  • Since Roe v. Wade was overturned, 14 states have implemented near-total abortion bans. In Idaho, abortion is a felony unless it’s a matter of saving a mother's life or a case of rape or incest that has been reported to police. Anyone who helps a minor leave the state for an abortion could face jail time. CBS News' Adriana Diaz reports.

not wanting innocent babies to die is not a religious issue. But if it is than your not making a great case for secularism.

I don't get it, if you lose a mother you are loosing an actual person. Aborting a fetus is not killing a person that was alive. Why would anyone want to get pregnant or have kids if this is the type of world that we live in..... The life of the mother matters much more, you could always just have a baby later on.

How progressive and cruel to believe these laws have not gone "far enough, and are a "good" starting point" as the congressmen said. His healthcare is paid for by the taxpayers he has helped deny care to. Everyone speaks of healthcare constantly fueling jobs, guess that it doesn't matter to have healthy babies or a robust population. To all the people of ID - PLEASE VOTE!! What there will be a wave of candidates who will run for office and win because of these decisions made.

@jasonweinstock1282 hell no! I live in a state that still allows abortions so I don't expect to hear about women/girls dying in back alley and diy abortions in MY state. The poor in ID are going to have kids they don't want because they won't be able to afford to leave the state for an abortion. Those parents will resent those kids. Those kids will grow up neglected or abused because they were forced to be born to parents that didn't want them.
