love it good tips nice selection , mine is old 60s patina medical box works great has plenty of deep storage and ,was exactly what i was looking for when i stumbled on it on market place ,couldn't believe it i just had to have it ,everything fits in it so good ,
Looks like I'm not the only fan of the Drag'n Fly Series! I'm just starting out and haven't tried too many brushes yet but I can say that the No. 2 Drag'n Fly is my favorite so far. I'm trying to make it work with water based paint, which it seems to do quite well. I'm mostly learning striping to do lettering and maybe some scrolling--on paper envelopes & cards and leather jackets.....combined w/ gold leaf and airbrush (been airbrushing for 40+ years), other small projects as well. Have all Taklon brushes to use w/ water based as well as having ordered a Mack Series 2838 No. 4--these are made specifically for water based paint. Other brushes I like are No. 4 Virus II and Mack 179L No. 1. So much to learn!
I go through spurts of using my dragon flys. This is just one of my enamel boxes. I have three different boxes for water base; one for canvas painting, one for water colors, and a very full box of brushes for murals and window splash. Way too many brushes. They all have their place though.
Not intentionally. I need to order some again and give them another go. It has been a long time. I do love the Kafka Kwills and use mine all of the time. I have only tried those, and your scroll brush. I need to try some of the others.
