I finally picked up one of your scroll brushes after watching this video. And i must say what a motivational tool it is. Its like discovering a new trick. It will put a smile on your face. And just make you feel good.
Absolute genius!! I've just got your scrollers this week ,from 1 shot in Melbourne Australia.....I know I'm gonna make a mess initially but seeing you stripe is a massive motivation!
Steve your talent flows out of those brushes~ I'm a painter from Hawaii, and at 35 years old, I have an old classic wagon...I guess it was inevitable I start to learn this skill. thank you for such great videos, product & leadership
I started putting my mineral spirits in a glass cbd bottle with the glass dropper. instead of dipping my brush, I just drip a few drops out of the dropper. this saves me alot of mineral spirits.
Actualy I got the brushes. My coworker is Seth. He was on my computer. trying to learn more every day. I will be ordering a grid today or tomorrow. Neat tool.
Ive used nothing but cheap mineral spirits for almost 40 yrs I only add smooth stroke ,NEVER any problems, make sure you clean the surface with appropriate solvents Steve
@kafkapinstriping thanks so much for the reply. I've found the grid, but still no luck with the plastisheen panels. I've seen them for sale elsewhere on the internet for around $50. Advertised as Kafka plastisheen paint practice paper, but did not want to send money to someone else for your product. Been striping now for a few months. I've been a professional tattoo artist for 16 years, but this is a whole new ball game. Love your brushes, been having a lot of fun with them. Thanks again.
I started trimming the points of my stabilo pencil to a rectangular shape, so it fits nicely in between the grid spaces. my pencils last 3 times as long now.
@29roadwarrior Smooth Stroke is a fish eye eliminator ,gloss and flow enhancer, and makes the product more mar resistant, and several people say one shot flows better. Reducer effects drying time, especially in warm climates,so I would never use it. Steve
hola soy de colombia y asta unos dias vi el video y me interesa mucho quiero saber como consigo la plantilla de la cuadricula me interesa mucho este tema gracias

bladesmith1971 to clear one shot with a spray on euro thane two stage add several drops of the hardener to your mineral spirits, every time you pallet you will be “ marrying” the paint and won’t have a reaction, let the art work dry for a couple of days before spraying clearcoat. Pinstriping does not need a clearcoat as 1-shot is an exterior sign paint and is very durable
Hi Mr Steve, do you ship to Singapore ? I am new this this art. I am thinking of getting this no 3 scroller to help me learn. Can this be also be used as an outline for letterings?
having a difficult time finding any of those plastisheen panels for sale anywhere...spent some time looking around kooltie.com...can u post a link perhaps? also, did not see the grid on there yet.
@rogerv777 Plastisheen ,very closely resembles the finish of a car, just the right amount of drag. I have never sold a finished panel for less than $100.00 ,it's availabla on my site, steve kafka.com

What kind of bottles do you use for the paint? Great job of teaching your art!!!
dan hoy I use the bottles sold on stevekafka.com they are PET and will not gas..
upon further review. the brushes I got are first production run from 11/4/05 what a find.
Jason Tidwell kool!
A little bit of Windex and a microfiber cloth
This may sound stupid, but what do you clean the grid marks off with. Just wondering.
If you're using a grease pencil, the lines come off easy with a dry cloth or you can use alcohol once the paint is completely dry.
I'm just amazed...amazed ..amazed
Helena VonDrakenstein you should probably try this...it’s just soo much fun to do..
Helena VonDrakenstein thanks.
