The CIS are the coolest of the factions. Huge numbers, fewer lives lost, a decent reasoning to go to war and if it weren't for the clone wars series, they wouldn't even appear evil.
The CIS was run by a shadow government of greedy corporations and slavers.
In it's core, they were evil.
That's because of the sith
@@SirAroace im sorry you seem to have made a typo, you meant "the republic"
The people wanted freedom, the Corporations and sith shit on them.
The CIS was a just cause. It's a shame it was manipulated by the Sith like it was.
I personally mourn its loss.
I love to see the droid army just hunt down Count Dooku
A few things I wanna say about the CIS:
-The reason there were so many "evil" looking characters in the CIS High Command was because many non-humans joined them due to anti-alien bias in the Republic
-I doubt the CIS was a true democracy, considering that their senate was made up mostly of business owners and other such oligarchs
-Several militias made up of living people were used in the CIS army
-Another reason the CIS seceded was because of the Republic's high taxes on popular trade routes
It was also pretty clear from several episodes of The Clone Wars that many members of the Separatist Alliance were unaware of the extent to which their faction was essentially a corporatist oligarchy. They recognized that the Trade Federation, Commerce Guild, Techno Union, IG Banking Clan and such were involved on their side, but the overwhelming majority of separatists would have never had the insight that we gained as movie viewers, seeing Dooku and the various figures of the aforementioned oligarchy plotting. Just as the Republic was unaware of the true nature of their leadership, the Independent Systems were unaware of the true nature of theirs.
So true!
The biggest issue for the CIS was the lack of competent commanders. When they had good commanders like Trench the droids could actually be extremely formidable.
Palpatine really was insane, he was willing to sacrifice so many people and planets just so he could rule them instead of being a chancellor who still has it all.
GOTTA KILL EM ALL, PADAWAN!
Or trying to restore order to the world
And this is how you tell a star wars noobie from a pro.
I carry a gun even while in the house. Reason being after having a toaster and a blender both rebel at the same time seems like a safer bet. The wife saw me wearing a gun in the kitchen and she laughed, I laughed, the dishwasher laughed. Now I need to go buy a new dishwasher
haha this is great
Roflmao
Bwahahahahahahahaha thats some tasty pasta you've got there.
Todd Fox That was awesome!😂
Was the toaster a cylon by chance?
"Don't let the cuteness lower your defenses." Words to live by.
1:56 that makes me wonder if there was a CIS general that looked like a clown
+ΝΙΚΟΣ ΝΙΚΟΣ I’m sure there was
The CIS bring the Killer Klowns into their ranks.
General Pennywise. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
he kills his enemies by attaching balloons to them and watching them float into space
ΝΙΚΟΣ ΝΙΚΟΣ his signature strategy is capturing an energy ship and luring the enemy close “this your ship? Looks like a nice ship” then blasting them to bits once they have fallen into the trap
Gotta say, buzz droids are the second most terrifying thing in star wars after the force. Also the goofy design and sound they made made them creepy as well as dangerous. I'm surprised the CIS didn't use them more often to infiltrate and rip apart capital ships. Imagine 1 buzz droid that cuts it's way into the engine room.
Roger Roger
"Wait who's Roger?" ~Ezra Bridger
What's your vector, Victor?
*ROGER ROGER*
B1 battle droid IM AM THE LOR-*gets shot in the head*
Also, one thing I find odd in The Clone Wars, is in the episode where Padme and Ahsoka go to Raxus and meet Mina Bonteri and Lux Bonteri, Ahsoka says to Lux "I wouldn't want to meet you on the battlefield." It's pretty obvious that the Separatists only have Officers with actual military training and experience, so they wouldn't have any sort of volunteer service for civilians.
6:22 it has been confirmed that each clone has an average kill count of 20-50 battle droids.
well, the ten droids per clones is a basis considering the clone alone with no advantage for both side.
If the clone got saved by another clone or is ambushing the droids then his kill count could be higher than ten.
However if the droids have the advantage some clones could die before doing their tenth kill.
Edouard Degotte umm no it’s not
Edouard Degotte it was after an ARC Trooper (can’t remember the name) sabotaged the primary refinery where the droids were being built so that the metal would be weaker, but the separatists wouldn’t notice and would continue production.
I frikken LOVED Buzz Droids. Wonderful mixture of creepy and hilarious.
