(Project S13 coupe) Manual Seatbelt Conversion using S14 belts

  • Manual seatbelt conversion netted me a 25lb weight reduction! The auto seat belts were a really cool factory install for its time, but the driver side began to slow down-and sometimes stop-so I wanted to get a longer term solution. The manual belts came from a 1995 Nissan 240SX. There was zero modification to mount the belts other than adding a small bracket to the top of the retracting mechanism which was incredibly easy. No special tools needed, and can be done in weekend…or even in a day.

      @@frias2287 thank you. It would’ve probably been worth mentioning in the video that if owners don’t want to mess with cutting wires then they can simply leave it all alone and just unplug and remove the auto-rails, motors, and mechanisms, and still reduce weight in the car by 20lbs.
