But now it doesn’t matter to me because that’s fair enough and I respect the yes or no either way. I'm personally really uncomfortable with rejecting a guy because I have heard so many horror stories from my guy friends and their experiences so I always really try to be nice when someone asks me out, I've asked out loads of dudes and knows its nerve wracking and all. In my last two relationships I approached the man. I think it’s easier for women though. I saw the interest on my ex’s face when we first met so I waited until he wasn’t busy and I walked over and chatted him up. So he knew I was interested and before the end of the night he came over and asked for my number.
My bf now of one year was so shy he literally blushed when he turned and saw me. I know this video is a couple years old but I just wanted to say thanks. I found it really inspiring. As a woman who used to make the first move and stopped due to the number of times I was being rejected/he had a girlfriend, I think this put into perspective truly how few a number of times it was compared with the average guy. It normalized the number of rejections it takes to find the right person. I am trying to find a job right now too and I feel like this mindset applies to that process too. I try to stop myself from thinking negative things (like it's a shitty minimum wage service job and I have years of experience, why wouldn't they even give me a call about my application) to just accepting that I don't know why they didn't get back to me but it's okay because someone else will eventually.