+powerofanime1 yea that would be greatest fear if I were a pilot
XD
powerofanime1
They were outlawed after the Clone Wars for obvious reasons.
Too much awesome in a tiny package?
Am I still getting paid?
GENERAL GRIEVOUS: SMASH, DOES ANYBODY ELSE HAVE COMPLAINTS!?!
Uhh yeah, in thought you had the high ground, how did you loose? *All the other droids shake their head at you in shame*
I am not the Jedi you are looking for.
B1 battle droid No! Get back to work.
B1 battle droid Star Wars rp accounts kick ass.
Long live to the CIS
*ROGER ROGER*
They shall rise again, my friend, in due time.
Admiral Trench was awesome! (Trench is the spider guy)
It's scary how accurate his comparison is to the real world yet fascinating at the same time.
*Cringes at usage of Separatist Alliance instead of Confederacy of Independent Systems*
to be fair it seem that while the CIS was part of the Separatist Alliance, not all members of the Separatist Alliance seem to be part of the CIS.
Vive la QUEBEC!!!
The Separatist Alliance is inludes all who fight together against the Republi, inluding all corporations and militias such as the Umbarans and Techno Union. It was lead by the Separatist Council. The CIS is the civilian government of the worlds who seceded from the Republic. Not all Separatists were Confederates but most either were members of the CIS or were rebelling against the Republi to gain control of their planet then join it.
I like the use of Seperatist Alliance. It makes us seem more... Acquainted.
No, the corporate sponsors of the Separatists were part of the CIS as well. The CIS is the official name of the government, while the term Separatist Alliance generally makes it sound like rebels instead of another state.
I want to see a show or a game coming from the cis pov.
Pietree they did an episode in TCW where you see the separatist senate
ironfistman1 that isn’t the same thing as being a part of the CIS army. More importantly that episode was really just there to show that the politics behind war is not simple.
Harder Better Faster Stronger
Pietree that would be fun.
Fuck the CIS.
This channel is amazing. This is exactly the kind of Star Wars content I like
All great points, however that does leave the Separatist Military with one huge weakness: Take out the commander and the army falls apart.
I wonder what would have happened if the CIS wasn’t influenced and shut down by Palpatine. Could the Separatists have won? What would have happened?
We would have ended them rightly.
I always love your comparisons from Star wars to real life! It's so true, reminds me a lot of my English course right now about Cultural context
I hope the next Star Wars series is told from the point of view of CIS remnants after the Galactic Civil War. What would a people who declared the Republic a dictatorship, and were proven right, do now that the military might of the Empire is gone and the Republic is attempting to reestablish itself?
Love these kinds of videos, keep it up!!
Oh well its my programming.
For the separatist alliance!
*Roger Roger*
VIVE LE QUEBEC!!
*ROGER ROGER*
Roger Roger
Get back to work! Or Grievous will scrap you.
Awesome Video!!!
Excellent video very informative you sir just earned a subscriber
And this is why my favorite faction in Star Wars is the CIS
When are we going to get the Republic vs Earth?
It's called NATO.
Great video
Love this series
So many good points. So many real life connections.
You are truly a very awesome and wise human.
The thing is, having droid combatants is not actually as good as it seems. It encourages war and conflict as its main cost is taken away. Also, more civilians would likely be killed in such wars. Not to mention, it means that war is determined by the richest, not by the faction with the most support. On the surface it seems good, but when you dig down to the actual ramifications you realize that a droid army is absolutely not a good or moral idea.
Of course it is. But I was speaking morally,
If there’s anything modern history and modern media has taught us, it’s that with new technology comes new responsibility. If we don’t make sure this new tech is used properly, we risk a world where corrupt politicians can order someone’s death without anyone else’s oversight.
THIS WILL MAKE A FINE ADDITION TO MY COLLECTION

These videos are awesome. Next talk about the Republics, First Orders, Resistances, and New Republics militaries, if you haven't already.
1:56 well Newt Gingrich is one of my fears, so I guess that is right
I always saw the reason for the Jedis' incompetence in war, not the inherent result of their ideology, but because they had been so inactive in combat for the longest time up to that point. I mean, it is implied that the earliest form of jedi were in rigorous conflict with the sith various times in the past. Then again, as you pointed out, there was a disconnect between the Jedi of the past, and the Jedi of the clone wars, so it could be assumed they in their transition from a paramilitary order to peacekeeping task force, they felt a need to ban such material that didn't align with their ideology at the time.... Which is why I felt that one scene in TLJ was soo stupid, with the burning of the Jedi texts.
