly.
+Geoffrey Loicq how often do you use a Shinken in ninjutsu?
Great video, I like your channel! :D
yeah man, that's the one! hahaha! Thanks for supporting the vid man!
Poor cutting board ;-;

Ferroll Givens 😂😂😂
Ferroll Givens Omg thats not it READ it, he says a real katana would cost that much smh.
You are an idiot, the link takes you to Amazon where the sword is for sale.
I love reading people comments. I just can't help myself. It's like an addiction. So in honour of those comments that I have read, I have decided to write my own comment. And it's all for you. The end.
Excellent, nice one mate.
Herman,
Great review, nice blade for the price! thanks for showing it to us!
Thanks my friend!! You will enjoy yours soon!
that punch at the end would have been cooler if you broke the table
+CJ Chaump (CherryBomb2000) He wasn't "trying". :3
you cut with the upper section of the sword not the middle. The upper part has the most velocity.
True
Baby Inuyasha its not about velocity its called the center of percussion. And it's usually starts at about 1/4 - 1/3 down the blade for curved swords and closer to the centre on straight swords. Also it's a push/pull blade and not chopper.
I really liked the Katana but I was much more impressed by your punch-breaking the cutting board at the end. Nice skills.
I love your channel! You have a wonderful personality and make very interesting content!
2spooky9u THANK YOU!!!
is this a comedy skit if not its just sad
i love your video's dude, you got alot of neat weapons.
Skiran Thanks!
These things come like that sharp out of the box, I don't even sharpen them at all. But if I need to, which I did to one.. there are a few ways. Casual and quick way is to use a lansky sapphire stone and tune the edge by eyeballing, but if I go serious, I use a benchstone and whetstone to do it the traditional way, boring but the only way that can get you a nice decent edge for cutting. Nothing is better than that, haha~
Cool katana skills keep up the cool videos
Very impressive plus I love the blue handle and the blood groove very nice man outstanding 😁😁
This one? the katana? go for wild bill wholesale, you can find it there, but keep in mind, this is not recommended for chopping hard targets. Soft and medium is fine, tatami is fine.
it looks like a coldsteel dragonfly series katana, then I clicked the link you posted to a older comment, ill jst say im surprised in the price difference haha. Good video!
Thank you!
dude... this guy is amazing...
Very nice video, I like how you split that cutting board in half!

@@Chiinnature man after seven years youre still replying to comments..... anyway im here cus my friend said to buy a katana rather than airpod pros lmao
I enjoyed watching this video and also learned how sturdy a 50$ sword can be. And that kung fu punch towards the end there was epic !! :D
+K4113B4113 $50? Where do you get one?
Bought this sword and it is indestructible!
cool video, really enjoyed watching it. I've been looking around pawn shops for a fun sword to take in the woods for a bro-down with a friend of mine against the dead trees.
Metallurgical test is done like this: you cut a piece of katanas blade and check material strength or hardness with special apparatus. Also you could make bending test for the blade, how many bounds a 20 cm piece of blade can tolerate (bending), or even total length of blade. Sharpness test with A4 must always have same paper thickness
oh man, this guy is awesome. I loved the video thank you for this!
Thank you !!
I could get high and hang out with this guy.
Love the video!
Yea awesome! This video was entertainment from 0:00-6:22!
Awesome chop with your hand near the end too! Those cutting boards are pretty damn tough, especially agains a hand!
I would like to see a full test with a blade inspection, showing what is normal after cutting
Nice collection ;) very nice
This was interesting and also funny to watch. Thanks.
I'm not used to seeing you review other things besides flashlights.
I can not thumbs up enough! Lol! This guy is worth 10 of most people!
This... Is so awesome.. you are the man!
Awesome strike!
Just to let you know, I'm a knife collector not a martial artist, but
Cheness Cutlery Inc makes real swords for martial arts. $200-$300.
He's paper test was so brutal
I've been looking for a katana for my next video. It would be used to cut my ballistic gel head! Sweet video man :)
haha, it's not "gather", it's cultivate. I do kungfu everyday, and short distance snapping power is something I cultivated for~
thank you for your fast reply i dont know many youtuber that even reply i sure will take a look thanks!
Love your videos man hahaha xD
Thanks!!
I know the warrior series is about $300-$400 range only. Not bad eh?
I like using one now and then to practice form because they do have a different balance and feel than a Bokken. I try to transfer the feel of the live sword to the Bokken when I test. But I have to admit they do making pruning the bushes a lot more more fun than with hedge clippers. Just be ready to be labeled the 'crazy ninja guy' if the neighbors see you at it.
wow those tests were so brutal, the paper stood no chance
thank you for the video again. I have 3 affordable katanas, a cosplay katana... and a replica of Raiden's High Frequency blade from Metal Gear Rising. this video gives me ideas on stuff to cut...
Skylour Spiridigliozzi don't use those for cutting, they are not built for that....
only one is functional, I forgot to mention that one. thanks for the notice. -Skylour Spiridigliozzi PS: could you give me some tips on swinging form, and stance? maybe a video or something?
I love how after the video he had to break the cutting board. he's like now my review is done I want to break stuff XD
Does your mom know you're doing this when she's at work?
As affordable replica katanas (meaning not authentic Japanese made nihonto katanas), $100 range and up are decent enough and battle ready (although are nowhere near as durable as nihonto). I own an Auway Dragon Katana. It's also a full tang and 1095 high carbon steel. You can find good $100 Auway katanas on eBay.
they are literally the same as nihonto hahaha weeb
i have that sword and i paided 40$ for it. it cuts pork really well ( used a road killed pig to tested it out on.) it's called the Onikiri Musashi Katana or the Musashi - Practical Daimyo.
Theh point of this guys sharpness test isn't how sharp the sword is, it's how well the sword retains its sharpness after the exercises and it is pretty impressive. There's a good reason why the samurai never had "4$" katanas.
oh...that one really worth the price.
that iaito sword quality seems excellent =)
Mom shut up, I'm working...chops cardboard, lol cool video
Good on him for trying! Looks like a nice blade. I wonder what the tsuba looks like up close.
$2000 plus isn't what I would call affordable for most people unless they have lots of extra money they can spend on frivolous things.
The $2,000 dollar sword is the one he suggests. It´s not the affordable one he´s demonstrating here.
very nice.
Many thanks. Nice Video!
Your place looks like an armoury now, compared to when this video was made, haha.
