Your last point is : you should never do something for someone if you get nothing in return. I strongly disagree with this. One example of this is taking care of your kids : you dont raise them with the intent of it ever being profitable, having something in return is not the reason why you're doing it. Another example would be giving money to a homeless person, you dont expect them to do anything for you in return either. Another example would be simply lending a hand to a neighbour. Selfless actions are an important part of being a good person in my opinion. That being said, I do agree 100% that simping is counterproductive when it comes to your personal growth.