Thanks Allen - great video as usual... well thought out and presented engagingly. But man, was that one hair on your chest distracting! I thought it was on my screen at first, but couldn't wipe it away.
+Carriage of No Return. Haha yea it’s actually a scratch... did you know ports taste delicious
+Generation Tech porgs*
Because his voice and it's Star Wars, he quickly became my favorite CZcamsr
i really do enjoy these vids more than other star wars fan vids
You GO GENERATION TECH👍
Cool video
I very much enjoy watching your videos and I was wondering if you could do a "who could have stood up to palpatine video" aka Ki Adi Mundi, Plo Kun and maybe Evan Piel. as in my research I have found these three to be grossly underrated.
After the GAR will you be doing vids on the old Republic, Sith Empire and Eternal Empire?
So it was the outer rim against the inner rim?
Basically yes
Very Intresting
I have 3 questions. 1. What happened to all the battle droids after the clone wars? 2. When the Galactic empire was created why did they stop using clones? 3. Wouldnt the galactic empire have been better off to have not only kept the clones but also absorb the whole of C.I.S military?
Happy Halloween!
I like this video a lot.
Always loved blasting the clankers
honestly, The Last Jedi has made me appreciate the prequels a lot more , and maybe with age too I have grown to quite like them, they still don't stand up to the original trilogy, but that doesn't make them bad films in of themselves.
Legititmately grateful for this channel. These are the kinds of things that are worth delving in to. Not all the stupid theories about Snoke being alive still :p
Kinda felt like he was bringing out some Terminator fandom at the end of the video which is awesome. I would actually like to see some kind of story in Star Wars that gives a nod to the whole "machines becoming self aware" idea. Not a whole movie, but perhaps an episode of a show or something. Someone tries to create some highly advanced droids to defend something but they go rogue like Skynet. Of course they would have to make some twists so it wouldn't be a Terminator copycat in space but I'm sure something interesting could be thought out by some creator out there. It wouldn't be the first time something was copycatted in Star Wars and turned out epic. Remember the Zillo Beast? lol
The CIS did use citizen armies on certain planets such as Jabiim where the militia there was used as canon fodder meanwhile the droids where used for a surprise attack
Do the Galactic Republic next
You guys should look at templar armor from the terran armor Corp book series
The Confederacy of Independent Systems was always my favorite faction in Star Wars.
That TV reflection tho
Don't forget Generation Tech, in the wise words of King Katuunko one Jedi was worth a thousand battle droids!
I don’t think all those Jedi at geonosis got 1000 kills
I blame that on bad story writing by George Lucas
To be fair, Katuunko was referring to the *surviving* Jedi, whose training and use of the lightsaber usually put them at an advantage vs hordes of blaster wielding opponents. Not all Jedi trained this way, and they hadn't had a proper battle in what could possibly have been centuries, so it wouldn't be surprising so many would be a little cocky and thus die. You can put many things to bad writing/ decisions on the part of Lucas, but I really don't feel this is one of those things.
I'd love to see more content about the human populated planets who were pro-CIS and see some human CIS generals/military strategists rather than the stereotypical alien bad guy. I think it would be interesting and different.
The reason CIS higher ups looked ''nightmarey'', is because the factions that joined the separatist are from the outer rim, and outer rim planets are a lot harsher, and less connected, that's why species'es there are more adapted to the environment, hence the nightmarey look.
hay generation tech can you do a video on if the tradfederation had gotten a hold of the hk 51 droid as their all around soldiers?
4:20
He protecc
He atacc
But best of all
He has a gun on his bacc
And
He stashed on a racc
Huh wow...I never thought about it like that :O
I love you allen!!!
The fact that Sidious was setting them up to fail the whole time certainly didn't help, but I think the reason the Separatists lost goes a bit deeper: they were at their core, companies. Companies exist to make money, and they make money by selling stuff, not fighting wars. Once they had the backing of actual planetary and system governments interested in leaving the Republic, they had a better chance, but that wasn't until years into the conflict. On their own, they were hosed: they'd be bankrupt in a year or two.
*USA Military Industrial Complex:* hold my beer.....
tba113 what about black water
What *about* them? Mercenaries have been around for centuries, and they only ever go into action when someone else is paying for it. They don't declare war on their own, because who's paying them in that case? Defense contractors only make money if it's someone else's conflict. The Separatist War would be like if, say, Raytheon decided to start launching its own missiles at some country and sent its security guards to invade.
Are u sure ur not confusing the trade federation with the separatists? If not, then I need to go the Star Wars school
You mean like how the Banking Clan was hiking interest rates for both sides? The Trade Federation was abusing military power for trade lane rights, and to call in debts. The Techno Union was given R&D contracts with no bidding. War is when companies can make infinite profit with no repercussions, ending the war was the worst thing they could do.
This was mirrored in our modern day, with the middle eastern conflicts. That conflict was extended years beyond what could have been a short victory, because of war profiteering at the core of American political power. The CIS is very similar to America, in the fact that they have a heavily competitive market, that has been taken over by a handful of exceedingly powerful companies. Even more so companies are considered member states of the CIS, so they can press their goals and monetary gains, disguised as nationalism and patriotic ideals.
Some Separatists used organics in their military too such as Trandoshans, Neimoidians and Geonosians.
Well if the original trilogy was made after the prequels then the republic would have used droids. The Jedi really should not have supported a slave army and I think droids would suit them better. The only reason (in my opinion) that they used clones was because it would be easier to explain the transition to stormtroopers in the original trilogy
also it was called the clone war all the way bake in the original Star Wars, before they even had a idea of what the Clone Wars even where.
Droideka 1337 *clap clap clap*
That makes sense. Even though, it would've been interesting to see the Clone Wars the way Lucas originally intended.
Well you get double points now sir because I live in staten island and that little point is very true.
I figured this would be more like a chain-of-comannd command-structure video
Pretty sure some youtuber did the math for the costs of the droids vs clones. And with just feeding them for 10 years *at double the aging rate* training, arming, and resupplying them *they still have to eat.* From a cost standpoint, 1 clone has to defeat roughly 100 droids to break even.
I have a major question for you. With the Knowledge you have over the star wars universe, if you would have to pick a side wither in the CW or the Empire vs Rebels; which would you choose?
Talk about the quantum drive from the Orville .
Do you have a cat? I have the same scratches everytime
Can you do republic next
Where did you get that super big computer from
+Legend Ninjamaster it might just be a tv
do the sith empire
I am glad you mentioned that the Clone Troopers are slaves. In a lot of wars the prequels could be our future. Nations fighting with slaves, conscripts, against droids, drones.
what song did you use for the backgroundmusic
As a native of Staten Island I concur with your analogy to us as the Outer Rim.
Nice vid but WTFH is that background music? and why i it mixed so loud.
One of the things that bothered me was the incompetence of the droid army.
We've all played video games where someone has an aimbot and they literally do not miss a shot.
These are programs that any computer today can run, I have difficulty believing the droids used in the Clone Wars wouldn't basically be aimbot droids. I don't see how the Clones could ever compete with that beyond human creativity and very unique battle tactics.
Its so weird it's been a long time since I saw the a star wars movie damm are this videos entertaining
Please do the old republic's imperial military. Ill love you 5ever alan
I wonder if Palpatine was betting on having a Droid army until he learned about the clones... unless of course it was him who commissioned the army.
Well, that escalated quickly.
What's the background music?
According to lore, a clone trooper would kill on average 200 B1 droids before finally dying in combat. Many didnt reach that, but many surpassed it, and clones like ARC troopers and commandos regularly reached into the thousands
Finally!!!!
Hay how about put a Mach up between warhammer 40k space marines VS Halo Spartans?
The CIS would have been better phasing out B2 droids. Using B1 droids just as defence/occupation forces, maintanece droids, pilot droids, security droids. Which would drastically reduce numbers. Allowing more funding to producing more BX droids for offensive forces.
Rade Ue Masq b1 droids are faster to make than b2
Dhū Yamnot Exactly. B2 just aren't efficient. They are slow with less dexterity. B1 droids could fill the majority of roles in the military. While BX droids would be the offensive arm of the CIS military.
Rade Ue Masq if the clone wars continued, the cis will overwhelm the republic
Dhū Yamnot Possibly & probably.
Can u do a republic one
What was with the lion at the end?
It's a decepticon
7:19 Sooooo.... Allen wants me to go on a destructive rampage against my roomba???
5:53 if you look close enough, I think you can see the body of a clone pilot
